I really liked it, but it was in a sad shape. There was a gooey residue on the barrel that would sometimes leave imprints on peoples clothes if they brushed up against it. And the barrel hoops kept falling down. Chicago fabrications brought the barrel back to life. They did an excellent job sanding and staining the barrel and cleaning up the metal hoops and fastening them so they would no longer slip down the barrel. And all that residue is gone. It looks like a million bucks and I would definitely recommend them for any projects you may be thinking of

They repaired some semaphore signal lens rings, fabricated a new running board for my Fairmont speeder, and did other stuff for me. I googled to see if they're still around, and I was happy to find they're still in the same location 41 years later. The folks at JB were patient and good listeners. They did exactly what I asked, and always finished on time. Their charges were reasonable, and I never found anything to complain about. I wish there were more businesses like JB Metal Works.
