I would give this place a 0 star if i could. Bought a puppy from here. Dog is great. Contract you sign is not great. #* Important*# read before buying a dog. They make you sign a contract and it stipulates they will pay for any medications the dog needs up to 10 days. They also go through in detail about how dogs get Grardia. Its common in new puppys and spreads easily from 1 dog to another. What they dont tell you is that you will have to pay for the testing of Girardia which is $50. So we got the new puppy tested and it has Girardia. They payed the $20 for the medication on the new puppy but not our old dog. The new puppy gave the old dog Girardia and now we have to pay for the medication for the old dog. Thats B.S.... Then the only way to make sure the 2 dogs dont have Girardia anymore is to have there stool retested. That was $48 for 1 dog and $52 for the other dog. So now weve spent $150 on testing while theyve spent $30 on medication. Absolutely ridiculous . You have been warned!!! If you buy a dog from here make sure they pit in the contract that they will pay for the testing. When your there in front of them it seems nice that they will pay for the meds but how will you know if they need meds without the testing. We love our new addition to our home. It just puts a bad taste in oir mouth about ever buying a puppy from here again. Wont do it. You sell us a dog with a disease! It gets our other dog sick . You wont pay for testing bit you say go get the dog tested and we will pay for medication. I like being kissed before i get FUCKED! read more

I recently purchased a Teddy Bear puppy. The customer service at the time of purchase was great. They answered my questions and helped me choose the correct items I needed. I took the puppy to the vet for a checkup and found out he had a minor ear infection. When I called the pet store and let them know they immediately honored their warranty and refunded the cost of the medication, then ask if there was anything else that they could help me with. I would recommend going to this pet store. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Do know that if you are looking for a new pet these animals are not vet checked and come with no health guarantee. I was hoping to pick out a new companion but when I was told it was cheaper if you paid cash tells me they don't claim these sales. The kittens and older cats are from people that drop them off after finding them outside. PURE profit and not fair to people that think they get these kitties from homes or breeders. None of the cats/kittens are FeLV tested they are just given their first shot. Shame on this place all for greed they don't care if you take an animal home and infect your other cat. I was shocked talking to the gal when I called with questions. I could tell she didn't care at all. Very disappointing for sure that they use animals to make money. Not gonna lie, I don't like this place. First of all, they sell puppies. I don't trust any pet store that sells puppies with no (honest) known background. Second, they have reach-in pens for the rabbits and guinea pigs that say not to touch but grubby handed kids can - and did- manage it and it's not safe for the animals or children. Third, it's expensive. The staff weren't all that helpful or knowledgeable. I was looking for a toy that would survive a heavy chewer and while they had a few, I had seen them elsewhere for 3-8 dollars less. That's a bit of a mark-up. I'm all for supporting the smaller shops but not ones who price unfairly. From what I saw, the store was clean. I don't think you can bring in your own pets since they have other animals that are accessible for larger dogs, but you may wish to call and confirm this. The pet shop is easy to get to and the strip mall has its own private lot off the main drag of Hwy 100. One last thing - when i was in the store, all the puppies got loose. It wasn't me, but I was kind of trapped inside until they corralled them all. I may not be a fan, but I'm not cruel enough to let a poor pup escape into a parking lot. read more

I've shopped here for many, many years because I like to support local small business. Even though the prices on all of their products are a minimum of 30% higher than any other pet store, I still felt "ok" with paying a higher price because they compete with larger chains and have to make up cost. Paying higher prices is usually fine with customers if the store provides services that are worthy of the incentive. Until today..... The owner rang me up. The price on guinea pig water bottles came up at $13.99 and the sign read $11.99. She said "They must've been in the wrong place!" As she walked over to look. They weren't in the wrong place, the wrong price was in the computer. No apology. Just a price adjustment. If I wasn't paying attention, I would've been charged an even higher price than the ridiculous $11.99 Then as I was checking out, she charged my card $292.02 in error and I noticed it as I was going to sign the receipt. She was quick to void the transaction but again no apology. Not once did she smile or say thank you for shopping with us. Or have a nice day at bare minimum?? The owner has always been rude in that way, the only reason we had come back so many times is because at least her daughter has social skills and is quite pleasant; as are her long-time employees. Liz & Dorris are lovely, kind and courteous. Likely the only reason people still spend money there at all. All of the products on her shelves have a 1/8" layer of dust on them and why wouldn't they when they are so overly priced?? Oh that's right....puppies! High priced puppies that come from puppy mills in Ohio and Madison. I probably wouldn't have even mentioned any of this but when you are treated so poorly by the store owner, time and time again; who acts like she could careless about any of her customers I'd say it's time to be honest and not worry so much about the success of her small business and more about the poor dogs she sells. Most of the puppies are leaking diarrhea, no doubt because she doesn't take the time to wean them on to a better food when they are brought in. The workers do a great job of cleaning up after them but it's still hard to ever consider buying a dog from a place that knows nothing about the puppy parents, their health, their environment, etc. I would guess that most dogs purchased there will have some sort of major health problem in their short lives. They all smell like their own urine and many of them come in with ear mites and fleas....likely all have worms or parasites considering the obviously rounded bellies and constant drainage. Puppy prices are usually a range of $1,200-$895. NONE of them come with any proof of the breed type or health information, etc. Try getting a refund or an exchange on a puppy....I bet that wouldn't go very far here! All other animals that are sold there are surrenders. Every kitten, every rabbit, guinea pig, etc. she keeps surrenders that will breed so she can sell the brood, obviously. They are just conveniently marked as "therapy" animals. This also means she makes 100% profit on someone else's surrender. It's not like she takes them in and rehabilitates them at her cost! Nope. Her latest "rescue" a Russian tortoise who was in very poor conditions and had a lanced growth on its neck. It sat on top of newspaper with a bowl of fruit when fruit would only make it sicker! Surely a "pet store" should know better! That tank was next to a yellow bellied slider with a peeling shell; the person who surrendered both was obviously neglectful. The reason I mention these things is because they were listed FOR SALE!! No one should sell animals in this condition! Breeding parakeets left to continue breeding until the female dies as a result of over breeding. Seven babies in her box, all different ages. The owner doesn't consider taking the male out to give her a break and allow her to recuperate which would have been the humane thing to do. Nothing that the owner does is indicative of a person who loves animals and wants the best for them. It's about the $$ and it shows. I'll never shop here again and it's a shame that the owners is so oblivious to how she treats the only people who keep food on her table! The customer! It's also sad that the animals in this case, are looked at as profit rather than living creatures who deserve better. No, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless you're in a pinch for dog food. They do have a great selection (at the higher price). To add insult to injury, I paid for 50 crickets and the owner put 32 in the bag. I guess she'll have her business one cricket at a time! **Originally I was going to say that she priced feeder insects reasonably compared to big chain pet stores but not if you only get a portion of the quantity you pay fo each time!** Luckily, her employees don't do this; it's nice to know she isn't training them in a dishonest context. So that's a plus, I guess! read more

Staff seems i knowledgeable. I was speaking to one employee and the other came and seemed to insert herself making it appear that the first employee did not know what to say. Thought she was new but she said she's been there almost a year. When I asked a simple question I was even laughed at. But yet they told me that their 5 month old husky wasn't going to get any bigger. Really need a more educated staff or at least nicer read more

You are supposed to receive a 10% discount for buying 3 bully sticks. It seems that 95% of the time I have to remind the cashier and wait while some of them verify this or call the owner to ask how it's done. It takes time and has become annoying. Today was worse. The girl KNEW I was supposed to get 10% off but the computer wasn't taking off the right amount so she called the owner. The owner did not answer after many tries. My dogs were waiting in the car and I needed to be done so I just asked if she could take off the 10% manually and she said no. She then went to get the owner's daughter. She said the discount was applied. She swore that was correct and that 5 cents off was 10% of $4.99 which it is not. The owner just called called me to say that the system is fixed but that doesn't help that I have walked out twice in the last couple weeks because of this error and last time it was the much more expensive bully sticks. I thought for my gas and time she would throw in a free bully stick but she did not. POORLY DONE. I'm still upset. read more

My family has always had pets. Everything from birds, to rats, to bunnies... you name it, we've had several at some point. So, I've been in and out of pet stores my entire life. I have never been inside of one in my entire life that was so unbelievably filthy before. The animal's cages hadn't been cleaned in so long, that it actually smelled like vomit throughout the whole store. It was appalling, and with each cage that I passed, I just looked inside at whatever animal was laying in it's own feces, and thought... Aw, you poor honey. It was disgusting, and quite frankly... abusive. We ended up buying a hamster, and when I was paying for it all I could think was... I need to save these other animals. I need to do something, this is so wrong. So, I'm going to call the health department in the morning. That place needs to be shut down, and the quicker the better. read more

We have obtained two dogs from Corners and they have both been great. The groomers are outstanding. The staff is young and they may not be technically adept, but they are helpful, enthusiastic and very nice. Strongly recommend this place for pet services and supplies. read more

Probably the worst pet store ever. VERY rude staff. Not knowledgeable at all. They sell sick puppies. The people who take care of them throw them around, kick them out of the way, etc. They are extremely mean to them. I want to find a way to report them and put them out of business. When I was last in there, they were microchipping these poor 8 week old puppies on top of the counter. No gloves, no nothing. These poor things were just screaming, and they were so rough when doing it too. The puppies in the cages are laying on metal bars full of pee and poop too. I can keep going about all of the negative things about this "store", but I will just leave it at that. Do not shop there. Do not buy puppies from them. They are abusive, cruel employees, with no compassion or consideration for these dogs or clients. read more

Not to bag on the whole place and establishment because before we came into this situation everything was fine and we had no problems. We stop in frequently for dog treats and like to look at the dogs. Then this employee with silver hair kind of ruined the experience for us. First time we held a puppy around her dog , and had the rude employee come up, ask if were done and took the puppy from us BEFORE we could even answer. No we were not holding it for long at all. Second time we passed by and she walks by with her nasty attitude and mumbles " 2 more hours" under her breath while throwing kibble at the ground for the puppies. It also smelled disgusting in there- so the employee was not properly taking care of the building as it's usually nice and tidy. Someone's gotta tell this chick to chill because she just makes my family uncomfortable when we walk in and she shows us how miserable she is at work. read more

Buyer beware. I do NOT recommend this place. I sent the owner, Heidi an email regarding my concerns and received no response. When I called a few days later she didn't take any of my concerns seriously. Here is the email below: I purchased a pet from your store on 3/2/17 and have several concerns. 1. Before purchase,when I asked the price of the dog I was told $799. I then decided to purchase the dog. After my decision, I was told there was an extra $30 charge because he was micro chipped. The purchase price was misleading. This should been included with the price of the dog as I'm sure it can't be removed. 2. I was given a "bill of health" aka Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and an Examination Report Card with purchase of the dog. . This was signed by your vet , the very day I bought the dog stating that he saw no signs of infection, contagious or communicable diseases. I noticed bloody, loose stools at home. The dog tested "strongly" positive (per your vet) for Giardia and Coccidia. I would have appreciated being told that this was a possibility. I was given information on many things from your store ie: what plants are poisonous, how to puppy proof your house, but nothing about the possibility of parasites . I spoke to Dr. Bealy at the State Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. She recommended I get in touch with you and deal with it as a consumer issue which is the route I have chosen to take. Why do you not test each dog for for Giardia? The Humane Society won't let a dog out of the building without a neg test or being on meds for a positive test. Why do you pay for antibiotics for 30 days? I believe it is because you know there is a very high likelihood of there being a problem. 3. I signed up for puppy training class elsewhere. It cost $133. Now I can't bring my puppy because of the Giardia and Coccidi. The refund for cancelling is only 50%. I chose to take the class and go without my puppy. Not the optimum experience. Disappointing. 4. I went back to the store on Sunday March 19th right before closing. I called and spoke to your employee and told her why I was coming and that I would be there a few min before 5pm which is closing. I drove 40 min to get there, arrived at 4:57 and the employees had locked the door. Now, at the very least I am asking that you pay for stool testing and all meds necessary to get rid of the Coccidi and Giardia at the vet of MY choosing. read more
