They had displays of donuts on the counter and served your meal on an oval china plate. I remember them fondly and when they went out of business in Knoxville years ago, my father bought their donut machine at auction. So, didn't really get to have the full Pal's experience. Ordered the chili burger which was delicious and huge! Also got an unsweetened tea and a Mr. Enough (local herbal drink). All were good. We did have a local with us who assured us that everything is tasty there. Unfortunately, we only experienced a super limited menu, but had terrific service.
