UPS guarantees next day delivery or your money back. We came to this location to mail perishable items for next day delivery right before they closed. Their associate failed to notify us that the overnight packages were already picked up and that our package would not arrive the next day. We were unaware of this so we proceeded to mail our package. Upon going to get a refund (thinking it got sent out on the day we dropped the package off), she gaslit me. She says she knows we were told it wouldn't get sent out that evening. She knows her employees would 100% tell us it wouldn't be shipped out that night and that they neverrrr make mistakes. We live down the street, coming the next day for the next overnight shipment to be picked up is not a big deal. If we were notified our perishable items would not be sent out the day we dropped off, why wouldn't we pick that option to send out items that need to be kept cool? She was rude in handling the situation. I'm not surprised because most of her employees are rude. Luckily there is a USPS and a FedEx right down the street. The FedEx has MUCH better customer service and value. read more

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered to my house in Pacifica, unfortunately it needed a signature and nobody would be home. So I paid the extra $8 so I could pick it up at a location near my work. I got the email that it was ready for pickup AT 10:38 AM, when I went to pick it up AT 1:28 PM, they couldn't find it. I called customer service, who said said to come back the next day to see if they found it. I checked my tracking today (the next day) online, and it said it was getting sent back to the sender because the receiver refused it. I called them, they said to call customer service. When I called customer service, THE STORE REFUSED MY PACKAGE. When we moved to Foster City we decided to rent a box at this location. We are SO glad we did. We have piece of mind that our packages our safe and that they never go missing. This staff always greets us by name soon as we walk in even when they are assisting other customers. They go above and beyond for customer service. They always ask if they can help take packages out to our car when we have multiple trips worth. Sometimes we need to use their computer to print. It's always fast and prompt. If you need to solve your stolen package issue at your home we would HIGHLY recommend renting a box here. AND/OR great place to meet your office needs. The ridiculous customer service I just experienced from a gentleman at this location is comical. Let me set the scene. It's raining outside. I'm walking through the plaza from the Dignity Health end toward the UPS store. I'm carrying items to be mailed and I'm also holding an empty Starbucks cup and a napkin. Before entering the front door, I look for a trashcan, but don't see one on my way in or outside their front door. I walk into the store and spot a trashcan so I throw away my cup and napkin. As I approach the counter I am not greeted, but am harshly asked if I just threw away my cup in their trashcan to which I confirm that I did. I'm further questioned about if the cup had liquid in it or not to which I said it was empty. I'm then told that I am not allowed to throw my cup in their trashcan as no food or drinks are allowed in the store. I reply with an apology explaining I had no idea, and go on to suggest that maybe a sign could be displayed where the trashcan is located (right now the trashcan just says "THANK YOU") so that customers are aware that they should not throw away any food or drinks in their trashcan. The immature and rude response I received was "we usually catch people before it happens." Rather than letting it go and understanding it was a completely honest mistake, he asked how I didn't see the 'no food and drinks' sign posted outside and asked AGAIN if the cup was empty. He was clearly so bothered that I asked if he wanted me to retrieve the empty cup from the trashcan to which he said no. I was so puzzled by this interaction, his tone and the way he was talking to me as if he was scolding a child that I nearly walked out. At the end I said thank you but he turned around to show his back to me. Really?! read more

This is my experience today at this store. The Notary manager lady seems very efficient and quick at her job unfortunately she doesn't have the skills to listen to a customer. I needed notary service today she decided that since the page I brought for her to sign didnot have notary language she was going to cross it out with a black marker and fill a separate page of her own. Yes, I'm requesting notary service but that doesn't make you UPS owner of my document. When I try telling the lady that I was sure they would reject the form now she just said "No, they won't" I said that because the form instructions were clear that the second page is what needed to be stamped but apparently notary lady knows better than anyone. Being efficient and quick it's great but unless you are God you don't know everything! Please try to sometimes listen to your customers. Now I had reprint all documents and go to another notary. **** if my document is not rejected I will remove this review. I will know by the end of the week**** read more

DO NOT GET LIVESCAN FINGERPRINTS HERE! THEY ARE A SCAM! Had fingerprints taken for a new job, but they were rejected due to poor quality. They were done incorrectly--not just once, but twice! I have to mail a lot of things and I get a lot of packages for my work with the state. I've been worried about shipping, especially when it can be a major pain in the rear end. Also, it is true that shipping isn't exactly an easy industry but regardless of that, this staff greets you with a smile and offers you the best services for your own needs....not their bottom line. I went to this ups location rushing due to them about to close, I needed to print out a label but didn't realize it was for a different ups location. That's when I was dealt with the workers Nikki and Mayra. They were super welcoming and didn't hesitate to help me! They were able to reprint a new label for me and also took the liberty of packaging up my package. Keep in mind they were about to close. The store is sometimes really busy, with several people needing attention simultaneously. It's a feat to be able to serve so many customers efficiently while not losing out on accuracy. This particular UPS Store is near my house. I use it to return Amazon products. Sometimes I'll send a large package or make copies of some documents. This is a good store for all of the above tasks. What it's not good at is taking passport photos. The lighting was bad, and as a result, my forehead was shiny from the reflection of the light. That was $20 down the drain. The next day I had my passport photos taken at a photo studio for slightly less and a much better quality. read more

Been going here for 3 years to mail off boxes to my in-laws. The customer service is great! It's usually quick but if it's slow it's only cause he is helping out slow customers. Also, the music is great. Some people forget that the store itself doesn't deliver their packages but actually the delivery trucks. So when your mailing out your packages, be smart please. Thank god I'm not the only one who had to deal with the rude Indian guy at this store. I went in wanting to print one page of prepaid shipping label, and I was told that I could use their computer to sign into my email and print it out. However, when I saw the sign that says renting the computer costs $2 for a minimum of 5 minutes, and printing 1 sheet of b/w costs $0.29 (which is priced reasonable). Adding them up would COST me $2.29 to print ONE SHEET of paper. So I backed out and asked (very nicely) whether I can send my document to their email account and have them print it for me. Here comes the guy saying that they would have to sign into their email to print my document for me, the $2 is the labor fee for them to go through all the big big trouble to sign into their email during normal business hour, and print one sheet of paper for a customer. I mean, I totally understand where the guy's coming from, and rules are rules, but the way he addressed it just MADE ME FEEL HORRIBLE. I wouldn't step into the store ever again even if it's the end of the world and they are the only shelter I can find. read more

My experience with this establishment is the worst. 1st, i called them before drving to UPS if i can pick up a package using just a photo of my driver's license. coz i dont have my DL with me that day, (it was in a Car Dealership). the person i talked to over the phone told me "Yes, You can Pick It Up) So i drove there, showed my Pic of my DL and the lady i talked to earlier was about to give me the package, Here comes this guy (i dont know his name but he looked Indian to me) intervened and acted like the big boss asking for my ID. so i explained him the conversation between me and his employee over the phone. he said "I can't Issue that to you coz i need your ID" and i told him, "but i called earlier asked you guys if i can pick it up with a photo of my ID and you guys said yes" he replied with, "its our policy to ask for the real ID" and I replied with "Then you guys should not give information against your policy coz i drove here to pick it up and now you're telling me i cant have it coz i cant use the Photo of my ID that you guys told me earlier over the phone that i can totally use it" This Guy is so Rude, turning his back at me while i was having conversation with him. He is loud that seemed like he is giving me a sign to get the fuck off. whoever this guy is, you are in a wrong business, you are in a customer service business and yet your attitute is way beyond unacceptable. You need to get your policy and information synced coz if you really are the Manager of that place, You sucked in so many aspects. might as well give your resignation immediately and that is if you aren't fired yet coz i wont be surprise if i am not the only person who experienced your worst customer service. read more

I think I was scammed this morning at the store. I went in to print out a delivery slip for my amazon return. A rude lady at the store, told me that there was a "surcharge" of 2 dollars to even use the printer. When I asked her if this was a new policy she told me it was there for ever. That was not really true, because I have printed at the store many times and never been "surcharged" :) LOL. A rude UPS Store location with no sense for customer service. I just needed to drop a couple of boxes that were prepaid. I didn't need any receipt but I walked in at exactly 6:30 when they closed. An older, taller man with gray hair said we're closed. I was going to tell him I just wanted to leave the boxes much like leaving them in a drop box since I didn't need any paperwork but it would better for me so I wouldn't have to carry them around till tomorrow. I didn't get the first word out of my mouth when he cuts me off with, "did you hear me, I said we're closed!" rudely. There's other UPS stores around. I'll drop packages at another one. I know they make a little bit off of each drop and I think I'll give another store the business. read more

This UPS store is probably one of the easiest to get in and out of. The staff is really friendly and get your items quickly. I typically go here whenever my item is sent here, versus leaving it in front of my apartment complex unguarded. I don't mind picking my item up because hey: 1. its safer to do so 2. how fast the staff give you your item. They quickly look at your driver's license and then snag your item for you. The store is clean and I have never done any business other than picking up my packages, while I have heard staff helping other customers, they appear to be calm and helpful and never rush anyone. read more

What a horrible store, I'd give them 0 even negative if I could! JOSE was extremely rude and unprofessional!! My elderly parents came in for consulate-required photos, they handed them the detailed requirement as well as sample images given by the consulate, but the printed photos still didn't meet the requirement. They tried to ask them if they could make the photos fit the requirement, they said it's all computer generated and there's nothing they could do. Their computer system is clearly outdated. Then my parents decided not to take the photos as they're completely useless, then JOSE said: "DON'T COME HERE NEXT TIME EXPECTING FREE THINGS!". WHAT??!! They did not take a single photo with them, I don't know why he would say something like that when he clearly provided neither the service nor the product they asked for! It honestly sounded racism to me because my parents were Asians. It's a shame that UPS has such a horribly rude person in your store. #####This is to respond to the owner's response: I understand your system goes through a process and auto-generates the photos, however, I hope you also understand that my parents came in with the requirements and sample images given by the consulate. They showed those to your employees before the photos were taken, and one of the requirements (face has to be at least 70-80% of the photo) just wasn't met. There are clearly some kind of discrepancies, and no one knew or explained why, all we knew was that the photos didn't meet what the consulate asked of us, so I hope you understand why my parents couldn't just take those photos. But this is not the point of my complaint, my complaint is what JOSE did afterwards, he yelled on the faces of two 70+ old elderly, "DON'T COME HERE NEXT TIME EXPECTING FREE THINGS!". I was on the speaker phone with my parents, we were shocked. I asked him what he said, and he said the exact same sentence to my parents, AGAIN. My parents did not take a single thing from your store, they have never been humiliated like that, and were extremely upset because of Jose's unbelievable rudeness. This is no way to treat your community member, especially two seniors. Just to be clear, the guy who was actually doing the photo work was nice and polite.
