This is the worst school district I've ever dealt with. My child attends this school, and everything I hear from my child and other parents points in the same direction, things have gone downhill fast. The teachers aren't the problem. Most of them are doing their best. The real issue is the leadership under the new principal, Rachael Crossman. Since she took over, communication with parents has practically disappeared. Concerns go unanswered, and many families feel like she simply doesn't prioritize the students' well being. Parents talk constantly about how the atmosphere has changed. Great teachers have left, questions go ignored, and conversations get deflected with excuses. Several parents have even said they feel she behaves unprofessionally, including gossiping about families and staff, which is completely unacceptable in a school environment. What worries me most is the environment this has created for the kids. Many students describe the school as tense and unwelcoming, and more than a few have said they feel intimidated by the administration. When children are saying they're scared of the principal, something is seriously wrong. If you're considering this school, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. A school should feel safe, supportive, and stable and under Rachael Crossman's leadership, this one simply doesn't. read more

We couldn't be happier with the preschool program at Legacy Traditional School Goodyear. The entire staff has been nothing but wonderful. Director Ms. Nicole, teachers Ms. Lorraine and Ms. Alicia, along with assistants Ms. Addy and Ms. Lima, truly go above and beyond for the children and families. Communication is always on point, and we love receiving updates about our child's day -- including successes and even the tougher moments. As parents sending our little one off for the first time, it brought us so much comfort knowing they genuinely cared and kept us informed every step of the way. As a special needs family, finding a school that understands your concerns and works with you can be overwhelming, but this team has been incredible. They listened, supported us, and partnered with us through every step of the process. We have seen so much growth, confidence, and success in our little one since starting here. This is our first year at a Legacy school. I have 2 older children that always attended a different school, I can see a major difference. I am truly impressed with the staff and most importantly with Mrs. Peralta, she has been excellent. She is caring, empathetic and has made my daughter feel important and heard. My daughter started a few weeks late and it seemed her transition was seemless. This is her first year in school and so far she loves to be a bull dog and again Mrs. Peralta has made it a joyful experience for her. Communication through Parent square with Mrs. Peralta is easy and she responds quickly and is always polite. There is always an officer on campus, an officer who is always friendly with the kids. The driveline is easy and they are very organized in getting your kid to you safely. The school is clean, Principal Crossman does a wonderful job with morning announcements and so far from what I've seen directing the children. I would recommend looking into Legacy Goodyear. read more

This school will allow your child to be targeted and bullied for being white. For weeks my child has been targeted because of the color of her skin, her teacher acknowledged that it was going and they have failed to do anything to stop it, last week two of the little monsters followed my child home and tried to jump her, the school called their parents but didn't do anything other than that and today instead of being racist they decided to start calling her fat. This school is a complete joke, they will have your kids writing papers on topics like why plastic straws should be banned. They allow men who dress as woman in the girls bath room, they hide that policy from their hand book, we literally had to ask the office for a copy of the policy to confirm. This school is unsafe and should be closed down. read more

As a teacher on campus for the last 5 years, I have been through a handful of admins and staff. Dr. Crossman, the new principal this year, is awesome. Ones we have had in the past were good, great even, but Dr. Crossman is here for the students. She is not trying to please the shareholders and run our school like a business. We are allowed to care for the students and what is best for them. This is one of the smaller Legacy campuses, and when you come in, you are part of the family. Because our campus is so small, most teachers know most students and are willing to jump in and support them, no matter the grade they are in. I have never felt the love of a campus like ours.
