Food/Beverage: 43/50 I forget the name of what we ordered but you can tell by the picture that it was superb. A lot more than a fast food style breakfast like IHOP, Denys or Dedutch, and less than an absolute gourmet. I would 100% come back here again because of the food alone. Went here this afternoon and got the burrito crepe, which was amazing. Asked for crispy hash browns and got something resembling a boiled potato. Our server Sylvia was amazing and got it fixed but did mention that what was originally served was the standard for their hash browns. Alright, Cora is a chain. But it's a really nice one! They make an effort to offer healthy options for breakfast that would also look great and would be fun for the kids! Great selection of dishes with fresh fruit, which could be complemented with yogurt or oatmeal. And, yes, if you are really craving a greasy brunch, they also have poutine and some dishes with egg. Even when taking our order he is looking at them and forgetting what we are saying. Decided to check out this restaurant on the recommendation of my other half's sister. We were not dissapointed. This being said, if you are not a fruit person, this may not be the place for you. I had a delicious order which came garnished by a copious amount of fruit, as do most of their dishes. The service was also excellent, or server was both helpful, efficient and pleasant. The ambiance is enjoyable and the menu options are healthy and tasty. The wait time however could have been improved, though I am told that the wait times we experienced is not a common occurrence. The price is average. Some dishes seem expensive and yet some seem cheap for what you actually get, keeping in mind fruit isn't cheap anywhere these days. It balances out always. Overall, this is an enjoyable place to eat and we will return. read more

Went to Cora the other day in the orchard park mall. It was busy, there was a 5 min wait at the door. Because we had been delayed longer than expected at a previous appointment, my sugar levels dropped to an emergency level. I grabbed the first person passing by our table,which just happened to be Graham, the manager. He very quickly brought me an orange juice, and then stayed nearby to make sure I was ok. He was concerned and considerate, and the food was excellent! read more

For all the hype it was not worth the time or money. Our server barely gave us the time of day, he started off by yelling at us to take our order and proceeded to leave before giving us the chance to ask about anything on the menu let alone if we wanted bacon or sausage. He spent time talking to his other tables who he seemed to be friends with but breezed right over us for almost our entire stay. The custard in our crepes was poorly distributed and left one end very dry while the other had far too much custard to even eat to the point of having to remove a large amount of it to enjoy the remainder of the crepe. The crepes were highly overpriced for what we received and the food wasn't even that delicious. Overall I was highly disappointed and would rather spend my breakfast money at Denny's. read more

I had a great brunch here on Labour Day. Despite how busy it was, the service was great (shout out to my server Joshua - such a babe). I had a veggie omelette served with roasted potatoes and GF toast ($1 extra). There was also some fruit as a garnish and a selection of jams. The omelette could have been a bit more seasoned, plus some of the potatoes were burnt /undercooked. I really enjoyed my meal, though, and the diner-like atmosphere and will definitely be returning to try out their famous fruit cocktails and yoghurt cups! read more

We waited almost an hour for our food and when it came the eggs were like rubber, the salmon lox was almost non existent, the added mushrooms on the omelette were dried up and the toast was burned. People around us were complaining about the wait...so it is not just us complaining. The food was definitely not worth the wait or the price. It's a shame, because Cora's used to be good. read more

Took my son there today, and I have a few dietary issues. I simply asked if my breakfast could have a couple slices of tomato, instead of toast. I repeat: a couple slices of tomato, instead of the toast. Our server looked at me troubled, as if I was really throwing some wild sh*t out into the universe of breakfast substitutions. "I will have to see about that," she said nervously, as I looked around for candid camera. "Mom, what have you done?!" my young, scared son asked. "Well, I was feeling feisty and just thought a slice or two of tomato would go nicely with my breakfast. You only live once. Remember to walk on the wild side." I said. Our sever returned, and I could tell good news was not on today's menu at Cora. "I talked to the cook, and he said No. No you cannot have a slice or two of tomato, instead of toast." I could feel the glare of the other patrons at this point, as word had obviously gotten out about what it was I was attempting to do. I looked over to see the cook shaking his head in disapproval, as my young son sank in his chair. I had shamed my own family, with my outrageous request. We ate quietly and quickly, but before leaving I felt a strange sense of pride and power come over me. I looked at the cooks in the kitchen, and with my fist held high in the air I yelled "For every man, woman, and child, who lives without freedom of breakfast substitutions , the rest of us must face the guilt. Hold the toast, and long live the tomato!" Anyways Cora, you could really stand to be more flexible considering how pricey your food is. I was embarrassed for you today. read more
