My ride in for a custom seat on my FJR
    Jackson A.

Having my 6th seat made here at Corbin in Hollister. I've always enjoyed the ride here from home, a 2 hour relaxing ride. Once you arrive a service tech comes to greet you and take your request for how your seat is made, from the fitting to your backside, to the type of material used and down to the stitching. Having so many seats done here, you realize the importance of having a seat that fits and is comfortable for long rides and finally, how it complements your bike.

2/12/2024 . Got my Corbin Solo seat today, have not installed it yet but this is a review on what I see visually. To me it's built well, the quality is perfect, was able it install the backrest with no problem. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lock and keys for the seat. When I designed it and ordered it I didn't know. When your seat cost $1136 ya gotta lock it. Can't wait to install it, funny thing I picked the snake look for the seat part not even realizing what I did. My bikes color is Snake Venom Green.... will update after installation and ride it for 300+ miles.

    Honda Grom re-covering: perfect

I understand the reviews and peoples' feedback regarding customer service and communication. I did have to make a few calls to get things sorted, priced out and scheduled for a couple of saddle re-coverings but in the end it worked out perfectly and efficiently. I think communication is important on both sides when you want something to go smoothly or need to work a problem. Terra and Lisa were both very helpful in getting me the information i needed and actually got me in last minute for a Saturday Ride-In slot just two days before the appointment. The saddles on one of my track bikes and Honda Grom I use for the pits became faded and torn from the weekends in the sun and all that knee dragging at the track. The techs at Corbin were thorough and efficient in re-covering these saddles and they came out perfect! So stoked to get back on these. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to future saddle builds with Corbin.

Seat is too long by approximately 3/4" and the locking pins won't line up to even secure into place.

MUST READ !!! BEAUTIFUL LOOKING SEAT, EVERYTHING I WAS HOPING FOR WHEN PURCHASED IT !!! After looking at all of my cover options, I ended up deciding that Corbin's website choices looked to be the best, so that's what I ended up going with... :-) I was so Excited when I received the Seat, I went straight home after work and found that IT DIDN'T FIT and in fact IT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE. It was approximately 3/4" too long and didn't fit between my Tank and the Rear Seat Cowl. You can even see that it wasn't made the same as the one shown in their Website Image. And after (2) phone calls & (7) Emails to their Customer Service, I was force into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After all of that, they still won't return My Emails OR the BBB's calls regarding refunding my money. My Regrets Are not reading the BBB & Yelp Reviews AND stupidly paying cash, as now I have no option for a Credit Card Dispute. This Company will take your money and run.... !!!!!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CORBIN PACIFIC, INC. !!!!!!!!! Lastly................... BELOW ARE SOME QUOTE THAT I PULLED FROM POSTED YELP REVIEWS: "Corbin = A SEVERE Disappointment." "I Hope there is a class action law suit against this company." "I don't recommend doing business with people like this." "Customer service will not return my calls or answer my emails. I am trying to work with my credit card company for a refund. It must be a California thing where quality and service are of no concern to their employees or managers." "If I could rate as zero stars I would. Don't waste your money on a Corbin seat." "Unreal customer service!! I have left numerous messages and emails, asked for supervisors, NOTHING!! I will now have to look at my legal options. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!! You have been warned! "Hands down the worst costumer service I have experienced. I would not buy a single thing from them in the future." "Just another lazy American company they doesn't respect their customer base." "I'll be sure to tell every single rider I speak to never to use Corbin. Customer Service and their Manufacturing need a major overhaul." "At this point I regret ever stopping by their booth and ordering this seat." "When I complained, they were unresponsive. I wrote an extensive email to their customer service, also nonresponsive. I would never-ever recommend them again!" "I should have listened to the dozen or so motorcycle shops warnings. Mostly ripping on them because the seats never fit correctly. Not sure why this is allowed to go on and on. Mr. Corbin should clean house and hire pleasant people, and craftsman with experience. Unless he just likes making tons of money on selling inferior seats. Feeling guilty and greed are two separate thoughts I guess." "I cannot believe how unprofessional this company is. Firstly, they cannot make the product properly either in terms of it fitting the bike and having the correct pieces for it to locate." "When you have a problem, you will find they have zero customer service, no one will contact you, no one cares, no one even apologizes and when you call them, their level of interest makes you feel like you are calling a very distant friend in the middle the Superbowl." "Don't be fooled in to thinking you are buying a quality custom product, I think the prices are just that high because of the number of errors they make." "How they can remain in business is beyond me, absolutely 100% the worst company I've ever dealt with, by a huge margin. They couldn't care less and you will feel like you've been used." "I work as a motorcycle tech and these are the biggest pieces of junk out there they don't fit 99% of the time." "If you want to be lied to, then order a seat from Corbin.DON'T BUY FROM CORBIN". They have customer Service issues, big time." "The manager from Corbin was rude and inconsiderate, telling me he "can't run a business offering full refunds". I said refunds should be based on fault. He said "I could offer you no refund, but I"m willing to offer a refund with 20% restocking fee and that this is very reasonable". I won't buy another product from Corbin and recommend others to do same." "This has been the worst possible experience that I could have had buying a seat." "Do not do business with Corbin as their customer service is horrible. 6 calls over 3 weeks to resolve something as simple as them sending me the wrong seat, and still no resolution. The customer service manager somehow does not believe this is a customer service issue; denial is 99% of their problem. They are very skilled at making promises and getting you off the phone, then nothing happens." Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'm only doing this to save others from making the mistake that I made. Sincerely, Rik Day

Did a beaver chew on this? This is before I tried to put it on my bike

I ordered a custom seat for my Honda for more than $700. I received it and the back was crooked. Additionally the latch had tooling marks on it and looked thoroughly used. It also wouldn't latch to the bike securely. I asked to return it in light of these issues and they told me "This is a hand shaped saddle where we raised the seat height for both rider and passenger. We are not able to offer a refund on a one off design." They then said that I'd have to shim the latch with washers if I wanted it to fit. I did order the seat higher than normal but at no point did they tell me that they'd send me a malformed product and refuse to make it right because of this. I immediately filed a chargeback with my credit card company. Corbin emailed me and asked for a return to which I said I'd gladly agree so long as they sent me a label and paid for initial shipping (the credit quote didn't include the initial freight for the obviously-defective seat). They never replied and I thankfully got my money back through the dispute process. My used dual-sport came with a Corbin seat and they're a big name in this space so I didn't bother to look up reviews before ordering. In retrospect I wish that I had. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but I feel compelled to spread the word so that others don't have to waste their time on bad customer service and an inferior product. I would advise buying an OEM seat and getting it re-done at your local upholsterer; it'll be cheaper and better.

Silly placement for heated seat switch + only on/off, no power adjustment

Terrible experience! AVOID CORBIN AT ALL COSTS!!! The Corbin seat I received for my Moto Guzzi Stelvio was only marginally more comfortable than the OEM seat, but it was inaccurate in size and I couldn't fit on it. Corbin asked for an additional 300$ + 100$ embroidery to modify the seat despite the fact that they made a seat that is NOT identical to the original one. Corbin did NOTHING to help and instead dumped all responsibility on the dealer through whom I'd ordered the seat (thankfully, Jim Hamlin in Betgel CT is the opposite of Corbin and offered me an exchange). I'll add that having spoken near a dozen times to folks at Corbin, they are CLUELESS, USELESS and gave me totally conflicting statements as to the materials of the seat covers. DO NOT BUY A CORBIN SEAT: THEY ARE PREPOSTEROUSLY EXPENSIVE, NOT GREAT COMFORT, AND THE COMPANY IS RUN BY CLUELESS HOODLUMS!!!

I ride a 2019 Kawasaki Versys X 300. The stock seat height is 32 inches, Corbin's seat is 34 1/2 inches! I asked them to lower it to at least 33 inches, but the explained the could not. They said 33 1/2 was as low as they could go. The result is a seat that sits up too high and too far back. The "engineers" have plenty of room to move the seat forward and down. I do not know who they think are buying a 300 cc motorcycle with a 32 inch seat height, but I assure you, we are not giants. Even with handlebar risers, I am leaning forward, and there is no comfortable seating position. I regret spending $560 (with shipping) on this seat. Build quality is great, but the seat is overbuilt and looks frumpy, in my opinion.

It's difficult to overstate the level of service and quality that Corbin offers. I scheduled a ride in to have a seat made for my KTM 1290 super adventure and rode from Reno to Holister and I don't regret the trip at all. The two gentlemen who actually made my seat were motorcycle seat wizards and worked with me to be sure that my seat met my expectations and needs. It will be a few months of riding until my seat reaches its eventual level of comfort based on the information I was given so I'll give an update.

7": ok for a skinny young teenager, but ridiculous for an average sized adult.
    Roy H.

I spent $1,455 on a custom Corbin seat for my 2013 Triumph Thunderbird. It looks great up front and is comfortable for the rider. The ridiculous part is the passenger seat. There's only 7" between the two backrests for the passenger to squeeze between. Only a skinny young teenager would be able to sit there. I've owned several Corbin seats over the years and all of them had ample room for both the rider and passenger. Chris Keohane, their customer service representative, doesn't seem to care at all. I've sent him photos of it and even offered to bring the bike in to Hollister so he and Mike Corbin can see it for themselves. It's a high quality seat, but totally unrealistic for any adult passenger.

I'm happy to be writing a stellar review here as I was disappointed to read all the negative ones (after ordering my custom seat; I like to do things backwards). I have a 2018 Bonneville T120 and wanted a nicer, more plush seat for long rides so I ordered the Gunfighter in natural black leather with green diamond stitching to match my paint job of competition green. I used the online order form since I had a bad case of laryngitis at the time and was surprised by an email from Marty correctly confirming my order THE VERY NEXT MORNING. Wow. Thanks. Here's the real shocker though. I placed my order late night on March 21st and my seat arrived today. 10 days, kids! 10 days. The estimated delivery was to be up to five weeks (3-5 weeks) so I am pleased, to say the least, to have my seat so soon and in what appears to be perfect condition and just what I ordered. In other good news, the seat went on easily, locked right into place (no washers necessary) and I'm able to lock the seat with the existing Triumph lock and key. Thank you to The Corbin Team for your excellent and speedy service. I hope future reviews will reflect the same experience I had because it really sucks to have a bad experience attached with a motorcycle. I will update this review after I break my Corbin in and see how it holds up. Fingers crossed!

Beautiful saddles at first that fall apart, & then you discover how bad their customer service is even when you want to pay to have it fixed

When it came time to get a leveling kit for my truck, there weren't many options in town. 831 Trucks were the highest rated. So I went in for an estimate. Starting with the service... the level of honesty and customer service here is absolutely unrivaled. I like to off-road, but this truck is also my daily driver, so I was torn on getting a 3.5" lift, or just a leveling kit to get some much needed front end clearance. They could have taken the chance to try and upsell me on the much more expensive lift, but that's not what they did. They asked questions about my driving habits, do I tow, how often do I off-road, and suggested that the leveling kit would be much more effective for my use, and much less expensive. Wow! The estimate wasn't gouging. No giant part markups here, just what they cost, and I checked. The work was done in half a day, and it was done very well. The next morning I noticed the front end suspension on the driver side was making some wild noises. So I took it back, they looked at it for no charge, and let me know that my struts had reached the end of their life after 118k miles. Fair enough! They suggested a part, provided a competitive quote (again, no part markups), and had it installed in less than half a day after I got back from my weekend getaway. Because the new shocks were also leveling, and I had just been there, they very generously adjusted the cost. It made a customer for life. The new ride is incredible, and after having crawled around under the truck, the workmanship is fantastic. I had noticed what looked like coolant on my driveway, and when I picked the truck up from the shock install, they let me know it looked like my water pump was leaking. No upsell, no push to have the work done. They said they noticed the leak, suggested the work, and let me know they were there if needed. I got it home and traced the leak to the gaskets on my pump. At 120k miles, I'd say it reached the end of its operable life. Guess where I'll be going to get that taken care of? Thanks for being awesome, 831 Trucks.

I don't stay home during covid I have a a job to do and need to take time off for things like this.
