If you're looking for a bank that understands mental health, real life, or just basic decency...look elsewhere. A lot of credit unions and online banks are way less predatory and don't depend on the struggling poor for a significant part of their revenue. If you look at their social medias and you'll notice something very telling about how they feel about diversity. Almost too obvious that this is the poor vs rich.

Last time I was without a debit card for two weeks. They sent a replacement card to the wrong address. So they sent a replacement replacement card. Instead of cancelling the card at the wrong address, they cancelled its replacement. I like to keep my money local, but the ineptitude is not worth it. My debit card was just declined on a $3 purchase. After apologizing with embarrassment I called the 800 # on the back of the card because it's 5:07pm and the branches are closed. I was told that my card was reported as stolen. I'm literally holding it. Not that there was fraudulent activity, mind you. Rather that it was stolen. I indicated I did not file a report and asked if the rep could tell me who reported it stolen. Or when it was reported stolen. Nope. No info. So tomorrow I get to interrupt my work day, leave the office and head to a branch. And I get to wait for another debit card to be mailed and *fingers crossed* hope they get it right the first time. Then, yet again, I get to update all my accounts: Netflix, Ipsy, etc etc etc etc. I can't wait to receive a payment declined email a month from now from a company for which I forgot to update. So much unnecessary hassle and frustration. Not. Worth. It. Closing my account and finding a competent credit union ASAP.

I had my bank account with Putnam Bank from December 2010 to March 2018. For the most part I enjoyed the customer service the most. The only issue I had was very few. One issues was that a savings account can only have money added or taken out with a bank booklet. This seems to be a very ancient process still used in the 21st century. I would understand if at some point they updated their app so any consumer can deposit or withdraw over the app like the accessibility I have with My current bank Navy Federal. I would suggest that would be something current consumers should be able to use. Another issue which never got resolved was that I was charged by an online purchase and between the online store and the bank both just told me to contact the other which seemed like my lost $15 wasn't worth the frustration and gave up. I will consider Putnam Bank in the event I need to change banks.

I submitted my request on July 3, but on July 28, there's been no sign that the policy was changed--nothing on the State Farm website or App, no confirmation emails, and no communication from the agent. Apparently, only they can "see it on their system." There's been no progress. I've never dealt with an insurance company that takes this long to make a simple policy change. Honestly, it feels like they're just trying to hold onto the policy as long as possible to keep earning their commission. They're quick to charge your card in seconds, but when it comes to refunds or providing a timeline, there's zero information--again, only visible "on their screen." They keep saying, "This is how State Farm works," but I've had State Farm in Texas and never experienced anything like this. I've given up trying to deal with them. Good luck to anyone still trying!
