I got called in about an hour and 10 minutes after I put my name on the list. The inside is as rustic as the exterior, and I do appreciate the character of the place. The menu is what you expect with all the Southern staples and many sides. I ordered the half dozen grilled shrimp plate, a single fillet of blacked catfish, side of fried okra and rice. I must say the proteins disappointed me the cat fish was way over salted and not cooked well. The shrimp were also very salty and lacking in any other seasoning. The highlight were the hush puppies and okra! I also got the chocolate cobbler for dessert, skip this unless you kind chunks of chocolate sheet cake mixed with grocery store pudding. All in all this place should be on your list for the experience and it's history--but only if you don't have to wait more than 15 minutes.
