Perhaps there are more tourists in the area than I realize to support this ambitious restaurant. Began with the beef carpaccio. There were a lot of flavors happening, which while complimentary, wound up being overpowering. The beef was fresh. The bison short rib was noted as being braised for eleven hours and that it would fall off the bone; a knife was still needed. It was comfort food - like a pot roast. The artic char had a mild cream sauce and came with some small potatoes. The dish very much needed salt, pepper and some other spices to give it some zing. Both dishes came with a mix of roasted carrots, beets and parsnips. All the red wines by the glass were from BC. The Indigenous World Merlot was decent, if a little flat in its flavor profile.

I think we were sitting in the bar area as we saw a larger dining area on the other side of the bar, but we were comfortable where we were. The bathrooms are in the back, near the pool & hot tub for the attached hotel. It is your basic women's room - 2 stalls, 2 sinks, soap and paper towels. He gave us a story of Boo and then told us to have a drink at the restaurant on the mountain which is the highest restaurant in Canada. Our entire day was set by that meal.
