Planning a wedding in 2 months is not what most folks recommend, but we did it anyway. Our wedding…read morewas 10/16/2021, and I found my venue in August. Ferris Steakhouse, Rocky River, OH. See my review of it. Mary Jane Ferris, wedding and event coodinator extrodinaire, sent me to Ferris Steakhouse for a venue. Then she connected me with Brenda, SociallyArtistic for all my flowers and decor. OMG Brenda is unbelievable! She worked with me and completely understood my personal, crazy situation of family etc. My daughter decided the colors for the wedding because she is a busy doctor and hates shopping. Brenda was so understanding and let me wait until my daughter told me the color of the dress she chose before we decided on our pallet. So cool. Socially Artistic delivered all the bouquets and boutonnieres to the church for the ceremony. She was there when we all arrived and pinned the flowers to the men and made sure all the ladies had their bouquets and corsages. It was a little hectic bug Brenda was like a rock in the torrent. I also got a wrist corsage for my mother-in-law. It was exquisite and perfect. My mother-in-law spent a lot of money on her gorgeous dress so I did not want to stick a pin in it. She loved her flowers. In fact, she has not had one word of criticism for the entire wedding and I've been her daughter-in-law for almost a week! I am just getting to the reception. Brenda and her team turned the party room at Ferris Steakhouse into a fairytale scene! Glorious hydrangeas an roses of every pink hue everywhere. And lovely candlelight at multple heights all around the room. There were candlelit flower garlands on the fireplace mantle and over the doorway to the party room. Every table was laden with small and large arrangements. Unbelievably charming!!! There was a topiary on the appetizer table that was magnificent. I told Brenda that I wanted twinkle lights and she delivered! Our reception was magical, thanks to Socially Artistic and Brenda's magic. Now I will tell you how easy Brenda made the whole thing. Really easy. Whether your wedding is in 2 months, or a year or more, call Brenda. You will be so happy you did.

The first time I spoke with her she invited me to meet with her in person and made me feel at ease to choose her as my coordinator. About a month before the wedding, we met again to go over all the final details. She was extremely helpful in polishing up the last minute details, such as how to add some time to the ceremony. Any uncertainty I had, she had a solution, and a good one! She was very responsive to me during those days leading up to the wedding. The wedding was so well put together the day of. She helped coordinate and communicated our bridal party schedules. She was calm and comforting during what could have been a stressful time. She set up all of my décor in a perfect way. Everything was just perfectly coordinated. I highly recommend Brenda for your wedding. Although we didn't hire her for her full planning package, I am certain she would do a fabulous job on that as well. Thanks again Brenda for everything you did to make sure our wedding was perfection!

See their calendar for a schedule. I wish more younger generation Czech and Slovak families would discover this unique ethnic experience. You can become a member or just show up and enjoy. Since this was our first visit, neither of us were sure what to expect. However, when someone says "festival", I expected more than what was offered. If you're hungry for traditional Czech food- you wont be disappointed as there was a large variety to choose from. My husband loved the tripe soup! And I couldn't get enough of the bread dumplings with gravy or the many delicious strudel. Meals start at 11:00am & there is a $5.00 admission fee. You'll need to bring extra cash for food. They also have live music (mostly polka) and a bar available. What was disappointing is that you're basically going there to eat...besides food, a t-shirt vendor (with only one design & a raffle, there's nothing to do & we were quickly bored. We had high hopes that there would be other vendors selling traditional Czech/Slovak items or that I might be able to gain more knowledge about Bohemian traditions. The grounds itself are clean & well kept but the old playground was questionable. Even the children were scared to use the merry-go-round and the swing set looked as if it would collapse any minute. I was also bummed that not one person was wearing traditional clothing (although you can see a few dresses inside the den). When it came to the music, there weren't any dancers either...this isn't somewhere I would recommend taking children as there's absolutely nothing to entertain them. The majority of the crowd were 70 and up & the grounds/den aren't what I would consider handicap accessible so you'll need to have someone available who can easily get up & down the basement stairs (where the food/bar are located). There were also no signs! So if it's your first visit, you'd have no idea that you're expected to find this cute little hut where they sell tickets to purchase food. Thankfully, we didn't waste any time waiting in the very long lines to pick up our food.

We worked with the owner, Nick to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. We had heard some bad stories and read some poor reviews, so they also hired a Wedding Coordinator whom had held events here in the past for extra assurances. We're really glad we did both because everything went so well! The venue looked beautiful on the morning of the wedding! Nick had everything ready and had the outdoor landscaping trimmed as requested. The food was amazing and everything was presented right on time. Our guests were all treated wonderfully by the staff. Thanks for assisting in making our son's wedding day such a success!

We were looking for something special, and what we found was so much more than a meal. Chef Nick and his staff truly make you feel like you are at his home. His home is a unique relaxing experience filled with unique pieces of art and decor that are a reflection of Nick. The grounds are equally inviting and relaxing. I could go on, but I don't want to ruin it for you. We had the 5 course, and every bite was delicious. Each plate was thoughtfully presented and paired beautifully with a wine. (I started of with a refreshing cocktail) If we stopped at the soup, it would have been a great food experience. The portions were sized perfectly, leaving you satisfied and wanting more. The salad was fresh and fit in perfect with the evening, the fish course was perfectly prepared and the Steak was sublime. I had more than a meal, I had the singularly best food experience that I can remember. The hardest part is knowing it changes each weekend and I can get back there soon enough. A perfect place for a wedding, reception, shower, reunion, etc. Go with a desire to relax, enjoy an evening and amazing food!
