First impression; amazed and speechless. Jason is the embodiment of a skilled reefer, his knowledge, care and love for the hobby reflects greatly on his inventory of corals. He does not shy away from helping guide newbies to the hobbies on good practices for a successful reef tank. Most sellers would not take the time to educate on good practices and just care about sells but NOT Jason. His costumer service has exceeded my expectations; in and out his shop his customer service does not end. When he says, "text me if you have questions." he means it. I was very hesitant about starting corals since I am still fairly new to the hobby and many people recommended not to do coral due to amount of attention to detail that comes with in. Had a great experience purchasing with Coral Collectors for the first time. I bought 2 acropora frags. The frags arrived in great condition (not easy given the fact that the ones I ordered have very thin branches which beak easily). The frags were larger than I expected. Great communication with Jason who appreciated my concern with QT and not introducing fish pathogens with the frags into my DT. He coordinated the ship date and carrier with me and I was at the UPS center first thing to get the frags home. When I opened the box, I was pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised to find "bonuses" to my order. Jason, the owner, is hands-on and the person you'll likely deal with, and is therefore vested in your satisfaction.  It's a family business as Jason and his wife Amanda are both involved, so there's consistency in customer service.  Jason really knows his reef tanks and corals as he's been at this for a while as both a hobbyist and tank servicer.  Therefore he's seen a variety of systems and has a good feel for what works and what doesn't, including how best to grow the wide variety of corals he frags and propagates.  Coral Collectors has an excellent selection of common to mid-level varieties, with a decent selection of high-end pieces, often at value prices.  Frags are healthy, have great colors, are good sized, and transition well to other tanks as they've been captive grown for generations.  Most are grown under LED (black boxes). I'm not too far away in LA County so I've done in-person pickups, and even then the packaging is good, so they know what they're doing when it comes to shipping if that's your requirement/preference. Plus Jason throws in a freebie or two or three.  My last order was large so he even included a couple of high-end pieces.  They also do live sales via YT, worth checking out to get a better idea of the colors vs looking at some oversaturated photoshopped pics many vendors use. If anything, the YT image slightly washes out the colors, but is more realistic, and chances are it will look quite a bit better in your tank.  Plus they're nice people, making the whole buying experience a small exercise in reaffirmation of humanity. read more
