Usually at convenience stores, you get the grouchy person at the counter who would rather be smoking than working. Not here. Every time I have ran in for a fountain drink, the person at the counter is friendly and overtime, they build relationship with their clientele. They have come to recognize me and treat me like a member of their family. I wish I could justify spending the extra money to do more shopping here. The occasional fill on gas and fountain drink will have to do.

I love the Nitro card that lets me earn double points that I can apply to free gas cards - or I can try my luck at entering their drawings for boats, trucks, snowmobiles...all manner of toys. It's always a mice surprise when I get my bonus free drink or bonfire snack at the register. (I think every 10th is free) And my dirty little secret...I REALLY like Maverik's egg rolls....enough that I will drive to a Maverik JUST to get an egg roll. Is my palate taking 3 steps back, or are these egg rolls really good? LOL I have no explanation, only rationalizations. I have avoided this location because the exterior appearance looks a bit run down. I had expected a typical gas station convenience store feel but the store was well organized and fairly clean. It had a similar feel to the newer Maverick locations. Located on Main Street in Layton, it is easiest to access as you are heading south, though there is a turn lane if trying to access from the North. The parking lot is small but when I went, there wasn't any issues finding a spot to park. The employee helping me was extremely friendly and welcoming. I may need to start coming to this location more often.
