As a current student at Cornerstone Christian Schools, it is with a heavy heart that I write this review. Unfortunately, my time at this institution has been marked by a significant absence of a true Christian atmosphere, a distressing focus on financial gain, blatant dishonesty, a scandalous cheating incident involving the athletics department, an unfair allocation of funding towards sports, and an overall toxic environment. Allow me to elaborate on these disheartening experiences. First and foremost, despite its name, Cornerstone Christian Schools fails to foster a genuine Christian atmosphere. While the school may espouse Christian values in its mission statement, the day-to-day reality falls disappointingly short. The administration's actions and policies do not align with the teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and integrity that Christianity promotes. This disconnect casts a shadow over the school's supposed commitment to its religious foundation. Furthermore, it is evident that Cornerstone Christian Schools prioritizes financial gain above all else. The administration's decisions consistently revolve around maximizing profits rather than prioritizing the well-being and education of its students. This unfortunate emphasis on monetary considerations undermines the integrity of the institution and leaves students feeling neglected and undervalued. One particularly troubling incident that highlights the school's dishonesty was the cheating scandal involving the athletics department. Additionally, it is abundantly clear that Cornerstone Christian Schools disproportionately allocates funding to sports programs at the expense of other important educational areas. Furthermore, it is important to highlight the immense mental strain that students experience as a result of the toxic environment at Cornerstone Christian Schools. The constant pressure to excel academically, athletically, and socially takes a toll on the well-being of students. The competitive nature that permeates the school fosters an environment of stress and anxiety, leaving little room for personal growth and self-expression. The lack of support and understanding from both the administration and peers exacerbates these issues, further compounding the mental health challenges faced by students. The toxic atmosphere has not only affected me but has also left a lasting impact on past students. Many of my fellow classmates, as well as alumni, have shared their struggles with social and mental issues that they attribute to their time spent at Cornerstone Christian Schools. It is disheartening to witness the long-term consequences of an environment that fails to prioritize the well-being of its students and neglects the importance of fostering a nurturing and supportive community. The adverse effects on mental health and social well-being are concerning, as they have the potential to hinder a student's overall development and future success. A school should be a safe and inclusive space where students can flourish academically, emotionally, and socially. Unfortunately, Cornerstone Christian Schools falls short in providing such an environment, leaving students feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and ill-equipped to navigate the challenges they face. Given the opportunity, I would transfer to a woke public school immediately. While a secular school may lack the religious foundation of Cornerstone Christian Schools, it often compensates by fostering a more inclusive and accepting environment. My child just graduated and we have his transcript and diploma now I can tell the truth about this place. This place was outstanding under the guidance of Mrs. Davenport. She is a great lady and did a solid job administering the school, then they brought in some Louisiana and Florida coaches, teachers, and administration and the school went to heck. They cheated so bad that they were tossed out of TAPPS, as the coaches from Louisiana were poaching kids from the schools in and around the city and even from California. Spiritually the school entered a sinful era, kids using F words in the hallways, football players openly harassing girls, miscegenation being promoted, and general sinfulness running amok. The current crop of people running the school are very poor in their communication to the point of not informing parents of graduation issues and threatening to withhold diploma's for missing work. However the football players all average around 3.5's despite hardly ever going to class and being disrespectful to teachers. I would strongly caution a parent about sending their child to this school, we enjoy listening to Pastor Hagee, but believe that the school is turning very liberal and without his guidance this school will just be another cesspit of sinful filth. We had black male teachers threaten our son for wearing a MAGA hat, we had the senior administrator follow my husband around and asking if he needed help repeatedly during a parent teacher conference. All because he had a Trump shirt on, but she either ignored or didn't hear her black male teachers threatening students. The guidance counselor helps out the elite who attend the school and basically blows off the other kids. If you push back against some of their liberal ideas they take it out on your child. I know you would not think this would happen at a place where you spend 10000 a year for your kid to get an education, but they do target the kids. Geneva School is a nice place and we regret not sending our son there. Also there are several other school that are better academically than Cornerstone. Just do your homework and have your kid spend a day sitting through their classes as well as one of the parents spending a day watching the hallway happenings. It is eye opening. read more

My experience as a student at this school has been extremely disappointing. The quality of education is severely lacking. Not all teachers are certified, and some do not seem fully knowledgeable in the subjects they teach. By the end of the school year, I honestly cannot say I learned as much as I should have. Despite advertising itself as a "college prep" school, there is very little actual preparation for college. Another major issue is the constant disorganization and the staff's inability to properly handle serious situations. The school seems to get a new principal and vice principal almost every year, and with each change, the rules suddenly shift as well. There is very little consistency or structure. The administration also fails to respond appropriately to student safety concerns. There have been incidents of students being sexually harassed in the school parking lot, as well as personal items being stolen, and these situations are often dismissed with statements like, "There's nothing we can do about it." As a result, nothing is ever resolved. In addition, there is heavy drug use in the locker rooms and bathrooms that regularly goes unaddressed. There have also been situations involving students recruited for football bringing guns to school in their cars and receiving little to no serious consequences. One of the most disturbing issues was the school allegedly covering up the suicide of a security officer in the parking lot. Combined with everything else, this created an environment that felt unsafe, poorly managed, and deeply concerning. Overall, I would never recommend this school to anyone. In my opinion, it is absolutely not worth the money. For this being a "christian school", the behavior in the school from students and staff does not reflect that. read more

I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. I was in this hell for 9 years and now I have severe mental health issues caused by the staff and students. Not only were the staff unhelpful to any bullying the staff also joined in on the bullying. I have a learning disability and I had teachers embarrass me in front of the whole class and do nothing about the laughter that followed. Now as an adult I have many issues I have to deal with everyday because of the trauma I endured. Not to mention how homophobic and sexist everyone is. I am truly disgusted in everyone on that staff. Especially the the head master/higher ups. I truly hope that the kids who do go to this school do well and don't end up like the many people I know who have trauma from this hell called a school. read more

Don't believe the facebook reviews for this school they sensor all and only accept positive feedback on facebook. They lied about students per class. Secondary has average of 23 students per class room some up to 28. The bullying is not addressed until someone is injured. All the recruits from outlaws are a bunch of bullies and the school ignores this because they are concerned and focused on making a name for themselves athletically. The Christ centered CCS of the past is gone teachers address issues by ignoring them or being overtly pretentious. They are outwardly stressed. read more
