Horrible customer service! The female manager is confrontational and rude! We spend over $2000 on equipment and "the best binding you can" buy broke! It's a warranty issue and we had to take the board in multiple times, call with random info only to have her speak so inconsiderately and confrontationally to myself and and my teenage son upon our second trip in! I am surprised that this place is still in business. They have next to nothing in stock. The only pro decks they have are 7.50 or 7.75. Also their clothing selection is a joke. I use to come to this place every now and again for the last 16 years, but I took a 7 year hiatus on Skateboarding to focus on school. I am trying to get back into the skate scene and told the owner it's my first time in this store in years. Instead of welcoming me back, he just said in a judgemental tone "where have you been". I thought it was a weird comment, but I just shook it off. I was considering to buy some Emerica's but I didn't like any of the colorways, and during this time the owner came up to me twice and started getting pushy with me. He asked me if I bought stuff online I said "yeah sometimes" and he told me I was a waste of his time and kicked me out of his store. Now I am all for support your local skate shop, but sometimes when money is tight online is the way to go. Also this isn't my local shop. I live a hour away! So long story short spend your money elsewhere. The owner is very unprofessional and clearly doesn't know how to run a business let alone a skate shop. read more

Corky's has been around for many years, supplying the lonely and young eastsider with skate supplies and apparel since before Vans Warped Tour existed. They have an excellent selection of apparel, so much so that they are as much a clothing store as a skate shop. They have a giant wall of hats and shoes. They carry a large selection of men's and women's pants, tops, jackets, hoodies, and anything else you could think of. I don't skate, but just seeing the volume of decks trucks wheels and other random gear, I'd definitely check out their selection. Anyone I know who skates goes to Corky's, even though there's a few other shops around town that do the same sort of thing. The only thing I would suggest is, don't shop at Corky's unless you have the cash to burn. It's not cheap, and they rarely offer sales. You could end up paying $60 for a hoodie... but it'd be a really sweet hoodie! read more

This place sucks!! I went in there to buy a pair of trucks and walked out with nothing. I asked for a pair of Thunders and the girl behind the counter picked up about five different brands before she got it right. And it turned out that the trucks were $70, I can get the same ones down the street at Board 2 Death for ten bucks cheaper! The staff fallowed me around the whole store trying to get me to buy stuff I didn't even want! Everything there is over priced and the staff is VERY pushy. I wouldn't recommend Corky's to anybody! read more

Last Summer I decided I wanted to take up skating again, for the first time in about 10 years. I was thinking about maybe getting a longboard. I stopped in at Corky's and the staff there was very helpful! I didn't know much about longboards, and they helped me choose a good one. I've been very happy with my purchase and the service I received there. Even if you don't skate, they have a great selection of clothes and accessories that you won't find in your normal chain stores like Pacific Sunwear and the like. It really saddens me that I have to write this about this store. I used to go to this store when I was younger...Yeah the prices were high but you couldn't find it anywhere else. I used to love this store. The staff used to be chill & friendly... Not my last visit. I haven't skated in 10+ years. I was looking to get back into it. I told the salesmen that I wanted to try longboarding. Boy did he try to shove these boards down my throat! I have never EVER been so pressured to buy something in my life. Not even a car!! He started to get very aggervated with me because I did not want to buy the specific board he wanted me to. He kept telling me that I should NOT look around at other stores. I should put a deposit down RIGHT AWAY! RIGHT NOW! THESE BOARDS ARE SELLING LIKE HOT CAKES! This guy made me feel like I had to buy the skateboard in order to get out of the store. Finaly he left me alone & I was able to get out of the store without talking to him more. He also said that they had a wide variety of longboards.. Well he does not. I only saw maybe 3 brands. Not a big selection. Now I will be doing all my buisness with Tactics because they have awesome customer help. read more
