It's been a week and Dr. Smith will not return my questions on their portal site. They have had a…read morelady call on the phone with results and then she can not answer basic questions asked back to her. I did this a could of times with her on telephone calls. I finally got tired of the back and forth and asked that she have the Dr just respond to my question in the portal. If any of the lab/X-ray/Ultrasound results do not fall into their "box" they don't bother to make referrals or suggestions as to what to do going forward. This shows a total lack of respect for patient concerns.

They make calls on Fridays when their office is closed and while I'm at work, and you can't return the call until Monday. However, they do not answer the phone Monday-Thursday either when they are open. You have to leave a voicemail using their incredibly disorganized auto attendant. There is no option to leave a message with a question or returning a call, only to leave a message about a prescription refill. The people leaving voicemails don't give an extension number so that's not an option. It tells you someone will return the call within 48 hours, but that's not true ime. I've been calling for a week to return the call about my test results and discuss the meds the doctor suggested because I've been in a miserable flare up for 15 days and have a knee swollen that doesn't want to bend rn, and no one is returning the calls or answering the phone.

I wanted Dr Carter to just remove the cam fai part and stay out of the hip but he said he needed to get into the joint. I asked him if there was a chance this could make my hip worse and he said no that the surgery should not make my hip worse. On the day of the surgery I told Dr Carter that my hip had been feeling well. After the surgery he told my girlfriend that I would need a hip replacement. Dr Carter did not see me after the surgery and I was not able to see him until about 3 months after the surgery. There was a problem with my appointment after the surgery. When I went to the office there was no one there who could take my stitches out so I removed the stitches myself. Dr Carter never told me that there was a chance the surgery could make my hip worse. He did say that results were not as good at my age but that's it. Also Dr Carter did not require me to get an arthogram of my hip. I only got a regular MRI. I have had about 4 surgeries on my other hip and all the surgeons saw me after surgery and then about 3 days later. And all previous surgeries required a hip arthogram. Also the other surgeries were all good results for my hip. I have more pain and disability with my hip now than before the surgery. This was my first surgery on this other hip. I made a very bad decision to get surgery from Dr Carter and wish I had not. Now I will need a hip replacement because of this surgery. I had no idea this was possible and am quite unhappy about it. I do not recommend Dr Carter.

Dr. Thomas is very personable and easy to talk to. He obviously keeps good notes as he remembered my hesitance to undergo certain procedures and my extensive list of allergies from when I saw him three or four years ago. This time around I was much more receptive to whatever treatment needed to take place as my symptoms have become more bothersome. He said he wanted to have me wear a monitor for 14 days and then make a treatment plan based on the results. Boy, has technology changed from the last heartmonitor that I wore. Back in the day it was like wearing a Walk Man with wire leads to your chest (ok I'm dating myself with the Walk Man description). The monitor I wore for 14 days was more the size of a band aid with a 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch plastic monitor. I was given a postage paid box to return the device in at the end of the monitoring period. Three days after returning it by mail to the monitor company I got a cheerful call from Dr. Thomas. The good news was he didn't see a need at this time for a pacemaker. He explained my options and told me to talk it over with my husband. He put me at ease that the next step didn't need to occur right away, in fact if it was scheduled that day it wouldn't be done for several months. I saw Lauren Lazarus for my first assessment and when I tell you it was a game changer, I mean it. This was the first time I felt like I'd been truly heard by a medical professional and she made me feel like I had hope and wasn't just someone looking for drugs. I wish insurance would cover it, but if you have the ability to finance it, I highly recommend going to The Couch. I've done both the in-person and Telehealth and both options were great. The rest of the office staff is very friendly, in regards to scheduling or talking to another nurse regarding medication. As a tip, they usually don't answer the phone right away but they're fairly quick with responding to messages.

This year I was prescribed a new medication and because of how hard it was to get into contact, and to schedule an appointment I would go one month with medication and then one or two months without it. Also making an appointment is very hard. It typically takes me about a week to even reach them or have them call me back. They also won't refill your prescriptions if you need to have a appointment but they do not call you or communicate to you that you need to have an appointment. I have also found the front desk people to be quite rude. However, there's been a new girl who's been answering the phone who has been lovely.
