I love that this church family is friendly. Sometimes the pastor might not have the right message for you every Sunday, however it's always good to be patient because sometimes everyone has a different feeling in their hearts and I have found this church to be quite inspiring. Sometimes the screen does go through some bible quotes a bit too fast for me. I make sure to get bible app ready incase I do need to pause and reflect. I think those moments are the most meaningful for me because then I can have a personal conversation with God; so don't worry if the pastor doesn't get your message every Sunday, just know that if your intentions are family focused, community friendly, and you come to church with an open mind and an open heart, you will find the right message from God. Psalm 139: David's praying to God and he says, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This speaks of the care and attention with which God has made us. read more

The worship here at centerpoint is absolutely amazing. Full of life, soul and true offerings of heart through musical worship to the Lord. I am more than happy with the diversity here. Being a young black family it is hard to find a church in this area where my children can see all different types of people and explore the diversity in Gods kingdom. I'm not talking about just race but language, economic status, age, EVERYTHING that makes us unique but one in Christ. This church is bible teaching and heavy on scripture during sermons. Full of truth and not afraid to go deep and point out current events or whatever feels right! Prophetic as far as healing prayers and things (personally mew to this type of prayer) but wouldn't have it any other way. I went today for the first time as I am currently looking for a church home. I will start with the positives. I was glad to see the diversity and the amount of people there. The church itself was nice. Now for the other parts. First the worship singers were a little too extra for my taste. They are definitely thinking that it's their star or American Idol moment and it was too over the top. The pastor definitely looked like he spends too much time at the tanning salon and was promoting his book. He said the name of his book about a dozen times. Then he explained that the logo in his shirt was also the logo for the book. When he was reading passages he was speaking in an accents that made him sound like the Count from Sesame Street. As a whole it felt unauthentic and forced. I believe that the pastor is full of himself and it's sad. read more

My daughters and I have been attending this church for a few years off and on. This year I have gotten much more involved in the classes and prayer sessions and have really felt connected. It's hard as a single mom sometimes to fit in to a church setting sometimes and here I really feel loved and that my growth is encouraged. Several friends and family members that haven't attended church in many years went on Easter Sunday and will now be returning as they felt welcomed and supported. I felt the presence of God the moment I walked in. The worship music was moving and awesome! The message was totally biblical and spoke to me! The children's church was well organized and my granddaughter totally enjoyed it. I wish I lived closer. This is a church for people who want to grow in their faith as well as those who are brand new to the faith. Lots of different classes to attend during the week too. read more

Love this church! Only concern: The Childcare. This has been the 2nd time I've had a negative experience with the teachers working with the toddlers. I do not know their names, but they were all teenagers working in the toddler class on June 5 at the 11:00 service. Poor attitudes, and careless. They clearly did not know what they were doing and acted as if they did not want to be there. The teenagers need to belong in the youth service and leave the childcare to the adults.. read more

In life there are few times when you can say that a group of people have so impacted your life, that you truly would not be who you are, had you not spend time together. That's the story of my Centerpoint journey. I came from out of state and did lots of research into churches in the Murrieta/Temecula Valley. Even online, Centerpoint grabbed my heart with a website that is not only easy to navigate and looks good, but clearly displays in text, photo and video, the vibe you can expect from this community of believers. From my very first visit, I was welcomed by peeps who greeted me warmly before I even got to the door, with more friendly faces on the inside too. The musical worship is on point. Expect fun and modern worship sets. You'll worship to music from Hillsong United, Bethel, Jesus Culture, Chris Tomlin, Gungor, etc. I sooooo loooove the musical worship here. We have lights from the stage, but not a light show. Sometimes Pastor John will even lead us in a song. That's it's own treat! =) Even the announcement videos are creatively informative and many times, funny. And when it comes to getting plugged in...there is a bunch to chose from! I got plugged into the men's group right away and have been a regular attender to the church and group for just over two years. I've also been active with Centerpoint missions and singles. I've truly loved and made great friendships in each of the groups I've participated. When it comes to preaching, Pastor John is a passionate, thorough, vulnerable and at times silly. I love that he does the voices of characters from scripture! Haha! After hearing him preach for two years and having several one on one meetings, I can tell you that John has a deep love for God and His people. He has an evangelistic heart and doesn't go one week without giving folks an opportunity to start a personal relationship with Christ. Here are some other things to prayerfully consider: 1. Children's Ministry: My kids are grown. But, my friend's who have kids in the programs, love it. 2. Youth Ministry: Same as above. **Both ministries have new facilities designed just for their age groups and have several full-time staff in each area, with tons of volunteers.** 3. Men's Ministry: I LOVE my brothers! Several groups to chose from. 4. Women's Ministry: Ask for Sharon or Heather. These ladies are such a hoot! =) 5. Service/Missions: Plenty of stuff to be involved in to make a difference in our community and beyond. 6. Staff: Friendly, godly, silly, loving, passionate, fun, Spirit-filled leaders! Why write such a long review? Because finding a community of faith is one of our most important needs and doing life with the Centerpoint family has been one of my life's greatest joys. Whether you're just looking for a church for the holidays or are truly seeking a community to call your own, give Centerpoint a chance. All churches have people that are hurting. Hurt people, hurt people. If you show up and don't feel as warmly greeted as you hoped, then look for someone else who looks new and meet them. You'll both appreciate it! Last Sunday, we attended service there for the second time, and its the first time our entire family walked out of a service. The pastor was claiming to be a healer and spoke negatively of those who are Muslim, he called any other religion besides Christianity a "dead religions", and he also made very insensitive remarks about LGBTQ individuals. A Christian leader should never belittle any other religions or people of different background. Church is suppose to be a safe space for ALL people and to spread the loving word of God. Centerpoint is not this place. Most UNCHRISTIAN and disturbing service we've ever attended. read more

We started coming to Center Point about a year ago. The staff is amazing, and very welcoming. Pastor John is very real and shares his own struggles in such a relatable way. He also does a good job at giving background information when reading from the Bible. Not all of us went to seminary school, so we appreciate the extra information. We have 2 kids and they both love their Sunday school classes. My son is in their imagineers program and Mrs. Paty is Wonderful!!!! The kids are really learning about Jesus, and they have all of the kids working on the same curriculum, which is cool. We have had a very hard time finding a place that is a right fit for our family. The people are nice but too RAH RAH for me. I brought someone who hasn't been to church for 20 years and this just didn't feel real for her. Too much joking and cheerleading and didn't seem genuine to her. I'm sure there was genuine feeling there, but the execution was so high powered and everything seemed to have to be funny, even when it was serious. It's obvious that people who ARE part of this church love it, but all that turned her off and so I was disappointed since I want her to connect with God. read more

I was dragged to church as a kid. I never felt the community of God or the love of Jesus. I felt bored and disconnected. I began attending Centerpoint Church a couple of months ago. Since I am often fearful and closed to new experiences I came to Centerpoint after my wife went a few times and assured me it was ok. It took me a bunch of Sunday's, or Saturday nights, to get passed my wall of fear and distrust. It took a little time to begin to hear the message of God and his son Jesus Christ via the preaching of Pastor John. When I think back it was probably the killer LIVE "God Rock" (not sure if that's appropriate ) band that does a 15 minute set before every service. I was actually driven to tears today as my heart was being filled with the love of Christ during the mini concert. We've been members of Centerpoint for a few years and have been involved in several ministries. Of course no church is perfect, but I can tell you for sure that there are people here who are truly invested in being true disciples of Jesus and loving people not just with their words but in their actions too! We love Pastor John's preaching. He teaches biblically sound messages they are also inspiring and real-life applicable. The people here are kind and welcoming. I know it's a bigger church so it can seem hard to make connections but if you put yourself out there even just a little bit you will be able to find people to become your family, guaranteed. I highly recommend becoming part of a Bible study or life group but the best way to get connected is to volunteer to serve! I also highly recommend doing Rooted!! Our family stumbled upon this church by accident and we loved it. The children's ministry is amazing and I always felt that that the were safe.
