During the repair, ABQ Collision forgot to re-affix the under-tray, which came lose, and replaced the entire thing at the cost of the part. Some areas for improvement: 1. ABQ Collision did not promptly let me know that my replacement headlamp had arrived and I could bring my car in. I found out the part was there when I called to check since I hadn't heard anything for a while. 2. ABQ Collision was reluctant to admit that the under-tray issue was their fault, and did charge me around $60 for the part. I would have expected that to be written off since that was their mistake and the cost was relatively small. Still, I'd gladly come back.

Luckily, with persistence and calling around. EL PATO Autoglass says they would be happy to help, set a time and with mobile service, and reasonable prices. I (we) immediately booked them. The company is on west-side of river with easy access to 98th and I-40, they were able to find me quickly. I would recommend them to everyone, to support local Albuquerque and remote outside of city sites. As for the professionalism and professional tools and equipment made quick fast efficient work of the glass replacement. This is one I will not be using again. I scheduled a service call to have a sliding glass door repaired. The rollers and weather seal had failed and needed to be replaced. A tech named Joe came out to the residence to perform an assessment and take measurements if the door had to be replaced. It was a month before I heard anything from them about the estimate and that was only after I called them. In hind sight this lack of professionalism should have been a clear indication that I should have gone another route. But nevertheless I scheduled the repair job with them. The day before our scheduled appointment I received a call from their office rescheduling the appointment due to an issue with her technician. They did come out on the second appointment and did fix the faulty rollers, but the tech did not address the issue of the bad weather seal. I personally asked him if he was going to fix the weather seal prior to him beginning any work that day and he informed me that "it needed a moehair" and he would have to wait until he had the door uninstalled to determine which one it needed. Well he uninstalled and reinstalled the door without replacing the mohair unbeknownst to me. It was not until the following morning when I noticed the tremendous amount of freezing cold air pouring into the house under the sliding door that I realized he had not done as requested. I called the office to mention that he forgot to address the issue and was told that my door was old and the correct part was no longer available. Of course I then asked why it wasn't replaced instead of being charged nearly $400 to "repair" an old door that they don't make parts for. She gave me a long run around before finally convincing me to let them come back out and see if there was a solution. We set an appointment for the following, week which required I move things around on my schedule. Once again the day before the scheduled appointment I received a call from the office rescheduling the appointment. Long story short that same thing happened 2 more times before I decided to hire a different glass company.

Sure, the service was efficient as suggested, but their business model is crooked and misleading. On the phone they said their diagnostic fee was $65, and if it was a simple issue with the power window slipping out of it's assembly, the fix would be quick and would apply against the diagnostic fee and cost nothing more. But if it's a regulator issue, she said, it would take longer. This language was rehearsed and deliberate and implied diagnostic fees applied toward repairs... Until they gave me a regulator diagnosis, with a repair cost of $315, and retained the diagnostic fee in top of that. Over $400 to fix my basic power window issue is lame enough, but crafting their misleading language to cover up an objectively money-grabbing business practice puts them on a par with the legendary charlatans of Brake Mastery. I will never go back here, nor recommend them to anyone else. Absolutely shameful.

We were recommended to talk to Auto Glass and they were super helpful in working with our car manufacturer to figure out how to get a replacement window. Unfortunately it seemed getting the glass would take too long for the manufacturer (10-14 days!!!!) so we were instead routed to their service center in Dallas. Auto Glass - at no charge (!!!) - knocked out the remaining glass, cleaned out the trunk of all the loose glass shards and patched us up temporarily so we could drive the car. Absolutely wonderful people - thank you to Leonard especially for helping us out through a stressful situation!
