This place is spa like and the class kicked my a-double s. F*ck you chaturanga! I went to the power sculpt yoga which is like a sauna (heated room) combined with Richard Simmons on crack and the meanest drill sergeant you can imagine pushing you with vocal encouragement to go from downward facing dog and lunges and push ups and jumping jacks fast fast fast. It was a packed room and no matter what your level--if you cannot do it just hang on your mat until you can find the energy to do a couple moves. Yep I could only do a little at a time but I still got in a great workout. There are still a few ab muscles screaming at me a few days later underneath all the fat I have covered them with in the past few years. There are easier classes for certain so choose what makes you happy. The locker room is crowded and not designed with good flow as everybody clogs up the entry. It is just not very big for the amount of people they have going there. The staff were super nice. It is expensive but all these organized classes, gyms, exercise places are! I frequent this CPY location the most due to not just proximity, but parking! Private lot versus the mess that is Grand Ave or Highland, both of which need at least 10 extra minutes to ensure parking. Otherwise, the staff are all great at ensuring a clean environment, even in the wintertime when salt, snow and other junk tends to muck up the floors. The locker rooms do get a little bit crammed, which is to be expected at all locations, and the shopping inventory isn't as robust as other locations. There is also a spa here, where they do massages and facials. read more

As someone brand new to yoga the instructors are not intimidating and super helpful. I love the space. It is clean and spacious.

I couldn't ask for a better escape from my daily life. I have been practicing yoga for two and a half years and I have spent a year of it now only at Corepower Yoga & Spa Woodbury. I've never actually been to a yoga class at Corepower, but I go about once a month for a facial with Emily. She is thorough and has, over time, adjusted her regimen to meet my skincare needs. The place is clean and they use top-notch products. Definitely would recommend you go here for spa treatments. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to only put two stars but I would think that you would want to be more accommodating to new customers and potential members. I drove 45 minutes and rushed my husband and 3 kids to the studio when we live 45 minutes away. I arrived for a sculpt class that started at 5. I walked in at 5:02 (yes I know but life happens) the lady although kind of nice seemed somewhat standoffish despite me trying to be bubbly and nice. Didn't greet me the most friendly just a half effort hi .... then said hang on because she had to take a call. So I politely waited then signed a liability form. Not knowing I was going to have to do that. By this time it's 5:07 and I was trying to explain I was here to meet a friend who was waiting for me in the class. They weren't the nicest about it and told me I couldn't go in because if you're five minutes you can't enter the class which is fine but I could have possibly made it if I hadn't had to wait for her on the phone. I'm mostly upset because I drove 45 minutes here and they weren't caring in the least bit or accommodating. Just told me I could go to the next class at 5:30 which would be fine if my husband and I hadn't rearranged our WHOLE night for me to attend the 5 o'clock class. I wasn't going to make my husband drive circles around Woodbury with our three kids in negative temperatures because they don't want to let me in. I feel a nice warning and maybe a one time exception would have been much appreciated and possibly made me a long time customer. I won't be back. Not that it matters people pay an arm and a leg to workout here so losing one person probably doesn't matter. If you walk into the YMCA or LA FITNESS 5 even heck 15 minutes late they say " Hi ! We are so happy to have you ! Come join us " it takes a lot for some people to put themselves in a new environment and get there. Very discouraging especially since I went to the gym earlier and didn't get the greatest workout in since I was saving some energy for this class. Very upsetting. read more

There's something about this CorePower that seems to give off an air of a blasé suburban experience. I can't put my finger on what's wrong. This CorePower is located in a suburban strip mall so parking doesn't seem to be a problem. It's also located off the freeway so that's convenience too. Rolled in here one Sunday for a 90 minute Hot Yoga class. My instructor was Marina. She was nice and was an adequate instructor. Room was sufficiently hot enough and there were about 15 people in the class so there was plenty of space to move without bumping into your neighbor. Marina didn't skip any postures. The dressing room seemed kind of cramped though in terms of how they configured the lockers, dressing area, showers, bathrooms, etc. You need to bring your own lock for this studio. Like other CorePower locations, they provide mouthwash, tampons, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. which is nice. I don't know. For some reason, I expected this studio to a lot bigger than what it was. The configuration of the studio, like the dressing room seemed kind of cramped and long. The experience and the studio was fine but I don't think I'll be coming back since Woodbury seemed like a hike to me but if I lived closer I might consider going to this studio more often just because of proximity. read more

I love it at Corepower. The class schedule has a lot of variety, the instructors are fabulous and the facility is very clean.

I would not recommend this spa or yoga studio. I was a long time spa club member and just had to forfeit my monthly facial because they could not get me in at the end of the month. Manager (Jamie) is super rigid and not concerned with customers or customer service/satisfaction. Would have thought there would be some flexibility (they ARE a yoga studio after all) due to the schedule being full, but they were not willing to work with me at all. Management is VERY poor, even though aestheticians are pretty good (which is the shame, because they lose clients due to management not services offered. read more
