Plummer did a great job, fixed the problem, and even set up a fan in the crawl space to dry the wet area. Found the price very reasonable. Would definetly recommend.

After seeing it for himself, he agreed that it was not good and, in fact, looked far worse than any yards they had done at the same time as ours. He gave us a couple of options to try to be fair regarding what was done. I am glad to say that his offer was fair and we accepted. It doesn't completely fix what was done, but we feel a lot better about it.

We ended up working with Dick's on a multiple house plumbing issue. There were a few snags with…read moregetting access to the pipes, which caused the need to add more equipment than originally thought. The guys were able to get these issues resolved and completed the work in a very timely manner. The plumbers were very respectful and kept us informed in with everything that was needed. I was given an original quote for the work prior to all the uncovered issues needing to be resolved, which caused a requote for work which they were upfront about. They quoted high not knowing if they were going to have to rent equipment. After the work was completed, I was told they would requote again as the quote wasn't going to be nearly as high. I paid them in full the original quote prior to any work. I then waited for the final quote after work was done. I waited almost a month post work for the requote, keep in mind all communication was by email. I finally received the by mail after almost a month with a 1% late fee, not much considering the 5k bill that I ended up with, which already 3k had been paid immediately. I called them the day the bill came in the mail and one of the guys answered. I talked with him and told him that I had been waiting for this for a while now to take care of it. He understood my frustration with the late fee and assured me that it would be taken off which was very nice. I want to be clear that I had no issues with service provided by the plumbers, diggers, or survey people. My issue really lies with the billing. When I called to pay, I was told that they had emailed me the new quote. I informed her that I hadn't received an email from them since May 6th. I was dismissed and told "whatever". I don't feel that is the kind of attitude you should have with a costumer who not only paid 3k upfront which was the full original quote but has also been waiting to pay the requote since, which I paid in full today.

We had a conversion from Propane to Gas (the City of Walker has since this past fall 2020 supplied…read moregas to the area) and we contacted Dick's to complete this conversion. We already had an existing HVAC system so the conversion shouldn't have been super complicated. The service took 2 days of visits as a "part" needed for the conversion was missing. I mean, if you guys are experts in this, shouldn't you come prepared with these "parts"? The time it took to get the necessary parts needed for this conversion, it was added to the overall costs (as they charge by the hour). So even though the technician (forgot his name, but overall very cordial and polite) provided quality service in terms of the conversion (despite the hiccups), I still believe we were overcharged. Take note if you plan on using them for the gas conversion: GET YOUR QUOTE UPFRONT!!! We paid $700 dollars for something that a family friend who is a tech down in the Twin Cities quoted as costing normally no more than $300 range. To boot, my brother who lives right down the street on Walker Bay Blvd. also had his conversions (2 of them!) done by a local technician; and was charged less than $400.00! So we were ripped off. To boot, once we received the bill in the mail, we had to dispute and contest the time they noted (we have Blink cameras; so it's easy to know times/arrivals/departures); and they lowered the bill by a mere $100. So very dishonest in my opinion to tack on extra time just to bilk customers. Shame on Dick's!

He replaced the pump in about 15 minutes with no hassle and he set it up correctly. The alarm wasn't going off because it wasn't set up right. Yes Bemidji, there is a Santa Claus, but Peterson does not exist…read more Last year at this time it was 50 degrees in our house; in fact, it hadn't been above 60 degrees since Peterson Sheet Metal installed a high-efficiency Carrier heat pump coupled with an brand new Carrier electric furnace at the end of September, 2008. I was on a consulting job in Mexico from October through December while my wife (from the east coast) and my 3 sons were beginning their very first northern Minnesota winter. Prior to leaving for the job in Mexico, I knew I had to get a secure heat-source for my family -- being untested by a true winter. I decided to go green and accepted a bid from Peterson Sheet Metal to install a brand new Carrier heat pump and Carrier electric furnace. I love Bemidji and moved my family here in the summer of 2008 so my boys could take advantage of the fantastic schools and teachers, so I could share the lakes, woods, and hobbies of my childhood with my family, and so that the people I did business with I would know and could trust. In a town as large and as small as Bemidji, my family gets to meet and know the people of the community; their faces appear everywhere we go -- in our church, at the grocery store, in the park, at the science center, in the restaurants, on the ball field. I digress. While I was in Mexico supporting my freezing family last winter, neither Peterson Sheet Metal nor Carrier were interested in warming them up (or fixing the brand new Carrier heat pump and furnace). The reason I chose Peterson Sheet Metal was because it was a local company with a local face I thought I could trust. But, who would leave a mother and her three boys to shiver? Me, in Mexico, and Peterson Sheet Metal, right here in Bemidji. So, I suggest that Peterson does not exist, because I don't know anyone in Bemidji (now or from my childhood) who would be so cold. Peterson, the concept, must have been in a second home with the air-conditioning on in Arizona or Florida or somewhere where snowbirds go, but could not have been here. Even when I returned from Mexico in January to find that the furnace still didn't work, my family was freezing, and the $1000 rebate on the furnace had expired, I couldn't -- with multiple requests -- get anyone named Peterson to call me. When, at the end of January, Peterson Sheet Metal finally got the temperature in our house above the formerly elusive 60 degree mark, I still had not heard from Peterson. I paid 25% of the total cost one month before the furnace was installed, by the end of December I had paid 75% of the total cost (and the furnace didn't work), at the end of January when the brand new Carrier heat pump and furnace were finally repaired, I paid all but the final $1000. Every check I wrote went to Peterson Sheet Metal, the contract I signed including a $1000 rebate was with Peterson Sheet Metal, but when Peterson Sheet Metal wanted that last $1000 they said my "issue" was with Carrier. Peterson, I asked your desk by phone and in person more than 5-times to have you call or meet with me. I said that if you would tell me face-to-face that paying the last $1000 of the invoice made sense on a furnace that didn't work until after the rebate expired -- I would pay. But you don't call, you don't write, you just have your employees (who I have, nevertheless, very much enjoyed working with) repeatedly send invoices with threatening notes and late fees. Well, it can all stop, I will come by this week to pay you the $1000 plus the late fees you have tacked on, Merry Christmas. I'm not worried, I doubt you'll cash it, because Bemidji, Peterson does not exist.
