Copyland was awesome! I needed a 300+ document printed on 24 lb sheet for same day process. Based on review on yelp and one's recommendation to use this instead of FedEx/Kinko's was extremely helpful in my decision to use Copyland instead. At 11 a.m., I sent them an email with my attached pdf file that needed to be printed. It was ready for pick up by 3 p.m.! (In other words, I didn't have to download it onto any disk or flash drive and drive it to a copy center for copy). In my email, I explained that I needed it on 24lb sheet paper. They were professional, a family run business, fast, and very convenient! They were great! The document cost was only $28.32 for a 327 pgs.! I ordered a couple of map files to be printed out. They were without a doubt of a great quality. I do not think anyone could question the great job they did. My only minor issue would be that I asked for a quote for the project and they didn't give it until I sent them the files. I was fine with that, but instead of giving me a quote they instead just told me they had printed the files and I now owed them the price for having it printed on 12X18 100lb gloss paper. I really only wanted this on 11x17 basic paper since it was for a playtest and I was going to be writing all over it and having to print it several times with different changes. Not sure if that made it more expensive printing it on a bigger size and 100lb gloss paper but definitely made it cost prohibitive to keep printing more copies for testing purposes. read more

Every year around the Christmas holidays, we write up a holiday newsletter, and send them out to our friends and family. Printing them out on our printer can be very costly. We looked into having a copy shop such as Kinko's to make our copies. We looked many other print/copy businesses in the area, but we always come back here. Not only because we like to support the famiy-owned local businesses, we also found the owners and the staff to be very friendly, and our jobs were completed as committed. I brought an image in for printing today. It's an art Nouveau style design, digitally drawn in JPEG form, but I left the store without getting any service. I'm giving this store one star for following reasons. 1. The store owner makes offensive, rude, and unnecessary remarks on me. He said, and I quote." If you play more on the computer than your iphone, you would know ..." " this design would take me five mins to draw. And you are wasting my time." I think this is completely unprofessional. It's ok to be ignorant, since not everyone is an artist, but if you are ignorant, you should keep your mouth shut instead of making stupid and unprofessional comments. 2. The owner refused service to me. He said, and I quote," I'm spending time changing image format for you, and I only make 1 dollar for printing this. I have rent to pay. If everyone is like you, I'm not gonna make money." Thus, I had to leave the store without printing anything. Based on these two reasons, I think this store should have one star. And I have seriously doubt on how they conduct their business. Later today, I went to Fedex. Although, the service I need today will only make $1 for Fedex, but the store staff still took the time to show me different options and explain how to use self-service. I think Copyland should take a class from Fedex. Being polite and professional to your customer at all time is how you earn continued business. I will have future need for more costly jobs, but do you even have to guess, where I'm going? Enough being said, I hope yelpers find my review helpful. Btw, the store owner said himself, and I quote" you should go to FedEx, they have more up-to-date machines." So,uh... Glad you realize that Fedex is a superior store. read more

I was reffered to this shop by one of my girlfirends. The entire staff is amazing. I needed 10 shirts printed for a bachlorette party this following weekend. They spent two days helping me re-desgin the graphic for the tanks/tess and I was so impressed with the final results. I wanted only one 16x20 color print, on paper with just a brown image and some text. No bleed areas or anything fancy, just a straight single color print job. I sent them the artwork Oct 2nd, they said they couldnt get to it the next day because their graphics person was out for the day (at 12:00 noon). The next day comes (10/3), and the graphics person gets back to me saying that the image is coming out black and not brown and that I need to request for a CMYK file for it to work. I go back to the designer of the image and ask for that file, and they send it to me within a few hours. I forward that back to the graphics person at copyland at 2:00pm 10/3 but the graphics person had left for the day. I get an email from them this morning (10/4) saying that the image is still coming out black and they dont know why and they give me an option to look at it and buy it if I want....Whatever, No thanks! This easy one color print job has taken 3 days and I didnt get anything out of it. The moment I got that last email from copyland, I sent off the same original file and artwork and request to another printer and told them about the brown printing black problem (their pricing is $10 more) and within the hour of sending this new printer the file, they call me back and say that it is printing out brown and will be ready by the end of the day. read more

I had a 11x17 colored poster that needed printing with bleed. I went to FEDEX and they said that they couldn't do what I was requesting plus the next biggest size would be $12 to print! I did some research and saw that Copyland was a reasonable distance from me and that they have pretty good reviews so I thought I might try them. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and picked up my poster the next day. It came in a clear plastic sheet and the edges were already cut, which was great since every thing I cut comes out crooked using an exacto knife. I'd definitely come back here. read more

I called Copyland to see if I can get some "consulting" business cards done quickly. I sent over a PDF file and voila, the next day, it was done. 24 hours. What more could you ask for? This is probably not something they usually do, but they understood my needs and took care of it. Do NOT go to this place, completely inefficient and incapable team. I had a super urgent project and was referred to them by a friend who had driven past it, so I reached out and asked for a quote on a super urgent and simple project. Took more than 24 hours to respond to respond "we can't quote this" (and we're talking about an 11x17 print here.. not rocket science). Made me waste my time and a full day of work. I get all of my personal and business printing done here. I'm amazed by the quality, friendly service, and pricing! No other copy shop provides this level of quality and service at such affordable pricing. I've had greeting cards, business cards, and bulk paper printing done here. Everything has been completed on time or earlier. One night, they were about to close up and I had a printing emergency - they helped me even though it was closing time! Copyland is a family business and has been in Foster City for many years. The owners and staff take pride in doing the job promptly and correctly. I recently had a urgent project to make copies, tab and bind a total of over 900 pages, (3 x 300-pages) of legal stuff. It went without a hitch. Their rates are more than fair, and they are accommodating to your needs. Amazing service and pricing that's a fraction of FedEx/UPS self print (with better quality) made me a repeat customer. But my last visit the couple who runs the shop went WAY above and beyond - the kind of customer service that disappeared in the 1950s. When I sent a faulty email link for a last second print job and showed up at closing time, the couple who runs the shop stayed two hours after close helping me finalize my project, even entertaining my son while we were there... and this was for a $100 job! I can't even imagine a corporate employee doing something like this. I also wrote this review on the other list - not sure they they have two. But anyways, Copyland is not fancy and doesn't seem like much, but the pricing and the end product is far better than Kinkos. It's a family run business that has been around Foster City for years. They have printed large posters, t-shirts, color copies, and business cards for me and would recommend it to anyone. I had to get a PDF course reader printed and bound for a course my daughter was taking over the summer, and Kinko's wanted about $37 to just print and bind it. I saw a review on Yelp for Copyland, so decided to contact them and it was as easy as all the reviews said. I emailed them the PDF, and within a couple of hours they had not just printed it but added a title page and extra pages to make sure the TOC was separated from the rest of the document (without even being asked). And they then added a sturdy cover with a cut-out for the title so that it almost looked like an actual textbook, for about half the price that Kinko's wanted. They definitely went the extra mile, and I really appreciated it. These people are very accommodating and easy to work with, and I will never go to Kinko's again after working with them. read more

A great job on scanning a pile of documents I had to send out. They even emailed me the scanned file so I could send it out before I could get to their office to pay. they knew I was in a rush and emailed me with the file when my phone was busy due to my being on a call. Great service! read more
