The only reason he took us was because we continually asked why she couldn't sit in the front seat and how it was discriminatory. This was a very hot day and after a block my spouse began to feel uncomfortable as the man turned off the ac because she was wearing no bra. Most of the cabbies make females feel uncomfortable if not unwelcome in the cab compared to if you were a man.. and don't get me started on the state of most cabs and the smell inside them.

Hello, This is Dunya…read moreIsmail, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a very concerning experience I had with one of your drivers yesterday. I believe the driver's name was Gurnaj Sidhu. I called for assistance to have my vehicle jump-started. This is a service I have used before, as I was in the process of selling my vehicle and do not know how to safely jump-start it myself. When the driver arrived, he connected the jumper cables incorrectly. As soon as he attempted to start the vehicle, my car began sparking and produced a significant amount of smoke. Both I and the potential buyer who was present immediately noticed what had happened. We approached the driver to check the connections and it became clear that the cables had been attached the wrong way. The buyer informed the driver that the cables had been connected incorrectly. The driver then called his father and stated that the cables were not working, which was inaccurate. Both the buyer and I witnessed the sparks and smoke coming from the vehicle as a result of the incorrect connection. The driver later brought another taxi driver to assist. They attempted to jump-start the vehicle again, but it did not work. At that point, we believed that the fuses or other electrical components had likely been damaged due to the initial mistake. When I expressed my concerns and told the driver that he should not have attempted the procedure if he was not familiar with how to do it properly, he became extremely aggressive. He began yelling at me, telling me to "shut up," and repeatedly moved very close to my face in an intimidating manner. I felt threatened and uncomfortable by his behavior. What is most disappointing is that at no point did the driver apologize for the damage or take responsibility for what occurred. Instead, he continued to raise his voice and argue with me. As a result of this incident, my vehicle is no longer functioning. I would like to speak with a manager as soon as possible regarding this matter. I have a witness who observed the entire incident, including the incorrect cable connection, the smoke coming from the vehicle, and the driver's behavior toward me. Additionally, the second driver who attended the scene also acknowledged that the situation was not handled appropriately. This entire situation has been extremely upsetting and unacceptable. Not only was my vehicle potentially damaged due to the driver's negligence, but I was also subjected to aggressive and threatening behavior when I attempted to address the issue. As a customer, I should never have to experience damage to my property, be yelled at, or feel intimidated by an employee who made a mistake. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic respect shown during this incident is deeply concerning. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately and that I be contacted by a manager to discuss a resolution. If this issue is not addressed appropriately and in a timely manner, I will have no choice but to pursue further action, including contacting the police regarding the threatening behavior and exploring other available avenues to recover the costs associated with the damage to my vehicle. Taxis leaving YVR are under flat rates for different zones. One time the driver ran the meter and tried to charge me meter rate, which was higher than flat rate. Second time the driver charged me an inflated flat rate and told me rates increased last month and I was in a different price zone. Always take a photo of the fare map and show them. Incredibly dishonest! If they are ripping locals off, imagine how they treat tourists.

There was a lineup that I needed to take what came to my turn. The driver kept hitting the brake pedal at almost every signal regardless red or green! He pulled the window and started arguing with someone on another car I guess he didn't like. He didn't make a conversation but kept asking me rather rude questions and giving me equally rude comments. He asked me my destination more than a couple of times, never checked GPS, pretended he knew where he's going but needed to wait for me to give the direction. When I asked to pay by credit card, he insisted I pay in cash because he was simply too busy to deal with the credit card transaction (seriously how much more time does that take?). I paid by card, though, telling him either cash without tip or credit card with tip. But I believe he gave me different amount first than the actual total when he said how much it was. Also, he didn't pick up nor help bringing in/out of my luggage, didn't even bother to get off the car to open the trunk. It' just so disrespectful and uncomfortable I wish I didn't have to give him any tips and I hope I won't have to encounter him ever again. I'm not sure if this review applies to the other drivers who work for Coquitlam Taxi but I don't think it is a coincidence that they all bad reviews.

The booking process is easy, the manager Howie is responsive and easy to work with. The drivers are always on time and courteous. On our most recent trip, there was a terrible accident on highway 99 which delayed us 7 hrs! We had multiple families traveling on together in a large van, half children under the age of 8. The kids were going stir crazy and so were the parents. The person that was not frazzled at all was our driver Johan. He was with us the whole way, taking us to dinner in Squamish, driving us around town looking for a place to entertain the kids and wait for the roads to reopen. We ended up having to hang out at a Walmart for several hours. By the time we got to Whistler was about midnight, on a 5p planned arrival. Johan never stopped being courteous, kind, and friendly. I can't imagine how tired and frustrating the ordeal must have been for him, yet he never let it showed and it made the journey so much more pleasant despite the circumstances. We've never had a bad experience with Excel.
