I never got a chance…read moreto go to my second appointment today - when I walked in to the office (which is a shared wellness office space), there was a woman seated behind the front desk with her mask off, eating.  She also happened to be talking about how she had just gotten over having Covid over the Christmas holidays.  I explained that I wasn't comfortable being inside with someone not wearing a mask, and left immediately. I know that it's a shared space, but the lack of basic safety protocols during Covid is alarming and clearly unsafe and goes against basic CDC and city safety guidelines as well. It's completely irresponsible and there is a duty to keep a wellness space safe for your customers, especially with surging COVID numbers. This lack of care and basic safety measures (wearing a mask indoors in a small space!) is unacceptable, dangerous, and extremely disappointing.  I obviously will not be returning.

In my 3rd trimester of pregnancy, I was experiencing terrible back pain, along with locked hips and round ligament pain that were barely allowing me to walk. I was crying myself to sleep every night, but I didn't want to go to a chiropractor - my last experience being adjusted terrified me with all sorts of cracks and pops like a private Karate session on my neck - and I didn't know who to turn to. Dr Erin & James are fantastic. They took great care of me throughout the remaining of my pregnancy. Not only they brought my body back to motion, but they absolutely helped me get the pregnancy I wanted (being able to walk for hours + go to yoga at 40+ weeks!!), and I had the most amazing birth one can expect, thanks to their Webster expertise, and their emotional and intellectual support. They were never short of homework to do and recommendations (books, documentaries, etc.) - you can tell how passionate they are about their practice, and the empathy they have towards their patients. Once my baby was born, I got him immediately adjusted there, following a tongue tie revision. I have seen countless babies and newborn at their office: they really are that good! If you hesitate to bring your LO, be sure you'll get the perfect attention and gentle care he/she deserves there. Last but not least: their new office is beautiful, modern, bright, classy, and breastfeeding/baby/kid friendly. If you are still reading my review at this point, well, you get what I'm saying. Don't hesitate. I'm so happy that I didn't.

I mean if you have your own private office in dyker heights, just stay there. Stop telling your bay parkway patients to travel to another place if they selected you because of the convenience! When I went to his office in dyker heights thinking that I was going to see him and his physical therapist, I was wrong!! Out of no where, his secretary tells me "Dr. Nunziata would like you to see the Orthopedic doctor" (which is his partner in the office). I did not want (or had plans) to see this stupid Orthopedic doctor, but was forced into it. Thank god my health insurance is reliable, or else the 5 stupid minutes I spent (unwillingly) with this stupid Orthopedic doctor would had costed me an arm and leg. The Orthopedic doctor made easy money out of me. All he did was ask me 5 questions, and then wrote me a prescription (for one month so that I can come back to him and help him make more money). I thought he was useless, and a waste of my time! I felt like Dr. Nunziata referred me to his dear friend/partner (Orthopedic doctor) for profitting purposes! I felt ripped off and cheated!They basically exemplified how f*ed up the healthcare system is. After that incident, I stopped going to his office. His secretary called me a few weeks ago to ask me if I would like to make an appointment to see him, and I basically said NO! During that visit, Melinda Keller reviewed my intake forms and sent me for three X-rays before continuing the consultation. I was required to pay $125.00 for the X-rays that day. After reviewing the results, I was presented with an approximately $7,000 out-of-pocket treatment plan. When I asked how my progress would be measured and what specific improvements I should expect, I left feeling that my questions had not been clearly answered. The office also felt very high-volume, with one assistant caring for numerous patients, on different machines at the same time. Having previously worked for a chiropractor, I left feeling that the experience was more focused on selling a treatment plan than on individualized care. After my visit, I posted a Google review describing my experience. Shortly afterward, Melinda Keller personally called me and asked me to return to the office. During my second visit, much of our conversation centered on my review and the effect it could have on her business. She then offered several spinal decompression treatments at no charge so I could determine whether they would help. I agreed. On May 11, 2026, the assistant positioned me on the spinal decompression table and started the treatment. According to the manufacturer's safety instructions for the decompression table, patients should be provided with a handheld emergency stop button before treatment. I was not given one. I was also left alone in the treatment room -- on a machine that requires close monitoring while strapped into a high-tension mechanized machine - which, according to the manufacturer's instructions, was not consistent with the recommended safety procedures. During the treatment, the table unexpectedly began pulling and jerking one side of my body downwards with tremendous force. I do not know whether the machine malfunctioned or whether incorrect settings were used. What I do know is that I repeatedly called out "Hello!" twice because I needed help, and no one came into the room. The force was so sudden and violent that it is one of the most frightening experiences I have ever had. Eventually, the machine stopped on its own, and I remained lying there frozen in shock, watching the timer count down to zero. When the assistant returned to unstrap me, I mentioned the machine acting erratically, but she offered no explanation - not even a raised eyebrow - just an awkward silence. Afterward, because I already knew something had gone wrong and was concerned about the pain I was beginning to experience, I agreed to a cold laser treatment in the hope that it might reduce inflammation and help minimize any injury. As someone who has worked extensively with medical lasers in my own profession, that seemed like a reasonable decision at the time. Before the cold laser treatment began, the assistant immediately handed me an emergency shut-off button and instructed me to use it if the treatment became too warm. That moment has stayed with me ever since. I had just completed a treatment on a motorized decompression table while alone and without an emergency stop button, yet I was promptly given one for a laser treatment where I could have simply sat up if I became uncomfortable. Approximately a week later, I emailed Melinda Keller explaining that I continued to experience significant pain and specifically asked what machine settings had been used during my decompression treatment. Instead of answering my question, or calling me to discuss what had happened, I simply received copies of my intake paperwork and X-rays. I never received the information I requested or any meaningful follow-up regarding the incident or my how I was feeling. I am currently undergoing medical evaluation. Until that process is complete, I cannot say exactly what injuries I may have sustained. I can say that I continue to experience pain that began immediately after this treatment. Pain that I didn't have before the treatment experience. This review reflects only my personal experience. Based on what happened to me, I cannot recommend Brooklyn Spine Center.

I had chronic…read moreback pain since having a bad experience with a different chiropractor who had fixed the crick in my neck sustained in my yoga practice 3 months prior; however, left me with a new tremendous, electric, debilitating back pain for months to come (December 2017). 8 months later, after working with my favorite physical therapist (getting to apprx 70% full recovery), and experimenting with other chiros and remaining largely underwhelmed, hopeless and unchanged, I was recommended by a colleague to check out John. I saw John 8 months to the day of my injury in July and I feel nearly 100% to my physical being prior to 8 months ago. I haven't had to see him since. John is remarkable in that he thoroughly listens to everything you have to divulge, then confidently addresses the concerns through meticulous movement assessment and tests, physical release methods and "adjustments," acupuncture, deep myofacial massage and finally he dismisses you with homework or corrective exercises to do on your own. I was at my wit's end with back pain never having experienced it in my life prior to a bad episode at another doctor's hands. As a part time personal trainer and exercise instructor, movement and activity are big parts of my routine and ritual and I was depressed and frustrated with the lack of improvement and pain I experienced up until meeting John. John is direct, concise and wastes no time getting to the root of the problem. I intend to see him if I ever experience any kind of future impingement or discomfort, and perhaps just for acupuncture every once in a while to get into tight spots (like hips, since most of us sit in offices all day). GO SEE HIM ASAP. Stop wasting your time with chiros who say you need to go to them 2x a week for a month---they're taking your money without even knowing how your body will react after your first appointment.
