The Corner Pocket is dead. Long live the Corner Pocket! New owners took over in November 2025 and have quickly alienated loyal regulars, increased jukebox prices, blocked metal rock & roll and hip hop songs, hired "little hotties" instead of competent bartenders, eliminated full-time jobs, cancelled in-house pool tournaments, and even ran off the Sunday night APA pool league! They added a few big TV's though. The thing they are missing is that people can watch big TVs at home. Customers come to the Corner Pocket for something unique, forged over decades. What made the Corner Pocket so special is going away fast. If you can tolerate non-stop country music, don't appreciate a diverse local crowd, hate low-key dive bar vibes, embrace higher prices, reject friendly games of pool, and detest the warm camaraderie of local folks, then maybe the new "Cornered Pocket" is your kind of place now... Went in on a Friday night. Two bartenders. Maybe 20 people inside. Dj playing good music and then a cute blonde girl was singing. Taco guy outside. We definitely enjoyed that and the dude was so so cool! The brunette bartender was super cool(maybe in her late 40's early 50's) looks Hispanic...then there was the younger-ish(maybe mid 40's) very big blonde woman wearing.....FLIP FLOPS behind a bar(total safety issue and bizarre) and paying too much attention to one man sitting at the bar to even walk over and get our drinks. The brunette woman was hustling and getting everyone everything while the very big blonde woman just stood there flirting with one customer. The brunette can handle that place solo and the blonde should just go home with her man or something... lol. She even made a motion to our group like "get out" when we were leaving meanwhile the brunette thanked us with a smile. I have known of this place for a while. It was my grandfathers go to place. Even years after he quit drinking he would go just for the company and the kindness of the locals and amazing bartenders Alexis and Mo. My grandfather sadly passed away January 30 2022 and the bar helped me put together a Memorial in his memory. It turned out amazing and I couldn't have done it without the help of the bar staff and locals. You want a small bar experience where you feel at home this is it. Was introduced to this place by a friend and we've been frequenting this place lately usually around the earlier hours mostly due to our work schedule since it consists of night hours. Every time we've been there are usually a decent amount of people just hanging out. We go there to play pool and have drinks and pool is free until 4pm. We aren't usually there that long but they have reasonable drink prices and more than likely will keep coming back. Free pool, nice atmosphere for a dive bar and the locals are nice and the staff is nice and welcoming. Haven't gone at night or when they might be busier so don't know how the atmosphere is around there but so far can't complain at all and will keep coming back and willing to see how it is during different hours then I have attended to. read more

Let me start off by saying, the Cleanest Dive bar. You walk in and immediately get that Cheers feeling, everyone knows everyone. Bartenders are amazing, drink prices ARE the cheapest around. This is the kind of place you go to get f'd up and forget your problems or hang out with friends and drink on the cheap. It is a dive bar, no pretenses no bullshit. They have plenty of liquor choices and the most popular stuff on tap. Its cash-only, but they have an ATM on site. Food? There's a menu of sorts, but nothing beyond stuff they heat up or chips and pizza. I've seen people bring outside food in though. What's great is depending on the night, you'll see a pretty eclectic mix of people there. It isn't a "biker bar" or a "hipster bar" or whatever. Its pretty casual, and people are generally friendly. They have pool tournaments on Saturday's and Monday's. However, only go if you want to get chewed out by the lady who runs the tournaments, Renee. Mary and the owner are personal she lets Renee go anything. She is one of the rudest people I have ever met. The owner and his girlfriend Mary are EXTREMELY unprofessional and have no respect for their customers. They also treat their regulars like garbage. Regulars are 99% of there customer base. It's like a weird dysfunctional family that plays favorites when it's convenient for them. Customer service? They don't know what that is. I've never experienced worse customer service at a bar before. I'm from Las Vegas too. I've worked in the industry. Soo terrible. Service is very slow. I never complain I try to always be respectful. My boyfriend and I go here ALLLL of the time. My bf has been going ten years and I've been going there for two years since i moved here from Las Vegas . We are always polite, respectful and tip quite well. Definitely not trouble makers and get along with everyone. Today I ordered 2 water's and a 7up. He orders beer. We were there playing the tournament today for a few hours. I was walking in and out with my non alcoholic beverages the whole time I was there. When we were cashing out our tab after the tournament. Mary calls on me to come around and talk to her. She started lecturing and accusing me of stealing her glass and drinking alcohol outside of the bar. Talking at me like I was a child In front of all the customers. She treated me like I was some one timer she didn't know or trust. Assume I was purposely doing something wrong, I was liar, and a thief. My drink was soda and water. She poured them. I left crying and feeling disrespected. This is by far my favorite bar to go to. I am not usually in to going out to bars, but I go here almost every week. The bartenders are all awesome, and you cant beat the prices. Having only 2 pool tables and going on a friday or saturday can sometimes be a drag, but almost everyone I've ran into there is really friendly. It totally has that hole in the wall dive bar feel, but on most night I see a younger crowd, so there are a lot of people to meet there. And again, you cant beat the prices. My friend and I went in last week for Monday night football and were extremely impressed by the security guard that greeted us at the door. He was friendly and personable as he held the door open for us. Throughout the night we noticed he did this for all who came in that night. Later we learned, after watching him clear and wipe tables, empty ash trays etc, that he went by the name of "D". I am a retail manager myself and would consider myself blessed if I had an employee like him on my team. He displayed the qualities of a team player a hard worker and excellent customer service skills.
