If you like home cooked food, not the cookie cutter franchise food this is your place. The food always seems to be good, the staff is friendly and quick. It's not a fancy place but a typical family friendly restaurant. Casual but with some variety of foods on the menu. They also have a seating area for groups. I'm not sure how many so I'd call to check. Go try them out!

Menu, very small breakfast choices bottom right.

Pros- Nice menu Friendly Servers Reasonable Priced Good food Cons- Limited breakfast menu Unfriendly hostess. First time here, in the door your greeted by a hostess who to be honest, seems like she really hates her job, just not very nice. Putting her aside, I found the establishment to be roomy and clean. Our server was "Trudy" who was extremely nice and attentive. They have a large menu but breakfast is limited. I ordered the Ribeye Steak Sandwhich medium rare which came with fries and a small side of Cole Slaw. The sandwich was huge, cooked perfectly but was a bit fatty but flavorful. Ditch the bun as it just became way to soggy to eat. The fries were good, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside and i ordered a side of brown gravey for dipping. The coleslaw which I hear is made in house is some of the best ive ever had, creamy, sweet and just good. Bottom line- This little jewel hidden in a strip shopping center is definitely a must try when in Gettysburg.

    My picky order

Tourist town dinner. This one locals goto. Sunday morning and this place is packed with people. Service was quick and friendly. Fully staffed! I have not been in this place in 20 plus years. This place sits in a strip mall. Parking is not a problem. Prices for the most part are reasonable. And the place looks clean and comfortable. I'm not really a breakfast person. Eggs and pancakes etc are not me. I can be very picky on what and how I order. My meal came out exactly as I ordered it. I wish there was more to it. But in fairness I really didn't need it. I would order it again.

I can't tell you how many times that medium is what I usually get when requesting medium-rare at restaurants. There's a big difference between the two in terms of internal temperature, center color, and texture. This place knows how to properly cook a medium-rare burger, and for me, that's a sign of quality and sets it apart. The sidewinder fries are fab as are the homemade potato chips and either comes with burgers. The dressing on the coleslaw needs some seasoning, but the slaw itself is fresh and crunchy. The Maryland crab soup is pretty slammin', too. I favor the back dining room, not the bar (in front). These 2 areas have different vibes. The back room feels like the way a burger joint should be. The bar is, well, more bar-ish. One of the servers, Brody, provides exceptional service--a shout out to him. I should've left and found another option altogether. We both ordered burgers (of course), his a bacon cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw, mine a patty melt on rye bread with Swiss cheese, fries and coleslaw. Both medium rare. Both came out medium well, no coleslaw, one invisible slice of cheese on each burger and white bread instead of rye on my patty melt. The grilled onions actually looked more like onion jam and the trays with black/white checkered paper this is served on looks like it's never seen a sponge or water. No, I can't recommend this place.

My wife and I had not dined at the Gettysburg Ruby Tuesday for many years and decided to have dinner there after a delightful "Christmas Lights" horse dawn carriage ride through town. Regrettably this Ruby Tuesday visit was not like the visits we remembered. I ordered a 12 oz Rib-eye steak medium rare ($25) with a baked potato and unlimited trips to the salad bar (for an additional $6). I actually would have just preferred just a simple garden salad because I only made one trip to the salad bar. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp with french fries dinner. For beverages my wife had an iced tea and I had a diet coke. The salad bar was not what I remembered....some of the lettuce was brown as was the celery. The other veggies were quite "tired" and few of the many salad bar items were exhausted and still not refilled when I left the restaurant after dinner 45 minutes later. My steak came medium to well done and it was pretty tough which I did not expect from a rib-eye. I decided not to ask for a correctly cooked medium rare replacement because i was really hungry and did not want to wait another 10-15 minutes to eat while watching my wife eat. I did ask the waiter to let the chef know that the steak was not done as requested and he said he would do this. My wife's coconut shrimp and fries were quite tasty and enjoyable. Before I we ordered I showed our waiter a code from the Ruby Tuesday app that awarded us one free entree with one paid entree and he recorded the code. When the bill came there was no credit for the one free entree. When I pointed this out to the waiter he apologized and said the he guessed the discount somehow was not applied. I suspect he simply forgot to apply it? The vinyl tablecloth at our table was deteriorating and peeling off pieces. With the discount applied + tip+ tax the bill came to $51.00. All in all I cannot recommend this Ruby Tuesday as a good dining option in Gettysburg to my fellow Yelpers.

I ordered the King's Soup which was French onion soup except with large chunks of tender beef in it. My entree was the Spring House Salad which was mixed greens, apples, walnuts, chipped smoked turkey, with herb dressing and it was divine. We'd spent an entire day touring the battlefield, it's a Saturday, and the town is full of tourists. No surprise we had a thirty minute wait for a table. But once inside and seated, it was clear to us that the B & G was no ordinary bar & grill. The burgers are themed for generals, both Federal and Confederate, who took part in the battle. Each burger is characterized by the general it's named for. The General Buford, for example, is served with bleu cheese crumbles and horseradish (he's a cavalry officer, get it?) and the Robert E. Lee features a slab of Virginia ham. I ordered the General George Meade. Meade was a Pennsylvanian, so naturally this burger comes with a pile of Philly cheesesteak. A carnivore's delight, to be sure. No complaints here. And if I'm ever back this way, I'm curious to try the General Longstreet: it's served with carmelized onions and peanut butter. That's gotta be good.

Easily one of the better diner style rib plates I have had. The fries were natural cut, perfectly seasoned, and had that ideal texture where they are pillowy inside with a light crisp on the outside. The succotash was simple but still good and comforting. My husband's steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had great flavor throughout. The butterfly shrimp were crispy and paired really well with the steak. His side salad was super fresh with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, and shredded cheddar. I did not even get a photo of it because he immediately dug in and loved it. The service really stood out too. Everyone was so attentive and quick to help with anything we needed like extra napkins or more sauce. It felt very welcoming and genuinely cared for. The interior has that true hometown diner feel where it seems like everyone knows each other. It is mostly booths with some tables and even a classic counter with stools, which gives it that nostalgic diner vibe. With both meals and drinks, our total was under $40, which feels rare lately for portions and quality like this.
