Tikka masala (darker one) and butter chicken
    Tina C.

Oh so delicious! First time here and it will be the first of many. We had the chicken samosas and the street cart momos for an appetizer, both were great. For entree we had butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, awesome!! Perfectly cooked, perfect amount of spices. Ambiance is lovely, staff is friendly, a must visit.

    Mango Martini

I love Indian cuisine, so when I was searching for a new Indian restaurant in southern Westchester, I was so happy that I came across Coriander. I walked into Coriander on a weekend night without a reservation and was seated relatively quickly, despite the restaurant being pretty busy. Upon sitting down, we were served water and the waitresses brought out complimentary edamame. Our drinks consisted of a mango martini and mango lassi. The mango martini was sweet and smooth. The mango portion had a nice thickness to it and the drink was not overpowering with alcohol. I enjoyed it, but for the amount of drink in the martini glass, it was a bit expensive, in my opinion. To follow up, I ordered a mango lassi and it had to be one of the best mango lassis that I have had in a while. I definitely recommend the mango lassi from Coriander. To start off, I ordered the Street Cart Momos, which are Nepalese dumplings. These little appetizers were amazing and full of flavor that was further enhanced with the small sauce that it was served with. I highly recommend anyone dining here to try the momos. Lastly, as our main course, we ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and Shrimp Vindaloo. I asked the waitress to inform the kitchen that I like my lamb tikka masala spicy. They absolutely delivered when it cane to the spice! The lamb tikka masala tasted amazing. A word of caution, though: if you are not used to eating spicy foods, just order the food normally or ask for it to be mild, because if you ask for spicy, it will definitely be SPICY! My girlfriend ordered the shrimp vindaloo. The shrimp vindaloo tasted great, as well. However, the lamb tikka masala was the winner of the night. As a tip: make sure to order some of the garlic naan to soak up any of the remaining sauces. The proteins come with ample sauce and you will want to enjoy every bit of the sauce with something to soak it up with. Overall, Coriander is an amazing restaurant with great food. I am already looking forward to returning to this restaurant and trying more foods off of their menu.

I've been going to Coriander from when they first started. As an Indian, I can assure you their dishes are fresh and delicious!! Shawn and the staff, especially Joe, are always super duper friendly and professional. We are very lucky to live so close to them and to be able to order take out or dine in at their amazing location. They recently updated the decor/paint and it looks incredible. Some of our favorite dishes there are the chicken tikka masala, biryani, malai kofta and poori. Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in the area!!! Go check them out!

I enjoyed a nice lunch here. It was my first time here, and we started off with chicken Samosa and sweet potato chaat. The chaat was amazing, with nice crisps and chickpeas. The samosas were crisp and well spiced, with a wonderful mint sauce and tamarind. For entrées, we ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. The tikka masala was very good, buttery and creamy. I accidentally received British Style Roganjosh, instead of the korma, and didn't know it. It was very tasty. Our waitress, who was quite nice, came over mShe explained that mine was roganjosh, not korma, and brought me a whole new bowl of chicken korma! I wasn't even aware I had the wrong dish, but I thought that was very honest and nice. So, I got to try chicken Rogan Josh, chicken korma, and chicken tikka masala. All three were very good, and the naan was light and fluffy. Service was great and I really appreciated the honesty in making a mistake. It was a very nice lunch and I will be back.

It's convenient but I would prefer the delivery money go straight to them. Unfortunately, because of the distance, we have to use third party delivery. Last night, I was craving something healthy, so we opted for Indian. My son and I shared our dishes, shrimp biryani and lamb saag, hubby had his tandoori chicken and our Little had some butter chicken. We got some garlic naan and pickled veg (achar) on the side, along with a mango Lassi. Everything was great, although the saag was a bit bland to me. Next time I order it, I think I'll ask for them to spice it up because my usual go to is their phaal, so that's probably why I felt it was missing something. In any case, Coromandel will always be our local spot for Indian cuisine.

They also don't allow you to ask for additional spice, which may have helped with the taste. On the positive side, the paneer was firm and the dishes included a generous portion of it. I enjoyed the chili garlic and pashwari naan. The sweetness of the latter was great for dipping in the savory sauce. The plain naan was a bit tangy. The vegetable samosas were large and very crispy. Overall, a decent option for Indian cuisine, but not my favorite.

FULL disclosure. This was a DoorDash order so I give slack in my review. I am sure everything is…read moreeven more delightful when served in house. I ordered: Kerala beef pepper fry, kadai chicken, and kung pao chicken. Everything had wonderful flavor. I love things spicy, but when ordering from a spot for the first time, I order things medium. I wouldn't mind trying the "hot" versions of these dishes, but the "medium" versions usually give the most accurate representation of flavor. The Kerala beef (madras curry, coconut, red chiles, lentils) had an extra kick to it, and was very tasty. It would be best served table-side, as a delivery order left for later would leave a lot of fat and oil. It does not make for great leftovers. The kadai chicken (onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, fresh coriander) was a more mild tasting dish. Enjoyable flavors. I also got the kung pao chicken because of the attractive photo on the website, but it was underwhelming. Tasted fine, but the Indian inspired dishes pack more punch. This place has chicken tikka masala, multiple iterations of naan, biryani, paneer, lamb, samosas, butter chicken (the palm colored people favorite). They also have several grill and wok dishes: tandoori tikka, peri peri lamb, ginger fish, various iterations of lamb chops, various flavors of chicken wings, Szechuan beef, and more. The food was good, especially for delivery. Would not order for delivery again, as table-side would be much better. Great flavors. The place is probably perfect for this area, even if it has a bit of an identity crisis. Is it Indian? Chinese? Doesn't matter. Try it out and determine for yourself. You'll find something tasty for sure!
