I mean, I always do buy something but that isn't my intentions all the time, especially if I'm just in the area. Of course if I drive out here, there are intentions but if my GPS so happens to take me near here on my travels, I stop in. They have some classes that are good to attend so be on the lookout for their events. Usually, I'm coming for the whiskey, rum, vodkas because I can get the wine at a closer location but this is the only place I can get both in this area so I appreciate it. Plus, the outside looks like an old, spooky house turned into a liquor store...kinda sketchy. The inside is extremely small and they have a very limited supply of wine, beer, and spirits. On a positive note, there's plenty of on-site parking and good lighting so you do feel safe walking in and out. Not sure if the guy standing by the door was there to stop shoplifters or to control how many people came in and out cause of Covid, but it didn't make me feel any safer. He was very nice tho! However, I decided to go and avoid any of the issues that other people have experienced, such as "no large purses and don't bring your own bag". Lo and behold, when I called they had what I was looking for and for a decent price. The person who answered the call confirmed that they had a number of the product available, so I went the following day. When I arrived, I was still concerned about the visit. I didn't know where the product was located, so I asked security for assistance. He walked me to the product. I got the product and went straight to the checkout counter. It was a quick and easy visit. I saw another item for a great price that I would have purchased, but I decided to keep the visit short and sweet. It appears to be a well organized store with a large variety of items. I would possibly return for something specific.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The salesman I dealt with was rude and nonchalant throughout the interaction. What was even more frustrating was that my prepaid order was apparently canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was not properly informed about the cancellation, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse. I understand that issues can happen with orders, but I expect customers to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially when there is a problem with an order that has already been placed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope Lax and Wine & Spirits takes this feedback seriously and provides better customer service and communication in the future.
