We immediately shut it off and saw a huge puddle of oil under the van. He had left the old oil filter gasket under the new one, which resulted in an oil blow out. Jack came to us and replaced the filter and oil which we graciously thanked him for. Since then our engine has had a horrible knocking noise which was determined to be rod knock by another mechanic. We discovered Jack had also overfilled our oil this time by 2 quarts. We towed it in to Jacks only for him to attempt to say it's fine, just leave. We refused, and he finally agreed to look it over. A day later he said he could fix it by "thickening the oil" (that just hides the noise) I told him it needs an honest repair, not a bandaid. He refused, so we're towing the van out and initiating a lawsuit. Jack can talk a nice talk, but when push comes to shove, he will stab you in the back. Watch out for this shop

When I arrived home I discovered that both back doors were disassembled with parts covering the floor (see photos). They were closed for the weekend so I had to rent a vehicle for my family as my van was now only a 2 seater. And I'd be without the vehicle again to get the door reassembled. They reimbursed me $39 for my inconvenience (their stated cost to put the doors back together). Months later I was shown (see photos) that they reversed the wiring for the brake light & turn signal.
