Having to deal with mortgages for four years. I seen it all. From liars, limited resources broker firm to red necks. Most buyers needed the home badly and worship the mortgage broker and causing a lot of them got spoiled. At the end I told myself, I will give two transactions to two different brokers and told them upfront whoever did a good job will get both deals at the end. Koenig Team won both deals at the end. The other broker extended the closing 3 times. Will Koenig the team leader really all about getting the business done. He stayed late at the closing date and I got the keys at 7PM. After only 1 1/2 yrs they sold our mortgage and we only got a 2 week notice before our payment was due to the new company. Part of the "selling" point with Cornerstone was that they keep their mortgages. So on top of them giving your information to spam companies, they don't keep their mortgages like they say they will. When I set out to purchase a new home, I decided to put my current lender that I used to buy my previous house in 2012 up against Cornerstone, which our Realtor had recommended. I took personal feelings out of it, since I really like my original lender, and told myself that I would go with whoever had the best rate. Low and behold, that turned out to be Cornerstone Home Lending, and it wasn't even close! They gave me a rate that my original lender could not begin to approach, in fact, he (the original lender) try to tell me that there was NO WAY that Cornerstone could give me the rate that Cody had promised. But Cody called me and put my mind at ease and I got the exact rate that he promised me on my loan. Outside of having the lowest rate, Cornerstone Home Lending always felt very "solid" throughout the process, and by that I mean that they had multiple people working on my loan to make sure that ever "I" was dotted and every "T" was crossed BEFORE we got to closing. They really took care of me every step of the way and answered all of my questions and saved me the most money. I don't plan on ever buying another house ( we bought our dream home), but I have recommended Cornerstone Home Lending to all of my friends and family that are in the market for a new house, and I think that you should use them as well.
