Copper Queen rural Family Medicine Clinic is absolutely amazing. I'm now a client of both there Physical Therapy but now my primary care physician is Doug Simmons, FNP. 3 years ago I learned from my identity theft monitor that we had our identity stolen. Phones on dark web. Computer hacked and I received a blackmail phone call. I have all my data backed up. Didn't need my old medical records they had. And have spent 3 years trying different clinics and doctors trying to get my medical records straight. Realized I was on the wrong meds. Recently had a CT Scan for a liver mass but my PCP yelled at me when I tried to tell her. First appointment as a new patient DOUG Simmons clinic had my results. Mass is benign. I highly recommend Copper Queen Community hospital. Now we have our identity and medical records straight. And they also accept Medicare with WellCare when others in Cochise County do not. It's the best medical coverage I have found for over 65. And I trust and highly recommend CQCH for healthcare in Cochise County. read more

I went to Cooper Queen Community Hospital for a GI outpatient procedure. Since I am new to this area, I was very nervous. Especially, going to such a small facility. Since I previously worked in healthcare for a long time, I am very critical about the care I am given. From start to finish, I would say that I was very impressed with the entire staff. Admission, the nurses and doctors were great. They listened and cared. Especially the anesthesiologist, who was very kind, explained exactly what he was going to do and gave me great advice. Since I have done this several times before (lucky me), I can say this has been one of my best experiences having this procedure done. So, if you have to go for GI procedure, for example endoscopy, colonoscopy etc, in my opinion, I think you will this hospital to be a good choice. read more

I am not pleased with the service I received, but have to say it has to do mostly with the administrative side, to include billing. - I was initially told to go the the wrong facility when I made the appointment. - I was assigned to a physical therapist who did not have the qualifications to treat me as requested by my doctor. She just didn't have the training or certification, but she was nice and did her best. - I was told that I was covered by my insurance, Tricare, but even after I paid all co-pays I received a bill for further charges in the mail. I would recommend going somewhere else if you have that option. read more

On Thursday I broke my left foot. I decided to drive to Bisbee and go to CQCH instead of CVMC. The staff is amazing. Carmen met me at the door and proved my wife a water while she waited outside. The nurses and Doctor were very fast, friendly and worked for me. I hope I do not have to go to the hospitals anytime soon, but if I do I will use Copper Queen Hospital. A review of an out-of-town hospital? Well, that has GOT to spring from a less than five-star experience, right? Right. Ours starts with a 911 call and a trip to the ER to check out my husband's troubling symptoms on what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away from stress. :-( But, what might easily have been a nightmare turned into ... well ... a reasonably "pleasant" experience. Thanks in no small part to the Bisbee Emergency Response Team and the staff at Copper Queen Community Hospital. The EMTs arrived quickly and were efficient and friendly. Since no screaming sirens and breakneck speeds were needed on the way to the hospital, they took care to guide me, because I had absolutely no idea where the hospital was. Once we arrived, I started to head to the front entrance and they waved me over to the ER bay. The very sweet and friendly admin actually came to me (!) to take our insurance information! We had one of beds in Emergency. The staff was relaxed and results of my husband's blood tests and x-ray were available in 50 minutes! The doctor was accessible and informative. Driving back home to Tucson, my husband and I talked about what probably would have happened if were in Tucson facing the same situation. We probably would have gone to UMC emergency. We agreed (based on past experience) our time spent in the ER would have doubled. Maybe tripled. The Resident physician assigned would not have had the knowledge to give us the same diagnosis our doctor did at Copper Queen. If I was involved in a traumatic auto accident with life-threatening injuries, give me UMC! But. I have to say, we came out better, more informed and more kindly treated at little-teeny Copper Queen. So Yay! And a big FIVE STAR SALUTE. read more

Copper Queen Hospital 10524 E Highway 92 Hereford, AZ. -------------- If you expect follow-up medical care when you are very ill this is not the place to go. The office staff puts you off saying how busy they are, then 'forget' (because they're 'with patients') to call you back. I guess you're chopped liver unless you're physically present being billed for a visit. Also? The answering service is extremely hostile and 'decides' who gets to speak with the on-call nurse. According to them there is no on-call after hours doctor. They literally expect you to just put your medical needs on hold until its convenient for them to address your need. 100% BAD SERVICE. *** ZERO*** stars. read more

Outstanding service; left another emergency room because of poor service and drove 25 minutes south to this location. My wife was immediately taken to the back and treated. Staff was exceptional, professional and extremely friendly. I will make the drive every time if need be. I can't stress enough how outstanding this location was. read more

Be sure to ask how much your xray will cost you. I had two chest xrays that cost $933. Never going there again.

No transparency in billing/pricing. I was told it was "slightly more" to get blood work done at this hospital versus an independent lab. I got stuck with a $2,200.00 bill for something that would normally cost $200.00 at an independent lab :( read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had. Went in because my stomachs was in excruciating pain. While they did get me to a room in a timely manner, when it came time for them to draw blood, they somehow either couldn't find a vein to put the needle in, or botched the veins they did find, causing one of my veins to burst. Next, they misdiagnosed me with a bowel obstruction, and wanted to send me all the way to tucson to get treatment, when sierra vista could do the same treatment plan, for less of a drive. While trying to put the IV in, they still couldn't find a vein and ended up blowing another vein. At this point due to my absolute fear of needles, I was done with being poked. They did send me to sierra vista as per request, who due to my misdiagnosis put a tube through my nose and down my throat to pump my stomach and help the obstruction unclog itself. They did an excellent job there, and found out that I DID NOT have a bowel obstruction. I will never go to this hospital again. read more

Not a good experience when I hurt my foot, 3,000.00 plus bill for just doing a simple x ray of my foot, which wasn't broken. The insurance only covered part of it, so I was on the hook for 1,500.00, and wasn't even offered a cup of water, or a blanket. Never again, and my Dad, and all my Uncles, and Aunts were born in Bisbee, I will either go to Benson, or Tucson next time, way overpriced!!! read more

I had a medical emergency while staying in Bisbee and my wife and I were concerned that we would have to drive all the way to Sierra Vista or Tucson to receive care. She found the Copper Queen CH we arrived in about 5 minutes. Having worked in hospitals, including Mayo, I was overwhelmed at what this hospital had to offer and how we were treated. The nursing staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The doctor was no nonsense and had wonderful bed side manner. I was there for over 4 hours and was released knowing that they would be there if I needed them. Sure enough, I had to return later that day and was welcomed with genuine concern and kindness. The same doctor upped his game and sent me home with my symptoms relieved until I could receive further care once I returned back to Phoenix. Once back there I was proud and happy to brag about the amazing care that I received at the little hospital in Bisbee. Not that I ever want to go back but if I ever have another emergency while visiting that part of Arizona, I have great confidence in knowing that the staff at the Copper Queen Community Hospital is there to take the utmost care of me. read more

This is my first time ever going to this hospital and I had to give a 5 star. I was treated really good by all the nurses, front desk, dr. They definitely did everything they needed to do to make sure I was okay. I went in because I been having chest pain & trouble breathing. I have anxiety problems but at this point I felt like it was something other then anxiety. They did an EGK on me, blood tests, urine tests, put a heart monitor on me, checked babies heart beat because I am pregnant. Not only did they do all these test to make sure I was okay, but also checked on baby. The nurse I had was absolutely wonderful, she was caring, understanding, no judgement at all. In the end my tests were normal so they had no reason to believe something major was wrong. It's just my anxiety I guess it's jus super bad this time around. They wanted to give me Benadryl to calm me down but I told them I didn't want it. I've had very bad experience with Benadryl, I pretty much calm down because I felt safe with these doctors/nurses. I knew they were doing everything they could to make sure me and baby were okay. I had a good experience and I have no reason to give this hospital a bad review because I got great care and I will return in the future. I came from Sierra vista, the hospital in Sierra vista will not beat this hospital forsure. read more

Copper Queen Community Hospital treats patients like kings and queens, really. You are in at lightning speed, see a REAL DOCTOR in literally minutes and get kind, knowledgeable and compassionate CARE. Do NOT trust your life to any others than maybe Benson, (they are great also) but too far for emergencies in the SV, Hereford, Palominas, Bisbee, San Pedro Valley area. CQCH is the best care in the area, hands down, period. I've been here for decades and the other major hospital in another nearby town is as bad as it gets. Long waits, no doctors, (oh you get to be treated by a nurse tech, oh joy, then pay for MD prices!), and the sickest patients are crowded into rooms and left for hours. Do NOT trust your life to any others than maybe Benson, (they are great also) but too far for emergencies in the SV, Hereford, Palominas, Bisbee, San Pedro Valley area. Copper Queen RULES! read more

Nice to have them in town, but during their major construction I brought a friend to ER. There was no way out of the driveway and was directed to "BACK UP". Backed right into a hidden post causing $600 damage to vehicle. Now there are large orange plastic guards protecting the intruding and damaging thing, but hospital told me I should have looked where I was going. They did not handle this in a professional manner and also have insurance that could have covered this; it was a fault of the construction project. Also had my credit card stolen out of purse getting lab work done. So, don't let go of your purse when you go to the bathroom. Doctors and nurses take good care of you, by the way. read more

Worst experience ever yesterday at the emergency room. You guys have the worst emergency room doctor ever. My husband broke his hand yesterday . The nurses were nice but the doctor was very unprofessional and got upset with my husband because he was in pain while she was touching his hand . I can't believe we had to wait till today to drive to Sierra vista to get him casted . Makes no sense to me . Than for dr to say he has a fracture but it's questionable is very unprofessional. When two other doctors said no question there is a fracture. read more

I recently brought a friend in to this ER. The wait time was great. We were seen quickly. The nurse and ER tech were professional and kind. We were brought into a room and vitals were done and my friend was assessed quickly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. I am removing 2 stars because there is absolutely NO patient privacy. When put in a room with curtains that when closed are still open 2 to 3 feet on one side how do you expect someone to change or feel comfortable when being looked at by a physician. The curtains do not close and are so short you have no privacy or personal space when you are in your most intimate positions. When speaking to the nurse she pulled a privacy shade over the outside window which was kind and she was very apologetic but I don't see myself visiting this ER again if I have to worry about being exposed to the entire emergency department. You would think a hospital would think twice about putting curtains up like this. It's like they ran out and used whatever they had left over. Even the staff stated they have asked multiple times to have them replaced. Of course those higher up do not care because it does not involve them but if they were patients I think they would care if they were exposed in those manners. read more

My husband took me to the emergency dept at Copper Queen Community Hospital in Bisbee AZ on Thursday night. I was seen right away. Everyone was super nice. My doctor, Dr Light, was very caring and knowledgeable. My nurse, a young man, I believe his name was Steve Jones, was also very caring and knowledgeable. Overall, everyone was wonderful! I highly recommend this hospital emergency room staff. The building itself was just refurbished and was first class! read more

I have scleroderma, scoliosis of the spine, lupus, RA, Crest syndrome, etc. and had seen my doctor, at the Copper Queen Clinic, associated with the hospital, for over 13 years. She had tried everything on me, including 13 other doctors, some who also said I had lupus, yet, now that she's gone, this new doctor, I just saw today, is acting like there's nothing wrong with me and is treating me like a drug addict. He wants to make me see a physical therapist, which I had, in the past only ending up hurting more. Plus, I can barely pay my long lasting doctor bills, I can't afford to pay for more doctors, etc. They haven't done a blood test in years, yet he claims my blood tests are negative. What blood tests?? The substitute doctor I was seeing after my primary left her practice, (after 13 years with me), had once seen me, reading another patient's records, until after 15 minutes, I realized she was talking about someone else. These doctors are determined to put me back into my wheel chair and staying in bed because of severe pain. I am currently taking care of a disabled person, as well as myself, with no help at all. There is no one for us, to help take us places, shop or do the work. Now, I won't be able to do any of these things. I guess I will have to die, let my disabled ex die and/or contract cancer in order to get help. If you have cancer, these doctors will help you. Otherwise, stay away from them. They only want to treat colds! Please, if you have fibromyalgia, Mixed Connective tissue disease, lupus, etc. DO NOT GO TO THESE DOCTORS! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR LICENSES! read more
