They keep ridiculous hours for shots as it is and they just decide they're going to offer them when they feel like it without giving any advanced notice except for a small note they post when they feel like it, on a door frame in the office that no one reads. They could do everyone a favor and join the 21st century by sending out mass text messages like every other doctors office on the planet. There are certain days/times when you also have to wait a long time for a shot that takes about 30 seconds to administer. Again this isn't an insult against anyone who works there, it is a frustration with the management or whoever is in charge of their technology and outreach department.

Dr. Thomas is very personable and easy to talk to. He obviously keeps good notes as he remembered my hesitance to undergo certain procedures and my extensive list of allergies from when I saw him three or four years ago. This time around I was much more receptive to whatever treatment needed to take place as my symptoms have become more bothersome. He said he wanted to have me wear a monitor for 14 days and then make a treatment plan based on the results. Boy, has technology changed from the last heartmonitor that I wore. Back in the day it was like wearing a Walk Man with wire leads to your chest (ok I'm dating myself with the Walk Man description). The monitor I wore for 14 days was more the size of a band aid with a 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch plastic monitor. I was given a postage paid box to return the device in at the end of the monitoring period. Three days after returning it by mail to the monitor company I got a cheerful call from Dr. Thomas. The good news was he didn't see a need at this time for a pacemaker. He explained my options and told me to talk it over with my husband. He put me at ease that the next step didn't need to occur right away, in fact if it was scheduled that day it wouldn't be done for several months. Which sounds like a small thing but made a world of difference once the numbness wore off. All in all it was a great experience. I left the office laughing and smiling. 10/10 highly recommend. It took a while to figure out what had changed so we patiently kept appointments while trying to identify our dissatisfaction with this business. First, the communication and ability of the front office staff deserves a one star. The staff has a snarky customer communication on even the easiest aspect of their job, namely sign in and scheduling appointments upon completion of the current visit. Additionally with no notice on one visit we were presented a bill that they wanted paid at the time. This was a first for us so my husband inquired what the bill was for. Neither front office person could tell us what the invoice was for. They did agree to let us mail a payment since we had no advance notice there would be a charge. As for the visit with the audiologist we began realizing the visits were used more for teaching future audiologists. When we first got started with Heuser Hearing we didn't realize they were a teaching Institute. The price doesn't reflect a savings because this.
