The teachers are passionate, motivated, and very knowledgeable. Kat herself is the most caring and charismatic person I have ever met! She is overflowing with talent and knowledge about music and art. In addition she offers kindness and support to ALL her students. The music facilities are super clean and child friendly! There are always happy kids coming in and out of lessons. Plus there are so many different types of classes offered, I wish Kats Artist Tree was around when I was a kid! The best part is the different classes share their work. Through performances and presentations that highlight what was learned and improved upon, from children to adults. Voice lessons are always fun because you have the opportunity to sing in front of an audience.

I thought they might…read moreteach him some skills or different drawing techniques but it really was just him sitting in a classroom drawing next to other children. This may be helpful if your child doesn't have time to draw but for any blossoming artist who spends hours of their own time sitting and drawing there isn't any value to this time at Kat's verses being at home. I'm not sure the "teacher" has any sort of special training; actually i don't think I ever even saw the teacher or had any feedback from him/her(?) in the 4 months we attended. During this time I saw no change in skill or ability from this class. He didn't particularly enjoy it either. It seemed that the front desk assistant frequently taught the class which started late and ended early regularly. My son benefited from the Young Rembrandt's program at his school more than this program and YR, for the most part, just taught him how to shade. So the bar wasn't set extremely high. This school also requires a registration fee ($60) to even try any of the classes and also requires a credit card on file which they cannot update except in person. There isn't any online account management.. They don't allow for over the phone changes and their withdrawal policy is also very strict so we ended up paying for a month we didn't want. They also sent my credit card information entire number, expiration date, ccv code, address and full name (!) in clear text VIA EMAIL unencrypted which is very very horrendous security policy for a company who requires this information be provided. They are not obviously not PCI compliant so I'd be wary of providing them this information. They aren't particularly nice or friendly either. We won't be back.

I was devastated but my friends told me Legendary is an awesome place and to try it out. I am so glad I took their advice because from the very beginning they have worked with my daughter and challenged her (in good ways). I have seen my daughter's confidence grow and she loves all of the instructors. I love that they not only teach karate expect the kids to be respectful and that the preach team work. Those are exactly what I was looking for when we decided to try another karate studio. We have also enjoyed the bully prevention workshops (which my daughter uses in school now) and other activities that they host on a regular basis. I also like that my daughter can attend multiple times a week and it gives her a positive environment to grow and thrive in. They also have adult karate (which I often consider but haven't made the jump yet), but if you are looking for a karate home - you should definitely give Legendary a try.

They do forms, weapons, board breaking, self-defense, sparring and leadership. We didn't compete but I have friends who do and say it's a ton of fun. It can get pricey. That's the only draw back. They offer classes for preschool to adults.

Super affordable, super accessible, and low-key in the best way. If you're someone who just wants to get in, get your workout done, and not deal with the whole selfie/influencer gym scene... this is it. YMCA's are also notorious for being very involved in the community . You can find all kinds of events and programs year round . Most people don't realize you could grab a day pass for around $15 (family pass is like $25), which is such a good deal for everything you get. Memberships start @$35. They've got all the essentials--gym, group x classes, pools, basketball court, lockers, showers. Nothing fancy at all but everything you actually need. They also offer sponsorships for those in need . Kinda a " no one gets turned away " philosophy. The staff here were also great. I was greeted right away, did a quick waiver, and they gave me a full tour without rushing it. Answered all my questions and made it really easy to feel comfortable walking in as a first-timer& Overall just a really easy, no-pressure environment. Definitely coming back to actually get a workout in next time.

Located near Payson, this camp is the perfect place to get away from the summer heat. My older children have attended several camps/programs at Camp Geronimo. They have enjoyed each visit. I am giving the camp 5 stars for the weather, as well as the views. Having picked them up from camps, I can attest to how beautiful the weather is during the summer. If attending BSA summer camp, there are a plethora of merit badge classes, adventures, day and night programs, swimming, boating, shooting sports, fishing and horses programs. Horse and fishing programs have extra fees. One of my kids loved the rock climbing wall. The summer camp programs are designed so that there is something for each Scout. There is a small shop. Shop is a mixture of Scout items, stickers, patches, snacks, and random goodies. This is also where leaders pick up advancement and awards earned at camp. Some of the facilities can use updating. Maybe it adds to the rustic charm. Geronimo is open to more than just Scouts BSA. Their 200 acres are available for rent by groups other than the Boy Scouts. Cabin and campsites are available. That is in addition to staff cabins. There is also a pool, amphitheater, creek, hiking trails, shower facilities, and health lodge. Reservations for outside groups may be made at: https://www.campgeronimo.org/reserve/ The ride up can be a bit tricky. If you have a truck or off-road vehicle, I highly recommend it. Upon leaving Payson, the road gets bumpy and steep. It can be a difficult drive in a small car.
