I cannot say enough good things about The Goddard School in Verrado. As a mom, trusting someone else with your baby is not easy, and this school has truly given me so much peace of mind. My daughter has been attending for almost a year now, since she turned one last April, and the growth I have seen in her has been incredible. She is happy when she walks in, she is learning so much, and she is genuinely thriving in every way. From day one, we felt so welcomed. The staff made the transition smooth with their warmth, communication, and care, and it quickly felt like a place where my daughter truly belongs. A special thank you to Ms. Erma. The love, patience, and attention you give her every day means so much to me. Our daughter attended this school from Age 2-5 and if given the choice, we would choose Goddard time and time again. Her progress was exceptional and she walked away knowing partial sign language, having a great grasp on the alphabet and reading fundamentals, and was exposed to other cultures and languages. Plus, the staff is so kind and compassionate. Yes, the price may be a bit higher than other schools aka daycares, but you get what you pay for. We have infant twins at the moment, and once there is an opening to accommodate them, we will be heading right back to this Goddard School location. read more

We withdrew our child from The Goddard School (Verrado/Buckeye) in May 2025 after a serious classroom incident--and a concerning lack of clear response from leadership. Our child shared that a teacher grabbed her arm during nap time and said, "If you don't stop crying, your mom won't come back." She was also told, "Babies cry," and asked if she should be moved to the baby room. We later learned this type of language had been used by other staff before. The school confirmed there were no witnesses, no cameras, and the teacher denied it. With "no findings," they said there was nothing they could or would do. We clarified that we weren't asking for the teacher to be terminated--we simply wanted to understand the general process. Their only explanation: "We talk to the teachers." "There are no findings" They moved the teacher out of the classroom, and confirms with us it was only because we requested it. There was no indication of any proactive temporary separation planned or clear internal protocol during their review. Most of the communication came via phone. Our app messages with leadership were quickly deleted without explanation - although they mentioned we'd have access until a certain date. No written follow-up or documentation was provided about our incident or next steps --except a message listing books and toys they planned to buy to make our daughter "more comfortable." We were also told--only after raising concerns--that our child had been spending a "significant" amount of time alone in the bathroom because of what they believed to be due to her "anxiety." This had never been communicated to us, and no clear supervision plan or recap was provided. Throughout the process, the response consistently redirected back to our daughter's "separation anxiety"--using terms like "just an anxious girl" or "emotional"--rather than addressing the reported behavior or outlining how the classroom was being made safer. We fully expect a templated public response referencing "partnership" and "child development" or "aspects of this review that don't need to be addressed publicly" ... But that's part of the problem. The messaging and brand is polished and templated - they're great at being tour ready. But what happens behind the scenes from leadership AND in the classrooms felt chaotic reactive, inconsistent, and dependent on whether a parent knows what to push or ask for. If you're considering this school, don't bother about asking about curriculum or class ratios.. i Ask how they handle disclosures from children. Whether anything is documented when there's no witness. What retraining or behavioral expectations exist for staff regarding touch, language and emotional regulation. Ask What steps are taken to ensure a child's safety without relying on the parent to spell out what needs to happen. read more

Amazing experience here at Goddard Buckeye, we are sad to be leaving due to a job relocation. The teachers and staff at each level have been nothing short of amazing, the facility is very clean and stocked with all the things, and the curriculum is top notch. We have had our kids in the 18month-3 year old classrooms and once they adjusted to go to school (about 3-4 weeks) they did not want to go home at pick up. You can immediately recognize the growth and hear about all the things they are learning each day + the sweet friendships they create are make us so happy to hear about! Verrado is a very special place and if you have young kids Goddard makes it that much more special to be in Verrado. We love this school and will miss it dearly! read more

Took a tour of the school and absolutely fell in love with it. From the initial greeting, to speaking on the phone prior, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. This is exactly what you look for when they are caring for your child. The rooms looked very clean. They checked my temperature when I walked in and everyone had masks on. Saddened by having to write this review, but please do your research before selecting a preschool for your child. I withdrew my son after four days and regret every bringing him here. I noticed the "teacher" have an attitude with my three year old son at pickup time twice and when I brought it up, I received two phone calls with a list of safety issues he was portraying. Three year olds are going to have their good days and bad days and the fact that these adults were not able to find the compassion or patience in their heart to give my son a chance was disheartening. They truly made it seem and feel like they did not want to struggle with doing the job that parents pay (a hefty tuition) for them to do. My recommendation is to research preschools and daycares and the actual adults that will be interacting with your child on a daily basis. read more

As a member of the area that this Goddard greatly serves, I can honestly say it's so wonderful to have a school where the staff and owners are participants in local community events and organizations. My child attended the school for 3 years and loves going back to visit and enjoys the amazing summer programs they hold each year. I know her strong social skills and love for school now stemmed from her wonderful experience with the teachers as many of her original day to day faces are still there! I feel very content with recommending The Goddard School here in Verrado when asked my opinion. read more

The food service with options ultimately failed providing an allergic reaction to my child. On another occasion my child hurt herself from what I was told on the phone while playing, they, over the phone said it was not a big deal. When I picked her up she had a goose egg knot all bloody on her forehead. The last straw was going to pick up my child during nap time which they stressed for you as the parent to never show up at this time. I saw two boys on the floor and a woman standing over them by their heads as she was scolding them! Do not go to this school! read more

Wonderful school, wonderful owners, wonderful staff. My 2 year old and my 4 year old both attended Goddard school this summer. Once was while we were moving into our house and one additional week because my 2 year old begged to go back! Both times we were thrilled with the care the teachers provided. My two year old always points to the building and says, "my school!!!" Now, several weeks later, I needed child care assistance due to the passing of my grandfather. The director, Mandee, was compassionate and accommodating, making sure my kids had spot in the classrooms and greatly easing a huge worry and stressor for me at this difficult time. I know my kids will be lovingly taken care of and will be thrilled to be at the Goddard School. Can't praise this business, owners and teachers enough! read more

My granddaughter goes to this school, i have dropped her off a few times and picked her up too. I have to say that i was surprised to see that the staff is really young. I was more surprised to see the little attention the young staff paid the little ones. A pair of toddlers were tugging over a book and the two girls who were suppose to be taking care of the kids were enthralled in their conversation unfazed by the crying toddler who was trying to save his book. Another time a little one needed to have his nose clean, and even though the care taker was talking to this toddler she clearly didnt see a need to wipe his nose and clean his face. It is a good school, in a good location with flexible areas but there is room for improvement. read more

This is our sons second year of pre-school at The Goddard School in Verrado. I stupidly decided to try the Verrado Elementary pre school this year instead, went to the open house there & immediately called Beth the next morning asking for her to take us back at Goddard! She with open arms, found a spot for our little guy & he started that next Monday. Its really like a small family there. Very clean, everyone is smiling and its very easy to get in and out in a timely manner. Having a bathroom with a sink in each classroom is a huge deal to me. I cant say enough good things about them. It will be very sad when he moves to Kindergarten next year and we have to say goodbye. You definitely get what you pay for in life. This is one decision I do not regret. My children have been attending Goddard for 1.5 yrs now and I have to stay that having 4 children ages 4-15, we have used more than one preschool/child care facility... This place ROCKS! My kids love going! The teachers are awesome and loving. It's an all female staff of well trained, caring professionals. I'm so glad knowing my kiddos are safe here. Keep up the great work ladies! This review is way overdue, but I feel we owe as family a huge thanks to Goddard School in Buckeye for the excellent care they provided for my son, who is now in second grade. He was originally at another inferior child care facility in Buckeye and I'm now glad it abruptly closed without warning, because then we found Goddard School. My son loved being in Ms. Mandee's class a few days a week and made many good friends there. The facility was always spotless inside and out. I liked having the secure front door with code. I really enjoyed the little graduation ceremony they had at the end of school year. I still have the e-mails they sent every day, and still read them every now and them. There were so many cute art projects, and home work papers, and announcements, we could not possibly keep it all, but those emails I can keep with me anywhere. I liked that we parents were always kept in the loop, even when there were less than good news to announce. I felt really comfortable leaving him there every time, and even though we have not been in touch I'm sure it is still the same wonderful place. The only, and very minor, annoyance was the billing which apparently was geared towards full week attendance and paying for two days only made it somehow look like we were constantly behind our payments, even though we were not. read more
