Never paid $160 to play on a course that has greens that look like this...
    Ricky A.

It is pretty well known that in Florida summertime, courses have lower fees and are typically under construction in certain areas. To our surprise we were charged $160/person to play the Island course at Innisbrook and the course was in worse condition than most of the municipal local courses that I play around Tampa. Extremely disappointed with Innisbrook for charging so much to play this course the week before they were tearing it up. Tee boxes were in some cases sand boxes and a lot of front nine greens were super spotty. I have formerly been out here to Innisbrook several times and always liked it. I played Copperhead only a few weeks prior and thought that was great. Have to say I will probably never come back, as the value at Streamsong or Worldwoods is much much better than what we got at Innisbrook and for cheaper fees!

My husband and I recently visited Copperhead Course for the Valspar Championship and really loved our experience. Parking for events like this can always be a little tough, especially with the crowd that comes for tournaments, but the staff did an amazing job of organizing parking and shuttles to make sure people were able to quickly get on the grounds and enjoy their day. The course itself was beautiful. The grounds were very well taken care of, there were tons of seats available to watch players tee off, and the overall look of the course made us feel our tickets were well worth the price. Although this doesn't play into the course's responsibility, the tournament set up many great areas for family's to have fun, grab food and drinks, and just relax throughout the day. We really enjoyed our visit to Copperhead!

It was not and for the cost of the round of golf for me and a junior golfer $395 it was below satisfactory and not acceptable to an avid golfer. We played Cabot, Ardea and TPC TPA which were all in much better condition and less expensive than Innisbrook. My wife also booked a spa treatment which was cancelled last minute by the resort spa. They did offer substitute services but not a massage as booked and the spa experience was below acceptable for resort quality . My wife had a treatment at Wyndham Clearwater which was much better quality and experience. Innisbrook NOT worthy of the time or money. Go elsewhere...

I was pleased with how affordable the prices were. I definitely recommend getting the breakfast package if you can. The buffet is really good and it makes for a good start to the day before golf. We stayed in Canterbury, but there were many condos to choose from and they all had views of the course. The pool is nice, there are some activities for kids, but this is really meant for adults who want to relax and golf. The spa was first rate and Packards had really top notch food. Would come here again as a couples vacation, with friends or work trip.

I have to admit that some of the landscape improvements they've made to this golf course are better than any of the landscaping in my neighborhood and I live in a very nice neighborhood! At first, I was not a big fan of the restrictive geo-fencing that keeps us closer to the middle of the fairway (I don't tend to hit the ball in the middle of the fairway, ha ha) but I appreciate the owners wanting to improve the course and protect the bunker and grass near them. We are in a state of drought right now and the course is amazingly good shape given the head don't have full water. If you have never played here, I highly recommend that you try it. Some of the holes are easier than others and some of the other holes are very challenging so it's an interesting golf course. Thank you to the owners for making investments in our community. It is much appreciated.

I walked into the proshop and checked in and the staff member was very welcoming and told me that the tee box was clear, and I could go out once I loaded my cart. I told him I wanted to play with some other player so I would wait until somebody else checked in. That took another 30 minutes or so. I used this time wisely and got to slices of mushroom pizza at the restaurant and they were really good. I don't think I took a picture of them, sorry guys. After a pretty good lunch I went and hit some balls on the driving range with we pretty full, was able to find a couple of empty spots at the end of the row. Which was a good thing since one of the female golfer on the range was suffering from heat exhaustion and I told her to please sit in my cart to get some shade. She was fine after a few minutes of resting in the shade. The range is good and I was able to warm up and get ready for another awesome day of golf. After that I putted for a few and met another player who was about to go to the first tee box. Some pros and cons. Pros: Convenient location, easy access with plenty of parking. The staff here in the proshop were welcoming and had a great sense of humor, thank for that! The golf carts seem to be newer with GPS, nice ride! The practice areas here are in good shape, putting green with adequate room. Driving range wide enough to accommodate several golfers. You are not forced to play in a foursome. Some courses love to do this, which I'm ok with, but I'd rather see it as a choice and not a requirement. The bar area is nice to have a sandwich or a slice of pizza before or during your round as well as a beverage after your round. There is also a beverage cart and saw it several times throughout the round so there is no reason to go thirsty during the day. Cons: The chipping green to work on your short game with a sand trap to utilize as well is only for members. At the turn we hit a wall, and it took 3 hours to finish, it was so painful, lots of waiting on each hole, like 10 minutes if not longer sometime with no ranger to monitor pace of play.

I called the General Manager Andy Mollerud twice and left voicemails but he did not even have the courtesy to call me back. They were not even busy as our twosome was followed by a single and no one behind him for a few tee times at least. Anytime one of our group hasn't been able to make it last minute at other courses they never charge me. On top of that, before our round finished my playing partner was very mad that the fairways were soaked and even had large puddles despite not much rain. The greens were very sandy and patchy and your ball bounced around a lot. Needless to say we will not be returning. Poor customer service combined with bad course conditions = no more visits. Don't waste your money!

It has a well manicured 18 hole golf course, nine more holes (27 total) gym, two pools, tennis courts and all that. It also has a clubhouse which is the focus of my review. First off, this is the ugliest clubhouse I've ever entered. Think Little Rascals He Man Woman Hater's Club if you're that much into club houses. Ugly brown crown molding, ratty carpeting, ugly beige walls and exposed wood ceilings. The lobby looks like a mausoleum too. After the ceremony in a non cool room (idiots turned on the heat by mistake), we were sent into the reception area, which was the south room and adjoining spaces. At least they actually had on the AC in here. Open bar and passed canapés as one would expect. Some of these canapés including bacon wrapped scallops stand out because they were AWFUL!! I almost spit out the spinach pie; I should've known better when I saw them drizzled with heaven knows what. Scallops over cooked and lousy...at least there was an open bar. After two dark rum and colas, I even had enough of that; cheap lo-rent swill. Salad was simple mixed greens with a slice of cuke, some red onion and a couple of CHILLED cherry tomatoes. Well, there was the next sign that the kitchen doesn't know what it's doing. Tomatoes are supposed to be room temperature; period. Dressing stop said salad was nondescript. For entrees the Queen Bee had crab stuffed grouper and I had filet mignon. Filet was bland but had a halfway decent demiglaze with it. Queen Bee didn't care for her grouper. Everyone else at the table seemed more or less okay with it. To be fair, I didn't try the stuff. Both entrees were accompanied by overcooked asparagus and bland rice pilaf. Blech! I'm sure the wedding party paid good money for this stuff. If this is any sign of how their dining rooms are, then kindly include me OUT of this club. I'd rather graze on the grass from the 10th fairway. The desserts you see are provided by an outside bakery so nothing to say here. Not really much worthwhile or positive to say about having a function here, either. Have it at Chuck E. Cheese or a bowling alley instead! Eh!!
