The receptionist explained today that I must paid $86 dollars first then on second visit will pay $6 since I am covered by Medicare, since I am retired from the government. They said they called the insurance and provided code. I asked what code was provided to the insurance and they refused to provide. I have excellent insurance which this doctor is in Network. I explained this is illegal to ask for money up front to a patient if I am covered. I called my insurance, and they agreed this is illegal to do if they are in network and have a contract with insurance. This is a warning to all those who make an appoinmnet to ask questions and if in doubt of their answer, contact your insurance. Doctors are not to ask for money upfront to a patient if they are in Network and have a contract, this is illegal! Very disappointed.

The pain I experience is nerve pain and it is very temperamental and persistent. Stenosis is a very sensitive issue to address and furthermore very stubborn. Nerves do not like to be touched, therefore unlike a muscle which you can massage out, nerves require working AROUND in order for the surrounding tissue and musculature to play nice with its temperamental neighbor. I went to Dr. Calvano somewhat sceptical, but my coworker suggested him and I trust her more than anyone. Not only am I completely pain free now, but I left there with a sense of ease knowing that there are practitioners out there who truly care about each individual and will work WITH you to really address what matters to you. I appreciate Dr. Calvano's style of open communication and genuine interpersonal skills. He explained to me everything he was doing and warned me of what to expect post treatment. He gave homework, which I love so I can start to learn how to help myself and not just be completely at the mercy of a body worker. He was honest and collaborative with me and adjusted treatments along the way when we saw something may not be working the way we wanted it to. My issue required a total of 18 sessions which is definitely on the longer side. When we were reaching the max of 12 sessions that my insurance would cover, Dr. C sent in a detailed report requesting more time for my very specific needs. Due to his thorough report my insurance company provided me with 8 extra treatments completely covered! We only ended up requiring 6 so I still 2 more sessions for the year if need be. Because we never gave up, here I am pain free after 5 months of continuous discomfort. I could not be more pleased and appreciative or more impressed. I have so much love for this man. Dr. Calvano is a truly holistic practitioner. He never belittled my goals for myself or told me there were things I could not do anymore. He simply told me there are things you are going to do differently and as we work to get you to your optimal functioning you will get back to doing all that is meaningful to you. I can tell you that I am. I workout 7 days per week now doing very high intensity, strenuous movements with my body and I feel great. Then my constructor guy recommended me to go to a chiropractor and gave me Dr. Mendoza's address. It is almost two months that I have been going to therapy with him, even though I have not been assisting regularly as he recommended me, I feel much much better. There is a big difference between you going to a regular therapy clinic and going to a chiropractor. For example, Dr. Mendoza focuses in your problem and explains to you clearly the cause (s) of why your body is affected and give the therapy based in your problem, he also recommends to take natural products and change your habits of eating since what you put in your body is the most important in order to hill your body. This is something that in a regular therapy clinic nobody tells you. Based in my experience with Dr. G. Mendoza, I have recommended to some of my friends and I even took the lady who was my kids baby sister more than 20 years ago. It's so easy to schedule appointments, he's wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable about lots of different things regarding health; i.e. vitamins, nutrition, etc. But the main reason I wanted to write this review was how he has helped me with very bad ankle pain I was experiencing at the end of 2018 in my left ankle. A problem that came out of nowhere. I had even tried a few months of PT which never seemed to help. Dr Ippolito started using cold laser therapy/Graston Technique for about a month and a half, a couple of times a week.
