Staff attentiveness and friendliness is lacking a bit. I was not approached by anyone about help with finding anything I needed. The meat counter staff was friendly. The market is clean and has a lot to offer, from canned goods, baked goods, and more. They offer hot food and tasty treats. The young lady who took our Halo Halo order was very friendly. And the tasty Halo Halo packed with colorful ingredients, topped with Ube ice cream and leche flan hit the spot on a warm summer afternoon. 37 North had several customers stop in while we sat and enjoyed our Halo Halo. I stopped in on their opening day and have seen them make large strides from then to now! They listen to the community and respond with their whole heart! You can find many of our favorite Philippine staples there and don't need to drive to Newport News or Richmond to buy those necessities. They have them!! I originally stopped in after reading on Yelp that the owner makes her own kimchi and lumpia and I'm so glad I did. The woman at the front was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, answering all my questions about the different products in the store. I found the kimchi and lumpia right away and ended up walking out with four bags of groceries, that's how good her selection is. From baked goods to sauces to snacks, everything was great. She also carries some fantastic teas, but I'm keeping my favorite a secret because her prices are better than anything I've found online and I'm not taking the risk of it being sold out next time! Overall, this place is a wonderful local market that's absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back (over and over again).
