My wife and I recently completed the process of purchasing our first home. When our starter home started to feel a little too small and we started shopping for our second home, our realtor put us in touch with Cornerstone to handle our home financing. For our first home, we had gone through a traditional bank for our mortgage, and the two experiences were vastly different. With the bank, we were not presented with very many payment options or much flexibility, nor did we receive much personal interaction/communication, and they bungled our paperwork so much that we almost missed our closing date (despite having a full 30 days to process everything). As first-time home buyers, my husband and I were very nervous about the loan approval process. To be honest, it's the main reason that we waited so long to buy a house. After meeting with Angie and her amazing team, we wished we would have bought a house years ago! They were so wonderful to work with. First of all, the offices are gorgeous and so welcoming. Absolutely, the best customer service I have ever experienced. My husband and I bought my sister-in-laws home as an investment home through Cornerstone. We were denied from other lenders due to this transaction being an arms length transaction but not from Cornerstone. The home also came with multiple parcels but Cornerstone provided direction on how to deal with this issue and many others that came up during the process. This was our first time buying a house and our realtor recommended Will Koenig. I will admit there was a few times that things didn't go as smoothly as it probably could have and certain things could have been explained a bit better but I do understand that when you get team changes in the middle of stuff, bumps are to be expected.
