We have gone to the Corner Bagel for years and loved it. However, for the past year it has steadily gone downhill. On our last visit both of our orders came to the table wrong. I went to the drink bar for a piece of lemon and the container was empty. I asked the girl at the counter for a lemon and she said, "we're working on it!" She finally brought the container back to the bar and returned to the counter without a word (passive aggressive). Also, there was a workman with saw, hammer and staple gun working on the trash cabinet. Besides the help being snippy, the service being less than, they are usually out of several kinds of bagels. They changed the website a few months ago for online ordering and it no longer works to be able to make bulk bagel orders. I advised them of the issue shortly after the change but it remains unresolved more than three months later. It would not be so bad if they would answer the phone to take an order. Corner Bagel is a cute, homey little shop located in a small strip of stores. The parking lot looks really cramped and tight, but there's actually a larger lot behind. You can only come in through the main road I believe, so don't go turning into a side road thinking there's a different entrance. You can also walk in from the back parking lot, it's just a labyrinth of hallways and storage rooms. You even pass through the kitchen and might catch a glimpse of some homemade bagel action going on. The menu is located in a board above the "kitchen" in the front. There's also menus located on the counter strewn about. It's a relatively large menu, enough to satisfy your sandwich or your bagel cravings. All the sandwiches come with their signature bagel chips. They are simply thinly cut bagels that are baked? or fried? and they taste pretty good. They almost remind me of the Stacy's pita chips, but bagel shaped of course. There's fresh bread loaves for sale in the front of the store and fresh muffins behind the counter. I got the lox bagel. A classic staple of any bagel shop: bagel, cream cheese, cured salmon, capers, and thinly sliced onions. I got the garlic bagel since it seemed the everything was out. While the sandwich was good, it wasn't one of my favorite nova lox bagels I've had. The bagels were a little chewier than I'd like. There were too many capers and large blobs of cream cheese that overwhelmed everything and I ended up having to scrape stuff out. My boyfriend's sandwich looked good, and the portions of bagel chips were good. He got the spicy rascal, I think. He said it was actually pretty spicy, though they ran out of the bread that it usually came with. They substituted it with a sourdough bread instead. Last time I came, the chips were extremely hard, but this time around they were crispy and not hard on your teeth. The tables are dirty more often than not, but it's not really their job to service the table besides bringing the food over. Overall, it's a good place for lunch or breakfast, it's not super special and innovative. It's a simple bagel shop that is there to fulfill the bagel shaped hole in your stomach. read more

Without making a scene, I pointed the hair to a young lady behind the counter. She asked, "Do you want another bagel?". I declined because finding a hair in my food kills my appetite. That was it.
