I'm now continuing pelvic floor physical therapy with Asha, and it has been incredibly helpful (to say the least!). Pelvic floor PT is so much more than I ever realized. I learn something new every session, and I've already noticed real improvements in my day-to-day life. Eddie at the front desk is always friendly and really helpful, and everything runs smoothly when it comes to scheduling and visits. They have valet parking available at the hospital entrance here which makes it a lot easier when I struggle to walk. Because I am only here for a little over an hour. They keep my car close to the front. The valets are very friendly and helpful. On my first visit I did have to get directions to make sure I got to the right place to check in, but it's actually not that hard. Once checked in by therapy, you take the elevator downstairs to the pool area for the aqua therapy. I've only had a couple of treatments so far and while I have been very happy with the employees and the way things seem to be going I have to say that it looks like I overdid it on my last visit and put too much strain in the wrong part of my back. This has had me laid up for a couple of weeks with my body recovering from it. I've had similar things happen before, and it is no fault of theirs. However, when I get back, I will have to have a conversation with the therapist to make some alterations on how they're doing the therapy on me. I would definitely recommend AdventHealth for therapy as I have had sessions with them on at least four different occasions and have always had good luck. They now have two locations in the celebration area plus the one in Davenport so there are options for where you can go.

I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival, and the check-in process was easy and quick. The clinical medical assistant was friendly and welcoming and best of all, the doctor I ended up seeing, Dr. Mena, was exceptional! She was communicative, attentive, and an excellent listener and made my visit feel as if it were "tailor-made". Overall, my interaction with those I encountered (front desk, medical assistants, the doctor, and laboratory techs) were positive. Best of all, I later found out that this clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community with passion, compassion and integrity, all of which were evident during my scheduled visit. I have had to use a physical therapist a few times in my life and I always look back and realize that it truly helped me recover and feel better. I have had lower back pain for almost a year and one afternoon while bending over to get laundry out of the dryer, my back went into a spasm! Wow... I could not move without pain for a number of days. I went to my doctor because I was not able to get to work and he gave me some muscle relaxers and pain pills... but he also prescribed Physical Therapy for me. A few days went by and there office called to make my first appointment. I went in and I met with Dylan. We talked about what got me there and what I had been doing to try and relive the pain. He worked magic on my lower back with a tool and was able to start to loosen up the knot he found down there. It was amazing! Lucky for me, my injury was not very bad. I went to see Dylan 5 or 6 times in total for my pain to be taken away. There are patients who have been going to this facility for a long time to help with their injures and they all seemed to be getting better. Each week I was given a number of lower back excises to do that stretched out my back and strengthened my muscles. After the workout, Dylan was able to use that tool to work on that knot! It was the best part of the whole session! The staff is very nice and very patient with everyone and I am very happy that I found good, caring people to help me with my pain. If I ever need physical therapy in the future, I know where I will be going. Enjoy and feel better!

I arrived to my first appointment and was taken back to a room after filling out some paperwork for my initial evaluation. My physical therapist, Dr. Bastian, is a godsend. He was thorough in my initial evaluation and listened to my concerns intently and had a ton of helpful information to ease my mind about everything I am going through.
