Basically hung up on me when he erroneously said the venue was available when it in fact was already booked. I understand these venues book quickly but they scheduled a tour with us when the event had already been booked for the date we were interested in. While I understand mistakes happen, Scott was unwilling to offer any explanation and just hung up on me when I questioned how this had happened. If this is any representation on how they handle business, I would be very cautious at booking a very important event at this venue. It can only be a reflection of how other very important details might be handled.

We had heard some bad stories and read some poor reviews, so they also hired a Wedding Coordinator whom had held events here in the past for extra assurances. We're really glad we did both because everything went so well! The venue looked beautiful on the morning of the wedding! Nick had everything ready and had the outdoor landscaping trimmed as requested. The food was amazing and everything was presented right on time. Our guests were all treated wonderfully by the staff. At the time, you could pay $5.00 and choose to make any craft that they had to offer; I still have a wooden dog I painted (if you press it's nose it plays music) and it was the first time I ever participated in a scavenger hunt. The camp grounds were always kept very clean, the staff was amazing and it was nice to see that the property is exactly as I left it. I attended a wedding here today & would recommend Camp Whitewood to anyone looking for an affordable & alternative wedding venue. Although our friends explained to us that you cannot have alcohol unless you rent all six buildings but this didn't ruin our evening. The building they choose had two bathrooms, a decent sized kitchen, a large stage & plenty of room for eating & dancing. Younger children might be bored as there isn't a playground; however, you can enjoy a fire pit or a stroll through the woods. All the buildings, with the exception of the cabins, are handicap accessible . There's also plenty of parking in a secluded area surrounded by nature. So weather you're considering hosting your next event here or having your children stay for a week or two; Camp Whitewood is the place to be!

They were scheduled to deliver food between 2-2:30 with my guests arriving at 3pm. When no one showed to deliver food, I called and left two messages, also sending a text message, knowing it was his cell phone. No response, nothing so in a panic I ordered pizza and threw together appetizers and boxed cake. Not only was it embarrassing that my guests had no food, I missed the entire party while I was at the house cooking. Then, employees from Chow Down just show up at 5:30, claiming that was the time they were given to deliver food. We were about to serve dessert so I refused to pay for the food. They called their boss, the one who never called me back, who immediately answered and advised they could leave the dessert I had ordered. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but this was unprofessional and unacceptable. The owner should have immediately called me and said he had the time wrong, and not sent his employees later. He never called to apologize. I worked very hard to make this party special for my parents and I missed the whole thing. Unbelievable that he couldn't even take a minute to apologize.
