A solid 4.0 place…read more After driving by this place many times we finally stopped and checked the place out. We didn't buy any meats but looked over what was being offered and seemed fair priced compared to the chain places. My guess is that these would have been way better tasting though. Maybe next time. We just didn't need anything today. Now I will say this besides some nice looking ribeyes, this is clearly the place to go for exotic meats. Frog legs, bison, and alligator just to name a few. We did buy a few sandwich's and our review is based on that. The wifey got herself a roast beef sandwich and I got a ham and cheese. Both were packed with meat. Very filling. Now don't get me wrong you'll pay for these sandwich's but with the meat they stack on you won't be mad. We both like our sandwich's and remember what I said about being full of meat - my wifey brought 1/2 of hers home. As for me - I finished mine but won't be eating an early dinner :). The young lady who made our sandwiches took care of us and the other customers by herself and I think she did real well. The place offers no inside eating but a couple tables outside near the front door that are covered and a couple picnic benches next to the building, uncovered. Today with the sun and heat - covered was our choice. So again after years of passing this place - I'm glad we stopped. Decent sandwiches. I'm sure we will stop in again.

Insufferably slow service and everything super expensive. One person working isn't getting it done.read more

My partner is always looking for the best pupusas in town, so I had to stop and get some to put them to the test. After an embarrassing interaction due to a Spanish/English language barrier (I really should know more Spanish), I worked out one order of chicharron pupusa, which included three and curtido. They were made fresh; I could see the man making them by hand! This also means receiving the order took some time. I wasn't in a rush, so I spent my time looking at all the delicious international products they hosted in-store. I noticed an $11.99 lunch special that I'll have to come back for and a bunch of spices that I need to add to my pantry. I received my hot and fresh order with a smile and waited for my partner before digging in. They were delicious! A true delight. The outside was just the right amount of crisp, and the inside was gooey cheese, pork, and beans. I can't wait to go back and try more. An FYI to first-time visitors: the parking lot only has one entrance, and you can speed by it if you don't notice. The parking lot is small, but this seems to be an in-and-out place, so I suspect it shouldn't be too hard to find a spot.

Wanted to take my sweetie for a steak for his birthday and this place didn't disappoint…read more From the moment we walked in, it felt welcoming and cozy. Our server Lorna was delightful. They brought out crackers and spreadable cheese which was a nice surprise. The fresh hot mini rolls were so good with salted butter. Lorna warned us not to eat too many of the snacks before and to save room for dinner. We got salads with blue cheese which was homemade. You can really appreciate a homemade dressing because it was thick and flavorful which made the crisp greens even better. I had a kettle one orange cosmo which was perfect. Not too much alcohol and shaken to perfection. There were many cocktail options and a great selection too of wines to choose from. Hubby tried a Negroni but didn't love it. (Didn't care for the gin) I asked for a different bourbon manhattan and they didn't charge us which was super nice of them. I had my New York strip medium with a baked potato. Hubby got the porterhouse also with baked potato and a side of broccoli. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked for them. They came with a tray of sour cream, fresh bacon bits and chives for our baked Potatoes. So nice to have that service at the table. We were too full to order dessert, but Lorna brought out a small dish of ice cream a/ brownie and a candle to sing for hubby's birthday. From start to finish, an excellent meal with amazing service and a down home feel.

The service wasn't too bad, but definitely not what we had last year. The espresso martini was really good, but the cosmo is not my thing. The food. I ordered my tuna medium. It was well over cooked. The flavor was there, but it was pretty dry. My lemon had no juice and looked like someone bit it already. The sauce it came with was a bright spot. Couldn't tell you what it was, neither could the waitress, but it was good. The steak was not the best. She likes her steak medium rare and it came out a little undercooked and chewy. It didn't have any flavor. There was no butter/garlic butter or even stalk and pepper to taste. We could hear the waiter behind us telling the other table "watch it's a hot skillet" ours wasn't even warm. The waitress had us use the bread butter and salt and pepper on the table to season it and the butter didn't even fully melt the butter. It was just not the experience we were bragging to people about. If you're going to spend $60 on a steak, this one's not it. Unfortunately at the time I'm writing this we went to a different steak house about 8 mins away. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Will be going there for date night next year.
