This is the simplest review to write, I Have Never had Prime Rib as delicious as the one we had tonight anywhere I have traveled. This is a show stopper, stand up and applaud for the taste, portion size, price , and the abundance of Au Jus perfectly seasoned. Now for the New York Strip, one word PERFECTION... shout out to the chef. Our waitress Brandy fantastic and has been a staple here for 18 years, truly cares about the customers. Fantastic desserts showcased on a tray, all baked from a local bakery and so very fresh. The only downside to me was the ambiance very dark and very spread out with empty spaces, but who cares when these steaks are better than any New York steakhouse. I stop here once a year and have their prime rib. The staff is great. I was there with 12 other people. We had a few of their appetizers this time and the Bbq quesadilla was amazing. I'm in chambersburg for work and this place was recommended by a coworker that lives nearby so I stopped in for lunch. I was right before 3 (when their lunch ends) and the hostess, who ended up being the owners wife brought me right back. I mentioned how i was worried I wouldn't make it for lunch and she said to not worry about it and felt very genuine and inviting. I got the prime rib sandwich and Caesar salad which was delicious and she even came by to make conversation with me later. My waitress was also incredibly pleasant. I even got a free cookie with my lunch! I'll probably drop by here later this week and if I wasn't on the late shift I would try their prime rib dinner. Stopped here for a meal during our visit to Gettysburg. This appeared to be the only "nice" restaurant open on Mondays. Wow. That was totally good fortune on our part. This turned out to be one of the best meals of the year's travels. Their Monday special was $25 prime rib, and we expected a small serving. When it arrived, it TOTALLY filled the plate and was cooked to perfection. (Rare for hubby; medium rare for me). We also had their clam chowder and it was lick-the-bowl tasty.We topped it off with a Cinnabon cheesecake that was 5 star. Should also mention we had classic martinis and they were perfect. So many bars don't hit the "dirty" level just right but Copper Kettle knows the right formula. Our server was Atley, and if you visit the restaurant, you should ask for her. We came here about 7pm on a Saturday night. We called ahead to see how busy they were and if we needed a reservation. No reservation was necessary. As we entered the parking lot, there were quite a few cars but were able to park easily and entered the building. The restaurant is located in what appears to be an old house. I know from living here years ago that this restaurant has been located here at least 30 years. It has always been a nicer restaurant for the area. We were promptly seated in one of the rooms, there were four total tables in our room but we were the only table seated which we appreciated due to covid. We could hear many other people in the building but were by ourselves in this room. We checked out the menu and made selections. Our orders were taken and arrived in a timely fashion. Everything looked good. Overall this was a good experience for social distancing and service, but the prices felt higher than what they should be for what you get. The best example based on what we ordered is the shrimp scampi - rice, about 6 shrimp, baked potato and side salad for $28.00. read more

Tonight, my son asked to go out to dinner. He's been going through it medically, so wanting to have food and adventure out was a big moment. I took him to Copper Kettle and, per his request, we sat at the bar, which we've done often. A man complained loudly that it's illegal for a accompanied minor to be at the bar (it's not), and demanded we be resat. He was drinking at the bar and also went back into the kitchen a few times, so I'm not sure what his role is with the restaurant is, as drinking while on shift definitely isn't legal. We moved tables, as requested. And then tried to make the best of it, and had a super friendly waiter. This was one of the best dinners I have had in a long time. The owner was cooking tonight, so... he did absolutely amazing! I am particular with a medium-well steak(ribeye) and he nailed it (don't boo me too bad, with the MW - I wanted to test him a bit). Caesar salad was excellent, fresh lettuce and the perfect amount of dressing. Got broiled shrimp with the steak and they were perfectly paired with the steak. Asked for onions and 'shrooms on the side. The onions were seriously the best I have ever had! Mushrooms are not my favorite but they paired well with the onions, steak and shrimp. I never thought it would work together but it was great. Also got broccoli and it too was cooked perfectly. Hats off to the chef/owner who also came out and checked on me, no doubt to see who ruined his ribeye ordering medium well! Highly recommend! Outside the food, service was attentive and recognized the second I finished drinks and checked on me. Bartender got backed up a minute but I didn't have to wait. My first time here, and the food almost did not disappoint. The ambience is pretty casual and it's a pretty spacious place; residing in a home like unassuming building. We sat in the bar area which was pretty decent. For appetizers, we tried the Mediterranean flat bread and it was crisp and tasty! I ordered lean cut filet Mignon and scallops, and the scallops were on point. The only disappointment was that I ordered my filet to be medium rare but it came out a little over cooked, still pretty decent though. First trip back since Covid to celebrate my birthday and my wife and I were both greatly disappointed. The restaurant was nicely remodeled but the food with the exception of her crab cake was only fair. I ordered the prime rib end cut and it was tough and dry unlike any that I or my family have received before. When I said something to our waitress she said that's to be expected because the spices dry out the meat. ( as if only I'd asked for beef jerky) The meat had no marbling normally found in quality grade beef but was more like from a grass fed beef. Over half went into a doggy box for our dogs. Our sides were just mediocre with nothing added to the green beans or rice pilaf to enhance their flavor. Desserts were just OK with nothing exceptional to recommend to others to try. Overall nothing to show for our two and a half hour trip up from Virginia nor from our expenditure of $125. read more

Stopped in to have a late lunch with a friend and wasn't sure what the expect. Decor is woody and old-fashioned and lots of booths, which I love. French Dip: $13.50 Thinly sliced prime rib stacked on a french roll with Au jus and cole slaw. A pretty heaping portion of sliced prime rib and the bread was crusty and I loved the Au jus. It had a really great depth of flavor. I'm usually pretty picky about my cole slaw but it was a great accompaniment to the richness of the french dip. I did find the prime rib slightly on the dry side but once you dipped, all was forgotten. Really great wine selection by the glass for both red and white. I got two glasses of the Cabernet which I was very pleased with. They also offered additional reds: Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet. Service was outstanding. Our server was attentive at the right times. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely come back to this restaurant. read more

A group of us came here for dinner. I had the special, which was scallops. The pan seared scallops were delicious. I also had the broccoli and baked potato dish. They're also delicious. In addition, I also had a stuffed mushroom as an appetizer. I was not disappointed with the appetizer. Someone in our party had the full pound of prime rib. The prime rib was excellent, and he would have it again. Another person had the jambalaya, and onion rings. Onion rings and the jambalaya were also excellent. Overall customer service was excellent and the place was packed with customers on a Thursday night. They do take reservations, which I recommend you utilize. We used to love it here! We came for Christmas Eve and my boyfriends birthday last year. We were so sad when they closed but excited to hear they reopened. We came in on Christmas Eve again this year. The place was empty and there was no music playing in the room we were in which was awkward. The renovation is something they had to do, but it is very plain and not homey/cozy like it used to be. Our server was friendly but overly fake to us. Just be you! She also disappeared a few times that we would have needed her. The iced tea was out of a soda gun- yuck. Onto the food. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious but tiny, you got two very small mushrooms for $16. Their house salad is pre chopped iceberg with exactly one tomato and a few croutons. That's it. French onion soup and seafood platter were delicious, but the rice (I used to love their rice) was crunchy and flavorless. The broccoli was just steamed. My boyfriend got the lobster bisque and the prime rib. He enjoyed it all but unfortunately got really bad food poisoning from it. Not sure from which thing. I'm guessing the lobster bisque but can't be sure. He was very sick all of Christmas Day and the next day. Not a fun way to spend Christmas. First visit. Took the servers suggestion on the stuffed pork, and my dinner date went with the Flat Iron Steak. She was totally satisfied. Steak cooked perfectly. And she thought the veggies were done just right; even though she wouldn't eat the mushrooms which I was happy to savor. I was disappointed with the stuffed pork. While the overall taste said Thanksgiving, I found the potato bread stuffing a little sweet for my palette. I was surprised that the mashed potatoes had a hint of sour milk taste. Sadly I didnt listen closely to the server and missed that the mixed vegitables were in a cheese sauce. But the veggie texture was perfect. Both house salads were delightful. And as I always suggest, one should ask for the dressing on the side. Service was outstanding from hostess to table! And the local PA IPA was a treat. All in all a nice meal and evening. I've been disappointed here in the past. Recently I decided to try it again. The special for the night was six panko crusted gulf shrimp with two side for $25. I got fries and a salad for the sides. Well I'm here to tell you it was pitiful. I seldom leave a shrimp on my plate. I only ate three shrimp and about half of the fries. For the price I was thinking it was fresh shrimp hand battered shrimp. They were definitely frozen. I think they took them straight out of the box into the fryer. My girlfriend also got there coleslaw for a side and she was disappointed. I'm sure this was our last time in this place. read more

If I could rate this place it would be a 0. I worked here for not even 6 months and had to leave. Coworkers were amazing. But Ted was AWFUL!! Let's just give a few examples. 1: There's no cash drawer, you had to bring in your own money. And if you ran out of your own money he made you clock out and go to the bank to get more and don't ever ask your coworkers for money 2: you aren't allowed to sit at the bar after your shift to eat or have a drink 3: we would close at 10, but if someone walked in at 9:59 you had to serve them a whole meal and drinks, you're not allowed to tell them no. If didn't matter if it was going on 1 o'clock you had to stay and so did the cooks 4: The food was all over priced nothing was ever "fresh" sometimes to food would sit out for hours and we would still serve it to costumers. 5: if you were the bartender, you had to help serve tables, take drink orders, make everyone's drink, and show a whole desert tray. AND DONT EVER ASK TED FOR HELP, he would tell you "I own this place I don't need to help" 6: if any of you were ever wondering why it took so long to get your food that's because we weren't allowed to send it all back at once. We had to wait till you were done with your salad, or appetizers to send in your actual meal. Fun fact Ted made me cry on my first day by calling me a "fucking idiot for doing something so stupid" I wish I could tell everyone to stop supporting this place. read more
