Knight Academy sent me my 2020 tax information showing at the end of the year I had a negative balance of -280.00. When I emailed back to ask if I was owed a refund staff emailed back and stated that- they would get back to me the next day. I waited a few weeks figuring they were busy. I sent a follow up email and got no response. I gave it a few more days then when I tried to call about the issue on a Friday afternoon my call went to voicemail. 7 times. It is VERY strange for a daycare to not answer in the middle of a Friday so that's when I realized they were avoiding me. After blocking my number I was able to get a hold of someone who told me to contact the director. I tried to email director for a simple question of "Am I owed a refund or not?" and it bounced back which has never happened to my emails to them before. Based off all this I would not recommend this company to anyone I know.

Knight Academy notified TOPA parents of a spring break camp on 3/2 with spring break starting on 3/6. That should have been the first red flag. But we signed our daughter up thinking it would be fun for her to hang out with her classmates at Knight Academy on her campus during the week-long spring break camp. The spring break camp confirmation email was riddled with spelling errors and conflicting information about where the camp would be held. Pretty sketchy coming from an "educational academy". Second red flag. Then on Sunday morning - the day before the first day of spring break camp -we get an email that camp had been cancelled due to lack of registrations. What did they think would happen when they notify parents four days before camp begins that there's even going to be a camp?? Third red flag. Their camp cancellation notice also stated that refunds had been processed and would be received in 5-7 business days. We're on business day 19 and still haven't received a refund. Four red flags now... The icing on the cake and the fifth and final red flag was the additional notification we received through their payment system - Active Advantage - that we had been signed up for a MONTHLY Active.com membership for $89.95 that we did not agree to (google active advantage membership scam if you want details). Thus ensued a way too complicated series of emails to Active Advantage's customer service department demanding that the membership we "agreed to" be canceled. Turns out the "join" button is pre-selected "yes" when you check out. If you don't catch it and de-select you're in for a fun ride and out $90/month. Pretty gross business practice IMHO. Avoid this place unless you have no alternatives. As stated at the top - we've heard wonderful things about the teachers but management at Knight Academy needs to get it together if they want to be taken seriously as an "educational academy".

We came from another local daycare facility in the area, and we are so glad we found this place. From the outside, the building might look small and a bit tucked away, but it truly proves the saying "you can't judge a book by its cover." Once you walk inside, the facility is surprisingly large and spacious, with beautifully decorated high ceilings and thoughtfully designed learning areas. Lily, the Director, has been amazing from the start. She regularly checks in with us and makes sure everything is going well. She and the entire staff are incredibly cheerful and professional, while also creating a genuine sense of care and trust. Every morning we are greeted with smiles, and my son is excited to go to class each day. One of the biggest differences we've noticed compared to our previous daycare is the variety of activities and spaces available to the kids. Because the facility is so large, the children aren't confined to one room or a single playground all day. Instead, they get to move throughout the school and experience different environments. Some of the amazing things available to the kids include: - A mini cafeteria where they can participate in cooking activities - A science lab - An indoor basketball court - An in-school library with Spanish lessons - A media center - Three large playgrounds for different age groups - Art classes - An imagination center for dress-up and creative play - A large activity room with a stage, toys, and tables for group play The environment allows kids to explore, learn, and move throughout the day rather than being cooped up in a single classroom. They have space, freedom, and endless opportunities to grow. Since starting here, we've already seen so much development in our son compared to our previous facility. We're incredibly happy with our decision and excited to continue our journey here.

They set up a space for the kids to distance learn and then had fun activities for them to do. We just recently took in my granddaughter and needed childcare, so naturally I came back to my friends at Creme de la Creme. She is in the infant room and Ms Valerie, Ms Josie, and Ms Mary are so sweet and so kind. The culinary space is amazing, imagination island is a little town of make believe, and the science room looks like a solar system. This place is AWESOME. Highly highly highly recommend a tour and you can decide for yourself!

Despite the team at this school seeing and hearing the fear in her voice (she couldn't breath...she was in horror and terrified), they refused to switch her out of the class with a bully. Mind you, this school has kids in sections all day. You are with the same group all day. Instead of switching her out of class, they insisted for a month, that forcing her to go to class would help. After 9 days of my daughter in horror of sitting in class all day with this child, I encouraged her to go (per their request). Day one of returning, this bully would not leave my daughter alone and shoved her. The team there says it never happened. They claimed to review cameras and that this never happened. This happened to other parents, and they refuse to provide evidence for parents to see. Meanwhile I have been able to provide a steady stream of evidence to the school, and they claim it's false. The PD has also shared this school has been made aware of this issue from a handful of parents. I've never heard my daughter cry in such fear before. Since they still refused to switch her out of the class, I brought her in so they can face her so they can say to her face (hyperventilating, crying and in terror) and say to her face that she is "lying". They all said they were "busy" twice while I waited. Not one person in their large leadership team could come out. This school took 30 days of inaction and has accused my child and my family of lying. This experience has been beyond traumatic for our child and our family. I am very disappointed in Great Hearts with how this has been handled. The leadership has been rude and condescending during this whole experience. I am telling everyone I know to avoid Great Hearts. They do not stand by their mission and values. Avoid this school at all costs.

He was at one school prior to this one for 3 years. We moved him because of the reputation Great Hearts has. We were also told originally that by attending Young Hearts, you receive priority getting into Great Hearts which we later found out is not true and illegal. I have a long list of issues but the biggest one that I believe families need to be aware of is that there are two teachers that put their hands on children here. I can only speak to our experience with Mrs. Hopple aggressively grabbing and pulling my 3.5 year old on the playground against his will while he pulled away and cried to the point of almost throwing up. I only found out about this when other parents kids went home scared and shared with their parents what had happened who then shared with me. Once I asked my son he shared the same details. I went into the school the next day livid about the lack of safety and care for my child. I was told by Mrs. Rodriguez and Mrs. Campbell that it was investigated, they watched the video footage and what was shared with me was true but they thought it was a "coachable" moment for Mrs. Hopple. Mind you before this even happened, there were multiple incidents I would hear Mrs. Hopple yelling and raising her voice at children and had made complaints about this and was told over and over that she was being "coached." I filed a complaint for negligence with their headquarters and was contacted by the vice president of Young Hearts who was also livid about the situation but said mrs. Rodriguez had made the choice to keep Mrs. Hopple as a teacher already. I pulled my son from this school and can't in good faith not share publicly so other families can make informed decisions. There are two other teachers specifically I have heard not be kind to students and say things like "you are absolutely ridiculous and I shouldn't have to raise my voice at you all" which in my opinion is completely unacceptable when speaking to young children. Kids shouldn't feel threatened or scared of their teachers. Mrs. Macias was the best and the only reason I felt good about bringing my son there for a while but then she quit at the end of May and I knew that was a sign there was no hope there anymore. I know of two children who were unenrolled without notice by Mrs. Rodriguez. I've walked into class and witnessed students sitting in the dark around an iPad watching blippi/YouTube which I think is ironic for a school that pushes no pop culture so significantly. They announced based on parent feedback they are closing earlier and raising prices (no parent would request that, just say that was a leadership decision), and I have countless screenshots + documentation of unprofessional and negligent messages from Young Hearts that I am willing to share. I think leadership there is the worst I've experienced and that impacts the culture of the overall school and lack of care and commitment + why teaching is lacking significantly as well. I understand there's not many options out here for schools but I rather drive more and know my child is safe then go where is close and be anxious everyday about my child's safety and care. I hope sharing our experiences helps protect another family.

Teachers this year have extremely high expectations for 10 year old kids. The last two months the school has pointed out behavior issues with my son. I'm so disappointed how the school has been treating and dealing with my son. He doesn't want to go to school because he feels like the staff is targeting him. If your kid fits the "normal" stereotype of a kid, they will do fine at the school. If your kid struggles in anything, behavior or academically, don't waste your time sending your kid here.
