This made ALL the difference in getting a good wash because the automatic washes don't get certain corners or spots on your car and having employees there to give some specific scrub downs before you went through ensured you'd get a good wash. Apparently the upper management has done away with this (even though they still keep a scrub brush and barrel of water) because it takes too much time per car coming through. This seems ironic to be concerned about as I've ever waited in a line here. I tried calling today to give some feedback as the employee said this was a common frustration from other customers but I was hung up on by Tonio after waiting several minutes. Bummer! I think it's time to take our business elsewhere.

I parked my car on the gravel behind "Slim Olson's", where other cars were parked. There was no sign of me breaking the law. Afterall, obviously "St George Express" and "Slim Olson's" have an agreement or understanding that cars will be parked here with it being a designated meeting point for riders. My car is a nice car and obviously wasn't a breakdown. It had been parked there out of the way on Saturday Oct 27 at 12:20pm and I returned to pick it up Monday Oct 29 7pm and to my surprise it was gone.

The attended told me that I needed to go park up by the propane tank because "thats where they look for ya". After waiting up at the tank for about five minutes I pushed the call attendant button, I was told that they had already sent someone up, waited another five minutes for the attendant to come up and fill my tank. After he'd filled it I followed him back down to the store to pay. The attendant there barked my total at me and after I'd paid thew my recipt across the counter to me.. In fact,…read moreI've been working with Slim's from a time when I would walk in and do no more than mention out corporate account number. Today, I showed up and yet again their card readers won't recognize/read my card (a circumstance unique to Slim Olsen's) and an event so frequent that most of the cashiers recognize their equipment problems as a known issue. After waiting for the cashier to offer me a moments attention, I explain the issue with the card reader and ask him to open the pump. He explains to me that because the card didn't read, he would be uncomfortable letting me get gas. Not sure what level of discernment he's utilizing but i have all my teeth, comb my hair, dress well and have a vehicle that should afford me the benefit of any doubt. So, I left and said that, I won't be back. By the look of things, I don't think I'm the first to write Slim's off; there's just not the customers that there used to be. The reviews speak for themselves. I can appreciate that people may take advantage of a gas station but when you treat a loyal customer as though he's a common criminal you're embarking on a bad and very short term business model. And two minutes later at a nearby Chevron, using the exact same card, at a much lower price, I filled my tank and felt happy about it.
