This is a far superior urgent care than many others. They actually listen to your symptoms and will try other things before just giving you antibiotics. I went to Urgent Care at Frandor with an ear ache, as I waited the staff behind the desk was talking...one of the desk clerks said my name and told me that I didn't have insurance with a smug look. I proceeded to Sparrow, and talked to the receptionist they told me I did have insurance. Once I was done getting seen, I had double ear infections. I came in twice with multiple symptoms and both times I was told it was "just a sore throat" and sent home. I honestly started to feel like I was being dramatic or imagining how bad I felt. They even told me to come back in three days if things didn't improve... so when a week later I came back feeling even worse, I thought I'd finally be taken seriously. Instead, I was dismissed again with no medication. The very next day I went to another urgent care and found out I had influenza. So no, it wasn't just my throat being a little overdramatic -- it was my entire immune system fighting for its life. I won't be coming back, but I do hope future patients are taken more seriously the first time. read more

If I could give Okemos Urgent Care zero stars, I would. I called ahead before coming in, specifically asking if they were busy, and was told it wouldn't be a long wait. That was an outright lie. I sat there, in excruciating pain from a scratched cornea, for over an hour and a half, barely able to keep my eye open. And just when I thought my turn was finally coming, I was bumped back further because a mother with a vomiting baby took priority. I understand triage, but at that point, I had already waited longer than anyone should in an urgent care setting. To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel my appointment and leave, I could not get the attention of a single staff member. I waved, I stood up, I even tried calling from inside the waiting room--nothing. Their complete lack of communication and concern for their patients is appalling. This place is an absolute joke. Montana really went above and beyond to help me mend my injury, she pressed forward with an xray which was totally unexpected . she showed a genuine bedside manner in focusing on what's best for my situation as she listened to me in whole and not just throwing meds at me and pushing out the door. The whole staff working was totally excellent in knowing their exact role in assisting with the visit. Everyone there didn't seem stressed, and in a good mood considering any circumstances occurring. I made an appointment for an xray the night before and only when I arrived did they tell me they can't do an xray at this location because they didn't have staff. They sent me to the Haslett location where I sat in excruciating pain for 2 hours since I was now a walk-in at the end of the line. They should have called and let me know they couldn't honor my appointment. read more

Had a very bad experience here. My son as a college student away from home was sick and took a bus here to hopefully be treated for his sinus infection--a condition he has experienced previously. He saw Jennifer Guthrie, P.A. who ran many tests that were all negative--which makes sense because there is no test for a sinus infection. I called into his appointment on speaker phone. She would not give him an antibiotic even though we told her that is usually how his pediatrician successfully treats him when he gets one of these. When I pressed, she said she would call one in but put a four day hold on it with the pharmacy so he could not fill it. Since when is this a normal practice? Does making an 18 year old that is away from his family and normal care providers suffer with a sinus infection for 4 more days than he needs to make sense? read more

I only had my tsh, t3 and t4 measured. Normally he said 35 dollars, they charged me 10 dollars because I had insurance. But the bill came twice. 135 dollars! Plays blows A** online wait said 122 minutes so I did online check in told me to arrive at 1:30pm and I'd be in by 1:50 it's currently 2:35 and the sign now says 19-34 minutes after it said 8-20 4 minutes ago the front desk lady has been rude when I kindly asked what the real wait time was as there is 4 screens that show different numbers. This is an urgent care in my hometown the point of an urgent care is that you get in and out within an hour not wait at home for 2 then come and wait here for 2 more I could've went to a hospital and gotten blood work, a ct scan, and a MRI in the time I've been waiting for them to prescribe me some simple sinus meds. I've written 1 other review in my life and it was actually 5 stars Walt a cool food place so I think it goes to show how terrible this place is. If your sick and your around here go to literally anywhere else even check Facebook probably has about as much useful information as this place can give you! read more

My fiancee and I were at Lansing Urgent Care in Okemos, MI yesterday and received the best care! The nurse TIA, MA and DR. BOLIN are so awesome! They took such good care of my fiancee. As a Supervisor of an AFC home I found it disturbing that the PA presented incredibly unprofessional over providing a simple script to the staff for the patient. After much advocating we were able to get a signature from the PA on an instruction form with the help of the receptionist- thank you to her! The PA did not need to further insult by stating to my staff member, in front of the patient nonetheless - "for future reference... that is not how we work" then with a sarcastic "Bye". AFC licensing requires a script w a doctors signature in order for us to provide to a patient. The PA was very inconsiderate of the patient needs as well as treatment of the caregiver. read more

Went in here with severe back pain and Dr. Huldin refused to acknowledge the pain! She treated me like a was a drug addict searching for pain meds! I was charged $100 for a 5 second exam and told to take ibuprofen even though I told her I have already been doing that for a week! Don't go here if you want to be taken seriously! read more

If I could give them less than one star for how I was treated today, I would. I went in to pick up some records that my insurance requested. To my dismay there were several inaccuracies re: dates of injuries which could affect how my insurance handles my claim In addition there was an entire paragraph of important information that looked like it had been typed with someone with their hands in the wrong position on the keyboard or someone with dyslexia. They refused to correct any of the errors and one of the two women I spoke to was extremely hostile. Like another reviewer said, I felt as if she thought I was trying to pull some kind of scam when I just wanted them to correct errors. I would suggest using a different immediate care group.
