We played DCG yesterday and as a Dunedin resident I was very disappointed in the total experience. Lunch wasn't very good but the service was excellent. The entire staff was great but the course wasn't worth $105. The tee boxes were rough and many of the greens were pitted and very slow. I was hoping that after all the tax dollars residents contributed to renovate the course, it would have been more playable. Disappointing for sure. It will be awhile before I play this course again. The atmosphere was wonderful and the layout of the course is fantastic. I wish more care was taken in maintaining the course. read more

I had not played Dunedin in a few years but had to get on after the massive renovation. The course certainly did not disappoint! The greens are immaculate - course condition was pristine. The pace of play was very slow and even with a 1:15 tee time we came up the 18th fairway in the dark as groups were stacked up in front of us. Also, the course is trying to be premiere but hadn't installed GPS on the carts. All told, this course is in amazing shape and if tee times are properly spaced it will be an incredible golfing experience. read more

I have played this coarse for years, the renovation took a year and what you have is marginally better and double the price! Greens are better but Marshall was a jerk ( we played in 4:20 mins) was on us repeatedly and he was dressed like a bum! Food and beverage has an auto 20% and asking for tip on top! Good course with great history. Friendly staff in pro shop and clubhouse. Two nines differ in look and feel with front nine fairways lined with large mature trees and a parkland feel. Back nine a little more open and not quite as well manicured. City evaluating plan to take course back to original Donald Ross design. I hope they succeed! Good renovation to a Ross course. They didn't trick it up or do anything stupid. Waaaaaay overpriced (peak is $130 for prime time!). This is a small town muni! What a great view for a wedding. The only things that kept this from being a 5 star rating are as follows. 1. Outdoor wedding with the sun beating down on half the guest is brutal. 2. Tables out into the entry way meant we were constantly bumped by other guest ans staff alike as well as not being able to see the tv displays or festivities. 3. Dinner wasn't served till 9:00 pm and it was served family stylish. This was a bad idea and too late for most to eat. 4. Egg rolls and the deviled eggs apps were very bland. Other than that it was a good spot for a wedding that would have less than 180 people. read more

We had a wedding reception for our daughter Gina here at the clubhouse in the main dining area on Saturday. We had 100 guests and a DJ. The room was spacious and was perfect for our group. We chose to have a three entree buffet and the food was delicious. The servers were helpful and friendly. The entire event was well run and we had a very special and memorable experience. Chuck was so professional and kind with the planning. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful setting for a wedding reception. It was perfect! The views of the golf course were stunning. The wedding pictures from the photographer are already coming in and we are truly impressed with the beauty of the high oak trees. read more

Disappointed is how I would sum up my visit to Dunedid. However, it isn't necessarily as bad as it seems. Currently the clubhouse is undergoing a renovation, so that created a bit of a mess. Currently the pro shop is being operated out of a rental trailer. The attendant in the shop was nice, however that was about all the service to speak about. The cart attendants were essentially college kids with no interest in loading a bag, or providing any direction on where the 1st tee box was. Not the end of the world, but not a great look either. The course was unfortunately not in great shape either. i started on the back 9, and was warned that it was "a little wet" after recent rains. Drainage issues around the lake lead to a couple of messy fairways and approach shots. Two of the par 5s on the back 9 were shortened to par 3s due to the wet conditions. Makeshift tee boxes in the middle of the fairway were in place. It needs some work to return to prominence, so I would be willing to give it another shot down the road, but in a nutshell Dunedin underwhelmed and disappointed. read more

It was sad to hear that the county took over and made it just a driving range and it does not have the course any more cause I played the course a lot in high school, but it is still a good place to practice. I am not a golfer, but I do enjoy spending time at the clubhouse, in my opinion DCC is Dunedin's hidden gem. There is always a warm welcome from all the staff, great service and good food and drinks. The out door patio is relaxing and a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner. Jill M. read more

A very nice golf course in good condition considering public and amount of play. This place has amazing history with pga tour events played in the past and very cool layout. You can see the golf Superintendant, grounds crew, clubhouse crew take pride in the course. Nice clubhouse and restaurant. If you haven't played golf at Dunedin you need to do so. The layout is a fantastic Donald Ross design and the conditions are always top notch at Dunedin as the tee boxes, fairways and greens are always well manicured. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a lot of history involved with the golf course and clubhouse. The clubhouse features a grill area with a simple food selection, as well as an outdoor patio that overlooks the 13th green. The first four holes are pretty tough and after that it's somewhat smooth sailing. It's a good layout with a few risk/reward holes. The greens are in great shape most of the time and can roll extremely fast during peak season. The golf carts are some of the better ones in the area and the pro shop has a large selection of apparel and hats. The food is good and they sometimes have a grill right by the 10th tee so you are able to grab a burger or hot dog while you're making the turn. Dunedin is one my favorite courses in the area and I take all of my friends and family here when they come to visit because of the great layout and fabulous course conditions. read more

DGC gets the most out of the Donald Ross design and name. Varied tee shots and unique green complexes with some tremendous bunkering. Does not drain well and is overgrown. Greens are well kept. The practice area is poor. read more

Didn't golf. Send for dinner Friday night. We sat at the bar. Although I gave them 4 stars, I wish I could rate service separately. I would give them a 2. We were the only ones at the bar. It was dirty. We were trying to clean it with the bar napkins that the bar tender gave us. She watched us do this and still didn't clean the bar. Her overall service was terrible. It was impossible to get her attention because she stayed toward the back of the bar and never looked at her customers. Food was excellent and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely go back but if I see this same woman is working I will get a table. read more

Went here with a ladies group for a holiday dinner and to watch the golf cart parade (which was rained out). It was a Friday and "Fish Fry" night. Should have ordered the fish. I was in the mood for steak so I ordered the Filet medium rare. It came out VERY rare and cold, so I sent it back. By the time it came back out the rest of my party were all almost finished and we had to get going to see the parade so I told the waitress to cancel my order. Well of course a half minute later she brings it to me. Well, the steak was HALF the size of the first one and she asked if I'd like to take it home. I said no. It was so pathetically small. I mean maybe 3 oz? Another friend of mine ordered a sirloin steak and hers was raw as well. She got her second order and it was just as raw as the first one, so we ended up leaving to go somewhere to eat after we learned that the parade was canceled, which is why we were on a time crunch anyway. I have no desire to go back. Learn how to cook a steak! It's a basic! read more

This is a nice older country club just off alternate 19. The grounds are very nice, with mature landscaping. A neighborhood of nice homes adjoins the course. The course used to host major tournaments years ago, but is mainly used by members today. read more

This is a great Track, and no easy course. The length is there, and the greens are undulating, making it a challenging course to make par on. Great layout, hit every club in your bag, and great putting surfaces. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely humiliated and insulted. Nowhere, when you book or check in, is there a dress code posted either online or in the pro shop. I am wearing a golf skirt, golf shoes, and matching tank when a man comes out and tells me I am not allowed to play. He clearly states that women don't need a collar but have to have sleeves without one. He proceeds to humiliate me in front of the foursome playing behind us by offering to sell us a shirt. Meanwhile, he says I can drive the golf cart in my current attire but cannot play. I have never experience this kind of sexist discrimination in my life. We will never be playing here again. They did refund my round since my husband had already paid for both of us. I even called to ask where the policy could be found after poking my head around in the pro shop to see if it was posted in there, and he told me it's not posted anywhere. It was his sole discretion to humiliate me. Women, steer clear. Not a female friendly course, even in proper attire. I was singled out because I am female. This is disgusting. read more

One of the nicest courses in Pinellas county. Very open fairways, but the greens are well guarded and take a fair amount of skill to land on. Being a Donald Ross course that's fairly priced I would recommend playing here to anyone. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the people that play here are very kind. Overall, nice Donald Ross designed course - but, Pro Shop NOT friendly and certainly not customer focused. Arrived 45 minutes ahead of tee time - NO ONE on course. Pro Shop guy wanted to demonstrate "the power of his position" and made our foursome wait the 45 minutes- with no tee times booked in front of us. Not a single golfer went out while we waited. With so many golf choices in the area - Dunedin Golf Club should really make sure they only allow customer focus staff to interact with their customers. read more

I played the course this weekend and was impressed. For $29 this course has some of the nicest greens and fairways I've seen.

I have played Dunedin CC twice this winter, and I have not been impressed. I like the golf course, but I am not impressed with the management. My most recent trip on 3/19/17 I signed up for a tee time through Paradise.com. I was a single and was paired with 3 other golfers. When arriving at the 1st tee, the starter said we would be the next group after 2 five-somes. On a Sunday afternoon they allowed 2 five-somes hold up play? The front nine took 2.5 hours; we waited on every shot on every hole! The starter said that they have to give preference to members. Fortunately, they only played nine holes, but the damage was done. And, by the way, the tee boxes were terrible, and the fairways were not that much better read more
