Ask the Community - Movement Society

What is parking like and what is the pricing?

We have some reserve (first come first serve) parking available directly in front of our entrance. There is also plenty of street parking around or multiple paid lots within a 3 minute walk from the gym.

I recently stayed here for a conference, and everything screamed vintage but athletic club, too…read more The hotel room is VERY spacious, though it erred on the side of dark. As usual, water in the room costs money, and there are a few other products with hidden price tags in the room, too. Surprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste was not provided. The water for showering also doesn't get too hot. In terms of the athletic space, the machines were very easy to access. There was never a wait even on weekend afternoons. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.

Pedro (the man) was in charge of our happy hour and came out the gate, straight in charge, as I navigated hosting my first professional event and was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Extra shout out to our amazing bartender Georgette who was -- AMAZING! Pedro, Georgette and the whole staff were extremely friendly, professional and our ensured our first company happy hour was smooth and lively. 5 stars, gold stars! Highy recommend and can't wait for our next company event here with such a great team of support staff Extra kudos to Georgette and Pedro for their services and helping me guarantee a sure lock-in for our first (and many more) events and ensuring i looked goos foe our company event. Thank you so much!!

This is the "Brandon Special" by Esther, not on the menu. I don't know what's in it but it's delish.

The coolest of people of all ages and races and truly the opposite of anything bougie. You won't find people posting on Instagram here but you just might see a movie star and a studio head sweating next to you. This place is the definition of cool. The nicest front desk staff too who actually remember your name so shout out to them especially Leah!

Easton's owner Toby and his passionate staff have facilitated a respectful and supportive community over a long period of time where all bodies are welcome, member input is prioritized, and most importantly, re-racking your weights and putting shit back where you found it is the norm! Working out at Easton feels like being part of a long tradition in Los Angeles. Even though the equipment isn't as new or exciting as other places and "it doesn't have air conditioning!" as everyone LOVES to say, nothing beats working out within Easton's beautiful brick walls, amongst vintage windows that catch a refreshing cross-breeze and dumbbells that look like they were carried by strong men in the 1940's. Easton rarely gets frustratingly crowded, and its members overall are simply RESPECTFUL, relaxed, authentic, and make this the type of business you can only find in Los Angeles. I love Easton gym!

After just 4 days of working out here, I can honestly say the $160 membership is absolutely worth…read moreit. Before coming in, I read a review claiming there was only one restroom available. That's completely false. There are several restrooms and I've never had to wait. The overall aesthetic of this place is top tier. The equipment is high quality, well maintained, and there's plenty of space to train. The gym is split into two sides and now they even have MAD Pilates, which is a great addition. So far, I haven't had to wait for equipment once. Even when it's busy, I've still been able to get a full workout in without issues. That's a huge difference compared to the gym up the street (Chuze), where you'll often see groups of people camping on the same machine. On weekends I come right when the doors open and it's about as empty as it gets. Perfect way to start the day. One warning though: don't try the peanut butter and jelly shake... unless you want to get hooked. It's that good. The turkey wrap is also a solid option. The staff has been amazing and welcoming since day one. Overall experience so far: 10/10. Highly recommended

I really enjoy this gym and appreciate the space and equipment, but I wanted to share some…read morefeedback. The heater being on full blast in the mornings makes it really uncomfortable to work out. The fans are not on, so there's no relief when the heat is running. I mean really how cold can it get in SoCal where the heater needs to be on full blast Also, it would really help if staff wore something identifiable, like a uniform shirt. There have been a few times I wanted to purchase a protein shake, but I couldn't tell who worked there or who to ask for help. Lastly, there have been times when there were no wipes available to clean the machines. Overall, still a great gym, just a few small improvements that would make a big difference! Sincerely Your overhead friend

David, the training manager, and Jenna, the personal trainer, were amazing to work with. I'm so…read moreglad I met David. He really listened to my goals and physical limitations and recommended Jenna as the best fit. Before training with Jenna, I was dealing with recurring pain, stiffness, muscle strains, and diastasis recti. Since working with her, all of those issues have improved significantly. I became much stronger and achieved incredible body recomp results. At my 1st check in the number on the scale barely moved but I'd lost 6 inches of measurable fat from around my body and replaced lbs of fat w muscle. That's why the inbody scan is so important. I got it done beginning, middle, and end and invested in a smart scale for home. Beyond the physical results, Jenna gave me the knowledge and confidence to train on my own, and I've continued applying what she taught me. Working with Jenna was hands down the best investment in my physical health. I highly recommend meeting with David and allowing him to guide you toward the trainer who best fits your goals and needs. As for the gym itself, it's one of the cleanest Equinox locations I've been to. There is always staff cleaning equipment and keeping everything organized. If it's your first visit, be sure to allow extra time for parking, the garage can take a while to navigate. Also, don't forget to validate your parking and keep track of your ticket.

Most of the time, they are friendly but that one lady that worked there on 7/15 afternoon tanked the entire Equinox experience. I reported a broken treadmill that stopped suddenly and how dangerous it is. This lady totally ignored me, didn't even make eye contact or asked I was injured. So unprofessional!! Parking = 2 stars. The entrance to parking lot is very narrow and all the spots are very small, difficult to park. Group fitness classes = 5 stars. All the instructors are good and classes are not crowded. Women locker room = 4 stars. Usually clean but it's overly stocked with face lotion and not body lotion. Like there are 3 times more face lotion than body lotion, so hard to locate a bottle of body lotion.
