As a first time customer, Peak Auto was a great experience - I have an Audi and I usually go to the dealer for its annual oil change etc., and a stranger recommended Peak Auto to me, so I decided to give them a chance, and I wasn't disappointed. When it was discovered that my car would need to stay the night for additional work, they delivered a loaner car directly to my house with all the paperwork filled out, and, overall, the experience was great. They provided video coverage of the recommended work as well as an itemized overview (of what needed to be done), and they didn't overcharge. I've had a consistently disappointing experience with Peak Euro Auto Service. To start, their pricing is excessive for even basic services. Whether it's an oil change or a routine repair, they seem to overcharge compared to other reputable shops. I've only returned to because I like to give benefit of the doubt. Do me wrong once, it's on me. Do me wrong twice ok now things are suspect but a third time? Nah. We're done. This is a fair warning to others and a request that the business NOT reach out to us but to JUST DO BETTER. An additional concern is their lack of thoroughness. They don't conduct comprehensive diagnostics or up to date scans for error codes and engine issues, which is unacceptable for any professional auto service, let alone one that charges a premium. How do I pay nearly a grand for service and the engine check light is still on? Then when pointed out, tell the customer to bring the car back in for a few days? No. I plan on taking my business elsewhere. Any attentive and competent mechanic should have caught this blatantly obvious error code. Any truly customer centered business would offer to fix this issue then and there without additional charge. Their record-keeping is sloppy at best, making it hard to trust their recommendations or have any sense of continuity with vehicle history. Another customer was almost double charged because they failed to notate he made a payment over the phone before he picked up his vehicle. They failed to provide specific cost break downs (we have the receipts), instead lumping everything in to general charges and making it easy to over charge. If you value transparent pricing, accurate diagnostics, excellent customer service, and careful record keeping, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Peak Euro Auto Service has been a frustrating and costly experience I wouldn't repeat. read more

I took my BMW in for an oil change, and waited for the car to be serviced. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting room and the friendliness and helpful attitude from the staff. When they were done with the service, they asked me if I'd like to come to the service bay and see the underside of my car. I declined, because it would mean nothing to me, but I know so many people would love that opportunity! Without pressure for immediate repairs, they gave me a very thorough printout of possible problems that may arise. After getting my 2018 BMW 328d xDrive back from another shop, it was leaking oil. I was reluctant to take it back there, so I shopped around and found Peak Euro. They had good reviews and another person I know with an Audi uses them for service. They identified two places it was leaking and quoted me over $3,000 to fix them both. I had them fix the main problem first, which was over $2,500. The leak, which had been substantial was reduced to a few drops. I went ahead with the second issue, which was over $500. When I got it back, I didn't even make it home before the car indicated I needed to add oil. When I got home, I filled it to spec with oil. I laid out clean cardboard in my garage and parked it for about 2-3 hours. I then looked at the cardboard and it had significant oil on it. I sent an email to Peak Euro, which is the method we had been communicating. After 24+ hours I haven't heard anything from them. Usually they would get back to me within a few hours. Imagine how frustrated I must be to get my car back and have it leaking oil worse than when I delivered it to them. They had it for almost a week after they said it had been repaired. Apparently nobody thought to check to see if it was leaking oil after they "repaired" it. I'm incredibly disappointed with them and cannot recommend them to anyone for service or repairs. We had an amazing experience with the team at Peak Euro. Our car broke down in the middle of nowhere 70 miles outside of Bend in the first 1/2 of a 14 hour drive back to San Francisco. We got a tow truck to the shop and made it 10 minutes before they closed. We called them before we came by and the woman we spoke to on the phone was very kind, as was the gentleman we met at the shop while dropping it off (unfortunately I have roadtrip brain and can't remember their names). We had to spend a night in Bend so they could repair the car the next day, but we were able to relax despite the circumstances knowing our car was in great hands. The price for the work was extremely reasonable and they had us back on the road by 2pm the day after we dropped the car off. Overall, we could not be happier to have found Peak Euro and wish we had shops like this closer to home. read more

These guys, and especially Jim and Derek, are seriously the best. All the wrong things happened at the same time this last week. While on vacation we, family of four with two car seats, got evacuated out of the McKenzie River area because of the Holiday Farm Fire, which meant our brake appointment in Eugene was canceled and we couldn't get through to there. We were heading straight home to California. Then we discovered that our brake problem was worse than we had previously thought, so we had to make an emergency stop to get them checked. Les Schwab turned us away after diagnosing the problem as bare brake pads, telling us to get it to the shop ASAP or we would have to tow it. The VW dealer was booked for over a week in advance. I called Peak Euro, got their voicemail (it was close to end of day) and didn't even leave a message because it was a bit of a flustering day. But Jim gave me a call back the next morning just to check up (!!!), and got us scheduled as quick as he could. I dropped the car off at the place, needing a ride back to our hotel, and they had a COMPLEMENTARY LOANER for our family of four to get by around town while we waited, so at least we weren't stranded in Bend. They handled our expectations well. It was possible we would have to wait almost a week for the parts to come in, what with all the fires closing up the highways and whatnot, so they asked us to prepare for the worst just in case parts took a long time to get there. But in the end, we had dropped our car off on Wednesday afternoon and they had it running and working and braking (new rotors and new pads) on Friday morning. A scant 48 hours after our brake emergency they had us back on the road and ready to go home. Unlike many car shops appear to do, we were taken care of as soon as possible, and they didn't wait. They understood our situation and went out of their way to make sure we got the best service they could provide. And we are so thankful for them! I wish they were in Sacramento because they have my business as often as I need to give it to them from now on. The least I can do in the mean time is rep their business with their license plate covers. :) read more

I'm probably an atypical customer to Peak Euro, living (yes) in Santa Monica, California. I was on a road trip recently and heading back from Washington State. After passing thru Bend, Oregon, in my 2019 Golf R, my check engine light came on (which was an odd surprise) near the mountains of Crater Lake. Knowing nothing of the local area, much less a competent mechanic, I scanned the internet (with intermittent cell service) for a decent recommendation. Medford was unreachable due to snow, so the best option was to tow back to Bend. Though it was in the opposite direction of where I wanted to go, I'm glad I did. Bend Oregon by itself is a great town. I also got to experience Peak Euro, meeting Bret the service technician and one of their mechanics, Jon - and felt instantly rescued from my plight. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad injector. I flew home since that part would take some time to obtain. But later the following week the car was fixed. All the while they kept me constantly updated. Bret test drove the car over a weekend at my request to insure all fault codes were clear. I found the entire experience extremely favorable and am very happy to now know these guys exist in Bend if ever needed for future road trips. Stellar service! The guys at Peak made me feel like a valued customer from the time I first called. I was stunned to find out i could bring my car in right away. They offered me a ride while they performed the diagnostic, but I chose to stay. Inside of an hour, their master tech confirmeed my suspicions and made note of a few other needed items that needed to be addressed. We went over all that needed to be completed and I decided to have Peak perform ALL of the recommended repairs. The tech even noticed that my drive belt had, with certainty, been previously damaged when installed in conjuction with an alternator replacement last year at another independent shop I'll never return to (out of area). I agreed to the repairs, parts were ordered that day and I had my vehicle back essentially by the end of the 2nd day. Incredible turn around time. Oh yeah, walked out with new head gaskets, camshaft plugs, two new year rotors, brake pads, two motor mounts, and the serpentine belt for about $500 LESS than what it cost to do the previously aforementioned alternator repair and radiator replacement I had done out of state. These guys do things the right way. I will continue to use Peak for ALL needed repairs/maintenance on my wagon as well as on our '18 Alltrack. Why pay more at a dealership? 5 stars all the way. I took my VW Tiguan to Ryan and Peak Transport to diagnose an electrical issue. Not only did they tell me that the repairs were covered under warranty (which I didn't even think to check) - they called the dealership for me, spoke to someone in the service department and explained what repairs were needed, found out when their next available appointment was, made sure I was clear on exactly what needed to be repaired, and forwarded me the contact information for someone at the dealership. And didn't charge me any labor for the diagnostic. It's hard to find this high a level of customer service in this day an age unfortunately. I went to see Ryan because the dealer is over the top spendy. I knew our audi needed some extensive work and he was more than fair with everything. In fact he seems to be a good guy who sincerely wants to help with your car. The estimate came out to around $2000 for everything which was great - the car needed a ton of work. I would say that $2000 repair bills are fairly large by anyones standards even at the local dealership.... ...What I didnt appreciate was him being on the phone for ten minutes while we are trying to pay the bill...the $2000 bill! This is the first time I have ever had a major repair done on a vehicle and not gotten the car back at least with clean windows and well vacuumed... Yes they fixed the car and it runs great. Peak Transport is fantastic. I took my Honda Civic here to get it's A/C replaced and they were straight to the point, didn't overcharge, and helped me as fast as possible. A few months after that my A/C was acting up again, so we just brought it back and after a quick check a different piece had broken, and they replaced it on a very small charge. Took my freightliner sprinter camper conversion with a Mercedes engine to these guys - your options for Mercedes work in Bend is pretty slim - but despite them specializing in audis and vw's they had the software to see what was wrong with the van and were confident working on it. They answered a million of my questions and worked with us to let us keep the van so we could stay in it until they got the parts in (which was the next day). Once the parts were in - work got done really fast. And even though we don't live here, Ryan said to call at any time if there was ever a problem. Good experience!!
