The funny thing is, she turned away my daughter who was new to the area because she *suspected* that she wanted pain management. (My daughter has a ruptured disc in her lower back and did need a referral to a surgeon, but she was really just looking for a GP to take care of the day-to-day stuff. You know. The occasional sinus infection. Keeping an eye on cholesterol, dietary advice, running tests for any weird stuff that pops up. Normal GP things.) If that weren't the case, there'd be no other doctor for me. Breaks my heart that I can't have a great GP for hormonal issues because I also broke my back as a child. My broken back is fixed. I have a doctor who treats my pain, so that's not an issue that the GP has to deal with. Hardly seems fair.

I went through chemo treatment for my cancer. The expertise and care I was given at Southwest Cancer Care was exceptional. Of course, there are side-effects and other warnings for patients who are going through this treatment. Of course, I managed to experience several side-effects.
