Portal is hard to send messages. No responses. My PA is not on their that wrote my script. The message went to another PA's ox and she never contacted me. I haven't been able to reach her in 2 weeks. Their phone is constantly busy daily. I have to drive there to get my script adjusted. Also, they posted scripts I never filled on my portal, diagnosis innacurate and had to be changed. read more

I'm a student at MSU from Rochester MI & I had to get a doctor in East Lansing to continue receiving my prescriptions, so I landed here. Hannah has been the most amazing doctor I've had ever, by far! She always has a smile on her face and remembers very personal things about me, something none of my regular appointments do. She is extremely helpful and straight to the point. Former patient returned to the area. Got sick so I figured I'd head back, having had a good experience 10 years ago. Apparently things have changed. I get that it has been awhile since I was a patient, and thus would have to be a "new patient", but really that's just paperwork. Paperwork which can all be filled out in advance. Apparently though, the expectation was I was supposed to plan on when I get sick to see a doctor, because CFP wanted over a month to see a doctor as a new patient. To add insult to injury, they wouldn't even speak to me unless I CALLED my insurance and got confirmation for approval for ALL their doctors. So now I'm supposed to spend a few hours to speak with someone in India because they can't tell? I've never heard of a doctor not knowing what insurance they participate in or what network they are in. Unless you feel like being sick for a month before they can see you and don't mind if your non-emergent issue becomes an emergent one in the meantime, go elsewhere. read more

The front desk staff are TERRIBLE. We had an appointment, we're on time and they said we taking lunch. They checked us in an hour later. I mentioned my kids had some secondary Medicaid insurance during the pandemic but we never applied or used it. We use BCBSOFMI. Have been there 2 years. They said we had to find a knew PCP because it would be insurance fraud. That is flat out wrong. I called the insurance company to prove that but being busted she said she would call the policy if we didn't leave. I have 6 kids on our insurance 18-24, all in college. I have Cancer and now I have to start over with another office because one office staff had bad information and was too prideful to recognize it read more

Poor patient service. Staff is ineffective. Dr. Morris assistant never returns phone calls. Just found out from my pharmacy that the reason I was over charged for a prescription is that this practice didn't obtain approval from my insurance company but rather had the pharmacy charge my prescription to a service. I visited this place as a new patient, hoping to find a new family doctor. I will not be choosing CFP as my family doctor. I entered a dated looking lobby, walked up to the counter and was met by a rather rude staff member, who was not only unhelpful, but a bit snotty. I was taken back to the treatment rooms by a nurse who was also rude, unhelpful and snotty. The nurse practitioner, Josh, was great. Friendly, took lots of time with me, and generally seemed to care. Then I was sent off to 'the front'. There are no clear directions, and I walked past a nurses' station, where two other nurses sat and chatted to someone who was clearly as pharmaceuticals rep. They all were laughing and cracking up, while I stood there wondering where to go. I finally just walked off, and found the front desk on my own. In a nutshell, this place is a stereotypical medical facility. And not in a good way. Oh, and regarding health: I am very motivated to be healthy. But why on earth would I choose a family practice that employs so many morbidly obese staff members. It sends the wrong message. Do as I say, not as I do, I guess. read more

if i'm being honest, I have never had a single good experience here. I am constantly waiting 45+ minutes to be seen for appointments I scheduled days prior. There is never a good excuse besides "we got backed up". Extremely unprofessional and insensitive to issues that I trust my doctor to address. Love it! They have a great staff. The MA.'s have great bedside manner and are very efficient. Wait times are kept to a minimum with their quality receptionist and medical biller; the cancellation policy ensures that there are not a lot of last minute cancellations. New patients may always expect a wait to get to schedule their first appointment. I recommend Julie or Josh. I am so impressed with Joshua Feller (P.A.) that I think he could probably manage his own practice as an MD if he ever chose to become one. There is an old adage that rings true for me here: doctors may prescribe but the nurses do all the real work! Similarly the P.A.'s here are top notch and get the leg work done efficiently. read more

This "FAMILY DOCTOR'S OFFICE" A few of the staff are kind and courteous but for the most part the PAs and Dr. RALPH A. HARVEY MD, our pre-judgment, Rude, DONT LISTEN TO YOU, they look is a few papers in your file of 1000 pages or more and prejudge you before even meeting you. You are insulted and threatened if you don't take the medication that they want you to in without questions you threatened to find another doctor. I have lived in pain for 28 years in the last four years I have been medically abused by other doctors kicked around from doctor to doctor, if you read the homepage of this company DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD OF IT, Dr. Harvey likes to dabble we has no business going in your personal life, I didn't ask for a minister to dig into my past I asked for a pain doctor that would help relieve the lifelong pain that I suffer as a result of an injury to my upper body when I was injured on the job in a factory, also treatment of my lower back when I broke it at a funeral. So now according to this doctor all my pain that I feel is not my body it's my heart it's my soul it's the way I was treated when I was younger. HES FULL OF "S-IT" Proclaimed hobbyist in psychology. Dr. Rawlinson has been my primary physician since I moved to the Greater Lansing area 32 years ago. Dr Rawlinson and his staff are so thorough, they are always professional, personal and proficient. The list of physicians he has referred me to (for conditions he couldn't treat) has never failed to also provide professional service. Oh, and the wait time is not very long. Definitely not the norm! Dr harvey is no longer there as of around may 31st One nurse is a bitch hung up on me twice forwarded me to a voice mail,told me on phone when I called for a refill Dr Have had on my last visit that he was going to send me refills.it was legally he was still my Dr as his letter said he would not be my Dr after May 31.the person told me no and they might take away my nirco and flex too.I really pissed me off as I have a heart condition and was ordered by heart Dr to take the meds they gave me in hospital.to assure I didn't get my arithmia back. The receptionist refused to give me refills,I had a angzity attack and almost called a ambulance as I could not sleep and was very pissed untill my wife got me some erbal sleep pills that work great,from Meijer called Somnapure. After my former Doctor whom I'd seen for 15 years and developed a close relationship with, closed his small family practice. I didn't think I would be able to find another doctor where I could get the same personalized service I was use to receiving. Fortunately I was able to get into Cornerstone and Dr. Harvey. He genuinely cares for his patients and spends the necessary time needed to actually "talk" about what's going on. The appointments usually run long, and the wait time is probably more than a "normal" appointment. The staff I've have contact with have been professional although it's not always easy to get in for a quick appointment, I am happy with the level of treatment I receive. read more

If you are looking for a doctor don't waste your time going here. They are not in the business to help people, they are in the business of judging people without knowing a damn thing. I have never experienced the ignorance that I experienced at this place! This is what Leona said, "I had neck and back surgery and I have rods and screws in my neck and I don't take pain medications so what's your problem? You must be lying about it because you have had back surgery and should be fine". What an ignorant statement-I still can't get over how stupid and arrogant this woman is. She's not a doctor, I think she is a receptionist or something like that but she sure does like to pretend she knows what she is talking about. So I guess because she had a successful surgery that means everyone else does too. I was judged by these people without them knowing a thing about my medical history. The only person who understood what chronic pain is about it Rebecca. I don't know how she can stand working at this place every day. My husband just started going here and i told him today when he got home that he has to find another doctor because I'll be damned if my insurance will pay this place one penny more. I was looking for a new doctor. So I thought I'd try this place on a coworker's recommendation. Their web site said they accepted most BCBS insurance and to call them to check. So I called and I was told to find out if either of their two doctors were accepted by insurance, to call number on back of the card, and hung up. 1. Change your web site if you can't tell me whether you accept my insurance. 2. You're right next to MSU and you don't know if you accept one of their two major insurance plans?!? I can't imagine this is a new question. The person was either lazy or clueless. Neither characteristics I want in a doctors' office. I'll keep looking. read more

My family Dr. retired after being my Dr. since I was a teen. He delivered both of my children. He hired them to mow his lawn and do general work around his home and office. Dr. Harvey came highly recommended by him. I find his staff to be very friendly, funny and helpful. I checked online to see if they parred with my insurance. They didn't, but gave a big discount for office visits. I would recommend CFP to anyone. read more

I went here based on a referral from my co-worker. I was assigned to doctor Kim Houn, and she was a good match for me. She worked hard to make sure I was comfortable with her, and I instantly felt at ease. I originally scheduled an appointment for my yearly annual exam. She was comfortable and charming. I have since seen her for mental health outpatient services and for a cold/upper respiratory infection. I agree with the first post that the office staff is always laughing/not paying attention to patients, etc; my first encounter at the front desk was also met with a rude response from the obese lady working there. She warmed up, however, as I commented on her mother's ring and turned out to be very nice and helpful. However, this should be addressed among the staff. No one was paying any attention to the patients needs when I returned from my visit and stood around trying to figure out where to go next. I also had difficulty navigating the place when I had finished my appointment, with no clear direction as to where to go to exit and how to get back to the front desk - or rather WHICH front desk I was supposed to be going to. However, while they could improve in this front desk/staff area, I choose my medical facilities based on how they approach medical care, not on unimportant things like the front desk staff, and I GREATLY like and appreciate the way they try hard to know me as a patient here. I like their medical services, and I DO recommend Cornerstone Family Practice. In addition, before I ever approached their front desk, I scoured their website and found it FULL of USEFUL and important information, as well as that it gave me a sense of commitment and well-being that I liked right off the bat. It is fair to say their website, which was ever so useful, gave me an EXCELLENT FIRST IMPRESSION! Also, when I called to speak with someone and set up my appointment, the person who answered spent at least 10 minutes with me on the phone and answered ALL my questions, addressed every concern, was extremely polite and even asked me questions.
