One of my favorite bourbon/whiskey places in the area! I've been coming for years and I get to learn about different brands. I like when they do Whiskey Wednesday tastings. It's not a weekly event but possibly biweekly. Follow their social media page to get current updates! The happy hour specials are great! Service is consistent! Paula at the bar always provides excellent service. Thank you! Oh and the bread pudding is amazing!

    Assorted sauce were all great!

First time visitors. I wanted to do 3.5 stars, but that is not an option. Upon entry, we were greeted by the woman in the Ice Kream shop. Loved her. She said she was new, so she couldn't serve us, but she did seat us. I mainly Deducted stars because the sides (Mac, green beans, collards) lacked flavor and the Mac n cheese tasted sour. Not sure what that was about. Now, the cornbread to me was a little on the dry side, but maybe it needed to be a little warmer. The food was not fresh off the smoker or pan hot, but it was lukewarm warm and edible. Now, my guy says the ribs were good. He is a superfoodie, so for him to say so, I let it ride. We could agree on the other sides though. The baked beans he says were great! Again, I differed, but that could be because I don't do beef. The atmosphere was pretty quiet. By the time we ordered, it was only one or two tables, so I am not sure why it took so long for the food to come out. Once it arrived, it was go time. The sauces were awesome! The chicken was moist and the green beans were buttery, but that's all. Now, I will be honest. The salmon dishes looked delicious so before I count this Smokehouse out, I will revisit and update my review accordingly. The good thing is, the waitress was pleasant and she was very patient.

I have now utilized Kloby's Catering for two 100 person events and have been pleased both times. Kloby's Catering completed the delivery on time and included utensils for serving. Our crowds raved over the BBQ Brisket, Smoked bbq Chicken thighs, the Brisket Baked Beans and the Cucumber & Onion salad, as well as the Mac & Cheese. Working with Elizabeth & Jeremy is such a pleasant experience for catering, you'll have to dine in savor the selection of bbq sauces and weekly lunch specials as well.

This was my first time here and decided to come for happy hour; however, I ordered off their Fat Tuesday menu. I ordered the Boudin Balls (Cajun sausage, rice, and creole mustard sauce) they were delicious with the right amount of spice. I also ordered the Oyster PoBoy. The spicy slaw on the PoBoy was amazing! I wanted to try the Hurricane, but it was lacking some alcohol so I also ordered a Manhattan from the happy hour menu and it was good. Service was good and fast and our waiter was friendly. This is a good space to come and watch games. As they have huge TVs throughout the bar area and a nice amount of seating. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some BBQ.

Klobys is always at the top of my list if I want to enjoy and explore different bourbons and whiskey. I recently found out the restaurant is under new ownership. Same great service and good food.

Oh I recommend!! Smoked turkey is delicious! The place was busy, I just had takeout and the smoked turkey and fries hit the spot. Hearty serving and crispy fries. The bread pudding was ok. A little thick and dense without enough sauce. Maybe ask more sauce. The space for pickup was clean and right up front. I can see the size of this restaurant will accommodate large size parties easily. I'd return!

Came in for late lunch before grocery shopping. Not to many people on this hot day with a few outside. It's hot today so I don't understand the reasoning for eating outside but hey it is there if you want to do it. I ordered the corn fritter bites as an appetizer and the meatloaf stack for an entree. Well the stack is not a summer item but it is still on the menu. Therefore I must make a change. Let me add my waitress is very nice. I decided to go with the chili bowl which is mashed potatoes, chili, cheddar cheese, bacon and onion straws. We are bold. Here are the bites that came out piping hot. They are tasty little bites of fried sweetness. You are given a lot enough for two. So it you are having an entree share them or not if you are greedy. Chili bowl came and it was hot as well. The chili is bland tasting so I added pepper and hot sauce. I would say that it is slightly better than canned. I should not have done it but I'm a sucker for bread pudding. And I got it. Oh that was good made up for the chili bowl. Well I'm feeling generous so 4 stars.

    BRISKET CHEESESTEAK -- amazing!

I don't dine at barbecue chains very often since I try to watch my diet, but I was happy to find plenty of options that weren't overly greasy, fried, or smothered in sauce. The meats are slow-smoked, and a variety of house barbecue sauces are conveniently available at each table so you can customize the flavor to your liking. Parking is easy, with a large free lot behind the building as well as free street parking nearby. We visited on a Friday afternoon with a group of 10 and were seated together without any problem. They also accommodated separate checks, which is always appreciated for larger groups. The dining room has a comfortable, spacious feel with dark wood accents and nostalgic photos and posters decorating the walls. The menu offers a good variety of barbecue favorites, combination platters, salads, and lunch specials. One member of our group needed gluten-free options, and the staff helped her find a meal that worked well for her dietary needs. Most of us ordered the pulled pork sandwich, while others chose salads. We also shared the onion loaf appetizer, which disappeared quickly. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Our server was covering several tables, so service was a little slow at times, but she remained friendly, attentive, and handled our requests professionally. The portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the quality exceeded my expectations. I'd happily return with family to sample more of their smoked meats--especially the ribs.

I normally get the beef brisket either sandwich or entree, which comes with cornbread, and mac n' cheese or beans. Brisket you can get lean or moist. Moist is even more delicious, but less healthy than lean. Also, there are 6 varieties of BBQ sauces. My favorites are Texas Twang & West Virginia one. They have a Maryland style, which is a pretty good effort. There's also Carolina, Mississippi, & one other one. Good BBQ is hard to come by in MD, but Mission BBQ is always a great choice. Their blueberry clobber is incredible too, which I got a couple of times for free around Valentine's Day. Staff has always been nice at the Laurel location. Also, they support the troops & first responders. On 9/11 anniversary, they get a free sandwich that day. In 2024, my conservative dad also told me that at Noon everyday, they do the National Anthem. I asked my dad follow-up questions: Me: "Walked in at 12:05. Wonder if they still do that. Never heard them do before, but never was here exactly at 12. Do people stand up for national anthem at 12 even if they are in the middle of eating? Dad: "Yes" Me: "Does everyone stand up, or do some stay seated as they don't want their food to get cold or whatever?" Dad: "The employees stop working. Everyone except liberals stand up. They all face the flag waving on the TV until it is done. Many clap at the end of cheer." Me: "Oh wow, that's cool. So you do see some liberals stay seated?" Dad: "Just kidding on that." Me: "Oh and is it at every location? Like does Laurel, MD & all of them do it?" Dad: "All of them" Another time I arrived just before noon, which was nice as everyone stood up to put their hand on their heart while National Anthem is played. In 2024, my friend had a differing opinion from my dad on this noon National Anthem: Me: "Just missed National Anthem. My dad said Mission BBQ does at Noon everyday. I've never been right at noon." Him: "I would be pissed if I was in the middle of eating and had to stand up for national anthem." Me: "I hope I'm there one day so I can participate." Him: "Dealbreaker for an early lunch there for me." Me: "Liberals eat late. Conservatives eat first." Him: "Yeah they should have the conservatives eat at 11:30 and the libs eat at 12:30." Overall, I highly recommend Mission BBQ for the great food and friendly service.

The table behind me said they saw something too. I told the server, Andrew and he offered to give us a discount and admitted to having a mouse issue lately. That should have been the warning sign for me but we just got our food. I kept looking over and I didn't see anything but Andrew placed the broom and dust pan near where the mouse was. So I got up to get some cream puffs and as I about to sit down, the mouse came back and I told Andrew and he got the broom and dust pan and caught the mouse and killed it and proceeded to have us pay. This is what really ticked me off. I went to the front before we left and asked to speak to a manager. The girl looked and then looked over at her friend (who probably wasn't the manager) and said here she is. I told her what happened and she said "yeah sorry, we have someone coming next week and he didn't kill the mouse, he let the mouse go right outside". SERIOUSLY? That mouse is coming right back inside! This is a problem that pest control needs to come out IMMEDIATELY! I just watched a mouse get killed/caught while trying to eat! I stopped and lost my complete appetite. I will be informing the PG county health department immediately and I will never come back here if this is how they operate. My schedule was rearranged last minute on a Saturday so I decided to catch their brunch. The laurel location was the closest to me. I was able to reserve a spot at the bar on open table about an hour before arrival . It must have been a lucky day for me because there were plenty vacancies and I didn't need to make a reservation. There was live jazz playing. I sat at the bar - shout out to Nnamdi who was the bartender and my waiter. Food wise: brunch only offers the $55 unlimited food option for two hours. I was completely fine with this as I was able to taste multiple dishes. I had the fried deviled eggs, Rockefeller oysters, bang bang shrimp, deep fried snow crab legs, pork chop and grits, wings in hot honey lemon pepper (their signature sauce) and the white chocolate bread pudding I enjoyed everything except the deep fried crab legs. The cluster was hallow. I had more fried batter than crab meat. Deviled eggs were my favorite of all the things I tried. And the bread pudding was sinfully delicious . I wasn't able to finish my last two items ordered but luckily I was able to fit it in the to-go box. Most places that serve unlimited food don't allow to-go boxes so I was happy to not have my leftovers go to waste. I opted for the bottomless cocktails as well. I stuck to the mimosas and tried the different flavors. The pours were generous. Nnamdi was very attentive and I appreciate him answering all of my clarifying questions as it was my first time. Gratuity is included! I am excited to go back! Before leaving I ordered a cocktail (MisKiri IX) that wasn't included in the bottomless cocktails. It was good. Honestly it seemed like she was trying to get me my food on time, but management should have been called to solve this problem and ensure I didnt leave the restaurant with collard greens missing all their juices. I didnt know what exactly happened with tje packaging, so since I was told the problem was "fixed", I took my food and left. The worst part was the deviled egg appetizer. Another casualty of the kitchen, apparently. It looked unappetizing when I got home and opened it, and the crab topping that I paid an extra $3 for gave off a very strong smell (reminiscent of the kitchen of a seafood restaurent) and also appeared wet. I'd guess they took crab straight from a can, put it on top of the eggs, and covered it with old bay seasoning. Very disappointing. Sadly these were not the only issues, as the collard greens themselves were bland and a little tough. There was also a wooden stick in my greens?? Not sure why. Although the catfish was fried well, that's the only satisfactory thing about this experience, and everything else ruined it.
