Not only is Coriander a wonderful Indian restaurant, it is elegant! We started with the Lasooni Ghobi, a crispy spicy cauliflower curry that was perfectly spiced. My date had the Tandoori Tiger shrimp. The taste and texture were fantastic. I had the Reshmi Malai Kebab. A wonderful boneless chicken dish perfectly cooked in the clay oven with many complimentary spices. We both liked everything we had! A cute small establishment, went on a Friday evening that was not too busy. Easy to walk in. Unfortunately the food overall had smaller sized portions with flavor that barely hits one note. Chana tasted canned and just like it was heated up in a watery curry sauce rather than cooked with intense flavor spice or intention. Lamb saag had a similar lack of lust and flavor. A big miss to be honest and not planning to come back anytime soon, especially with a price of 120$+ for two people. This used to be a good option for Indian food in the area. However, at some point in the summer of 2025 they raised prices on all menu items by 20% across the board. As a regular patron, I was so shocked I asked the manager for confirmation this was not a typo. It seems like either the menu was changed or there is a new chef. But the food is not of the same quality or flavor they had previously. I love Indian cuisine, so when I was searching for a new Indian restaurant in southern Westchester, I was so happy that I came across Coriander. I walked into Coriander on a weekend night without a reservation and was seated relatively quickly, despite the restaurant being pretty busy. Upon sitting down, we were served water and the waitresses brought out complimentary edamame. Our drinks consisted of a mango martini and mango lassi. The mango martini was sweet and smooth. The mango portion had a nice thickness to it and the drink was not overpowering with alcohol. I enjoyed it, but for the amount of drink in the martini glass, it was a bit expensive, in my opinion. To follow up, I ordered a mango lassi and it had to be one of the best mango lassis that I have had in a while. I definitely recommend the mango lassi from Coriander. To start off, I ordered the Street Cart Momos, which are Nepalese dumplings. These little appetizers were amazing and full of flavor that was further enhanced with the small sauce that it was served with. I highly recommend anyone dining here to try the momos. Lastly, as our main course, we ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and Shrimp Vindaloo. I asked the waitress to inform the kitchen that I like my lamb tikka masala spicy. They absolutely delivered when it cane to the spice! The lamb tikka masala tasted amazing. A word of caution, though: if you are not used to eating spicy foods, just order the food normally or ask for it to be mild, because if you ask for spicy, it will definitely be SPICY! My girlfriend ordered the shrimp vindaloo. The shrimp vindaloo tasted great, as well. However, the lamb tikka masala was the winner of the night. As a tip: make sure to order some of the garlic naan to soak up any of the remaining sauces. The proteins come with ample sauce and you will want to enjoy every bit of the sauce with something to soak it up with. Overall, Coriander is an amazing restaurant with great food. I am already looking forward to returning to this restaurant and trying more foods off of their menu. read more

I've been going to Coriander from when they first started. As an Indian, I can assure you their dishes are fresh and delicious!! Shawn and the staff, especially Joe, are always super duper friendly and professional. We are very lucky to live so close to them and to be able to order take out or dine in at their amazing location. They recently updated the decor/paint and it looks incredible. After hearing some good things about this restaurant it being mothers day we decided to give it a try. We had reservations which was a smart idea since the place filled rather quickly. Okay down to the food. We ordered Tandoori Chicken which should have been moist, sadly it was very dry. There was also the Lamb Vindaloo which although very tasty and the level of spice was spot on the meat was very tough, finally the Boti. Again flavorful but the meat was tough. I enjoyed a nice lunch here. It was my first time here, and we started off with chicken Samosa and sweet potato chaat. The chaat was amazing, with nice crisps and chickpeas. The samosas were crisp and well spiced, with a wonderful mint sauce and tamarind. For entrées, we ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. The tikka masala was very good, buttery and creamy. I accidentally received British Style Roganjosh, instead of the korma, and didn't know it. It was very tasty. Our waitress, who was quite nice, came over mShe explained that mine was roganjosh, not korma, and brought me a whole new bowl of chicken korma! I wasn't even aware I had the wrong dish, but I thought that was very honest and nice. So, I got to try chicken Rogan Josh, chicken korma, and chicken tikka masala. All three were very good, and the naan was light and fluffy. Service was great and I really appreciated the honesty in making a mistake. It was a very nice lunch and I will be back. read more

I've been coming here for a very long time. It's always been wonderful but last Saturday night it was way below par. Everything we ordered had been better before. The samosas came out barely warm. The cauliflower app was not worth eating. The mains: Lamb mutter tasted like chopped up hamburger with barely any seasonings. The chicken in the tikka masala was on the tough side. Been a patron off / on for many years. Thursday was enough that I would not return. 1) The new menu was mundane. 2) The "added" Paneer to the spinach - this dish was so salty, there was no getting around it. 3) The chicken in Tika Masala was dry. Added insult to injury: 1) The bill added $1.00 for each glass of wine. Waitress said "a new menu was being made and thats the new price." They wouldn't take it off. 2) They charged a $3.47 " customer service fee" which was for using a credit card (without letting us know). We were told "everyone's doing it." 3) We did not have a chance to read our bill prior to paying and had to ask for a receipt. That's when we saw the underhanded way to charge more. Best Indian Food I have had. They lost a star because the patio seating was awkward with small off balance tables. The yellow jackets were attracted to my mango martini so I drank it quickly to get them away. I did not want to order any other drinks after that. Nats also flew by. The staff did replace the bottled water 3 times so they earned some extra credit in my book with their good service otherwise they would be a 3.5 out of 5. After a 4 hour hike, we met some friends who live in Larchmont for dinner. Located on the main drag of restaurants, this gem knocked out some excellent Indian classics! It actually gave my fave Indian in Manhattan a run for their money. A lot of Indian restaurants make the mistake sweetening the heat and I am not a fan of that one bit! It takes away from the true flavors of the intended dish and loses its identity. Our party of four shared the following : Lamb Biryani- there must have been 40 ingredients that went into this! I tasted the different spices including the turmeric, garam masala, cinnamon,etc). The flavors were intense and amazing. Prob the best biryani I've had to date! Tandoori Chicken- This is IMHO not a super hard dish to do but yet 98% of the Indian restaurants I go to or order seamless from EFF it up!! 98% of the Indian restaurants BURN the Tandoori chicken. What is delivered to the table is a plate of chicken that is covered in black soot. Not very healthy for the patron who is paying some good money for this. Have they not gotten the memo that burnt food is carcinogenic and causes cancer? When I see this, that means to me that the resto isn't paying enough attention to the cooking of their food and more concerned with churning out food quick. Usually when the chicken comes out burnt, that means the meat is DRY also. Props to this resto for executing an EXCELLENT tandoori that was not only juicy but not burnt at all! Lamb Roganjosh - This was not as spicy as I had expected but still super tasty and meat was tender. Gobi - This was basically cauliflower on crack! In Manhattan a lot of places make it on the sweeter side which is fine but I truly appreciated that this place accentuated the heat more than the sweet! Aloo Tikki - This was a great appetizer with a mix of textures. Potato Pancake with curried chickpeas, chutney and yogurt. Loved that they threw in some crispy little dough things that when eaten with the rest was an amazing burst of flavor and texture. Service was good but what I noticed that they didn't do here that most restaurants do when they give you water is give you some papadum or Naan. Here they charged for it. Overall a great experience. Next time I'm in that neck of the woods, would def think of coming back! read more

Just came back from the most amazing lunch meal cooked by chef Rajan from Nepal. His cooking was just perfect. We order the chicken akbari, paneer tikka masala, eggplant chaat, Punjabi calamari, Panera mirch masala and naan. We didn't care for the calamari. Everything else was so good we licked our fingers at the end. We have t enjoyed such aromatic, balanced, tasty food indian food in a while. We will definitely be coming back. The only gripe we had was that they wouldn't serve us spicy margaritas at lunch time while dining Al fresco. But the food made up for it! read more

Food: 5 Stars. The service however was the absolute worst I've had anywhere, so I'm counterbalancing their good reviews with this one. They made a friendly suggestion to order before we were seated since we were waiting a while. Great. Saved no time at all. Our app came shortly after we were seated, without anyone checking in on us for anything other than delivering food, THE WHOLE MEAL. Since we had ordered before seating, they didn't ask for drink orders when we were seated. Annoying but I can understand the confusion. Sorta. Food took forever. No one asked for drink orders throughout the meal, we always had to ask. Wife asked three times for tea. Never got it. Waited 10min for restroom before the manager had to yell at the younger staff (maybe their son) to get out of the bathroom so customers could use it. They gave us our to-go bag before we even asked for the check, and we coulda just walked out without paying. Luckily we're honest. The cobwebs on the dining room's main decorative features was a nice touch though, if only it were Halloween. Get your s**t together, you have amazing food!!! read more

Perfect place to bring a date or as a group. The host was very warm and accommodating. My server "Ken" was very helpful and recommendations were just devine. First round of dishes consisted of "Chicken Lasooni Tacos"(Shredded Curried Chicken, Garlic,Tomato Vierge Sauce, Red Onion, Corn Tortilla), Chicken Samosa" ( Lightly Spiced Potato, Masala Spiced Ground Chicken), "Delhi Aloo Poori" all were magnificent dishes in their own right. Entree, I opted for the Tandoori Chicken, it was served with Lemon Rice and "Punjabi Daal Tadka" (Yellow Lentil). Sooo delicious! I ended my dinner with "Sugar & Spice Poori for dessert. Who knew the warmth and welcome of India was just down the road. It's been a long time coming but eventually I would have tried it. I just wish I had been sooner! Coriander is a family run restaurant which feels like being invited to their home with such hospitality. They are also tech forward with menus on iPads that don't alienate those who don't know what a certain dish might be. A very nice and surprising touch. We happened to sit outside on a very pleasant evening where it's quieter, thanks to it being packed at 9:30pm on a Saturday! But winter is coming so this won't last long. As for food, my theory is, if you want to know how good a place is, try the chicken, and that's what I did. I ordered the Reshmi kebab. Our table obviously got a number of dishes, which were all very good. Two things blew me away, the portion and the level of marinade that didn't take away from the taste and texture of the meat, really well done! I was hooked at first bite. The paneer tikka was equally good. There's a small bar area which is quite cozy to get some apps and drinks if you don't manage to get a table. This way you can chat with the family too! As it gets colder I will return very soon for some lamb and a nice red wine and reminisce about the old country! read more

This is probably my fav Indian restaurant in lower Westchester. A bit pricey, but the meals are super delicious. A nice, intimate dining experience for those who love ethnic food. I updated my rating down a star because we recently made a reservation for outdoor seating, but when we arrived, they said we weren't in their books and couldn't seat us outside because the heating lamps weren't working. Nothing was offered to compensate for the misunderstanding and inconvenience. Lack of accountability as well. :/ read more

As an Indian, I can tell you the food is average. It was good when it first opened but the quality of the food has slowly gone downhill. More importantly two in our group that had ordered fish fell violently ill later that night. Wow! I am so pleased to have found you, Coriander! Though I'm surprised to find you in Larchmont, I'm thrilled you're a mere 8 minutes' walk from my house. I've finally found the British Indian cuisine I've been missing since we've left London. Every single item on the menu is fab, and we always leave happy. The hostess - Ankita, sister of the owner - is awesome and my baby boy loves the attention he gets from her. The staff are sweet and it is an overall brilliant experience every time. My Mum-in-law, who doesn't eat anything that has flavour, ate her meal like it was her last one on earth; I was shocked at how she didn't miss a crumb and she typically can't handle spicy foods. As you walk up to the restaurant, the aroma of Brick Lane will flood your senses. I'm so happy to have found a little slice of London here in Larchmont! read more

Ever since we found this restaurant a year ago, we have been coming back on a regular basis. The food here is exceptional. You can't go wrong with their curries - they are all great. Some of my favorite dishes here are vegetable based - Eggplant Chaat, Saag Paneer (creamed spinach), Curried Chickpeas, Jaipuri Bhindi (crispy okra), and Dal Makhani (lentils). Pair them with curries, basmati rice, and a refreshing bowl of cucumber Raita on the side and you have a proper Indian feast. Highly recommend. read more
